Oui Please Volume 4.4 Review

Oui Please Vol 4.4 serum 1 Oui Please Vol 4.4 serum 2 Oui Please Vol 4.4 serum 3

Codage Paris Serum No. 03, 0.34 oz - Retail Value $43.75 (€39.00)

I am always happy to see pricy French skincare in this box- I'll take it all, please. This serum is designed to brighten skin and has some unique ingredients like sea chamomile, Persian silk tree, and plankton extract. I have been using this in the mornings and applying a few drops to my cheeks before spreading it across my skin. It sinks in quickly, isn't sticky, and layers well with the rest of my skincare routine.

Oui Please Vol 4.4 codage milk

Codage Paris Concentrated Body Milk, 5.1 oz - Retail Value $56.08 (€50.00)

I love subscription boxes because I usually try stuff first and look at the price tag after, so I have been applying this luxe body cream with no concern for the high price tag. Granted, if I sparingly used all of my luxe products I would never run out (and thus would never be able to justify getting more). This is a true body milk in that it is very lightweight, however, it still provides impressive hydration to my skin. Ingredient all-stars include shea butter, jojoba, aloe vera, baobab seed oil, and linoleic acid. Good news for my scent-sensitive friends- while this does have added fragrance, it is the very last ingredient on the list and it is so faint I would almost call this an unscented product.

Atelier Alienor Espadrilles in Indigo - Listed Value $24 (check out other shoes from the brand here)

These espadrilles are handmade with a cotton canvas upper and a jute thread and recycled textile sole. Subscribers could choose their color, and my choice was indigo. I followed the sizing instructions when selecting my size, and while the fit was pretty snug at first the cotton stretched out just enough within a few minutes of wearing them for the first time to mold to my feet. I wouldn't want to wear these if I was going to be doing a lot of walking just because I need more support in my shoes, but these are easy and comfortable to slip on with a sundress or shorts and a tee and head out the door. I also think the quality for $24 shoes is pretty great compared to what I would normally expect from such affordable shoes.

Fifth Sense Lingerie One Piece Swimsuit - Listed Value $100 (check out other swimwear from the brand here)

As I am sitting here typing this review, the fact that this item is first and foremost from a lingerie company makes sense with how revealing of a one piece this is. Subscribers could choose between black, raspberry, and rose, and sizing went up to a size XL. The fabric itself felt amazing- much nicer than my $20 swimsuit from Walmart. While the bottom of this is cut in a cheeky style, it was still flattering on my behind. Unfortunately, this swimsuit was not designed for anyone who is larger than a B cup. There is literally no support up top, and it did not make for a cute look. I am right between a large and an XL right now, and I do think the XL fit me well—meaning this suit runs a touch small. The adjustable strappy back was a neat touch, and I definitely could see myself still wearing this with a t-shirt when I am swimming with friends or using the sauna at the spa. But in front of strangers, there is no way. I will also say that while the value is provided from Oui Please, it seems on par with what other one-piece swimsuits from Fifth Sense retail for.

Oui Please Vol 4.4 poppy 1 Oui Please Vol 4.4 poppy 2 Oui Please Vol 4.4 poppy 3

Les Néréides Paris Poppy Bracelet - Listed Value $60 (check out other poppy jewelry from the brand here)

I will take literally all of the Les Néréides-- the whimsical style speaks to my soul, and I love that the pieces usually are dainty while still adding a pop of color. I couldn't find this bracelet style. I actually love it-- I can put it on with one hand without issue, and the hand-enameled poppy charm is a delicate touch to my everyday style. Since this is so dainty, it layers well with other bracelets, too.

Oui Please Vol 4.4 brush 1 Oui Please Vol 4.4 brush 2 Oui Please Vol 4.4 brush 3 Oui Please Vol 4.4 brush 4

Bachca Paris Detangling Nylon Hairbrush - Retail Value $20.18 (€18.00)

I didn't expect to love this brush as much as I do, but I have been reaching for it all the time. It works similar to my wet brush to detangle my curls when my hair is wet, and it is also gentle on dry hair if I left my hair in braids to avoid dealing with my curls. I love the beechwood handle, and the ball tips on the bristles feel good on my scalp.

Oui Please Vol 4.4 clips 1 Oui Please Vol 4.4 clips 2

Bachca Paris Clic Clac Barrettes, 4 ct- Retail Value $5.49 (€4.90)

While I never considered myself especially concerned with what's trendy, barrettes like these are definitely making a comeback as a trendy accessory. This set comes with two pastel white and two metallic gold clips, and along with being trendy, they provide a strong hold when they are holding my hair back.

Oui Please Vol 4.4 elastics 1 Oui Please Vol 4.4 elastics 2

Bachca Paris Invisible Elastics, 4 ct - Retail Value $5.49 (€4.90)

I am a pretty religious Invisibobble user, and while I have tried similar products from other brands they typically stretch out much faster and do not provide the same hold. These impressed me-- I thought they worked just as well as my Invisibobbles!

The Verdict: While I know that the delay in shipping from Oui Please is frustrating to most subscribers, is there any other box that has sent you a pair of shoes in your size + your color choice? Plus a swimsuit? It's a new one for me, and I am impressed. I thought this was another great box covering all the bases I want in a luxe box-- nice skincare, jewelry from a beloved brand, and clothes! All I need are some French snacks, but it looks like volume 4.5 will have me covered there. Value-wise, I calculated a total value of $314.99, which exceeds the promised $300 value.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? I don’t believe so. You will get Volume 4.5 (check out our latest Oui Please spoilers to learn more!), and be aware this is a box that frequently ships late.

ACTIVE DEAL: Get 25% off your first box

  • Codage Body Milk: $26.70

I loved this box! It was my first Oui Please box and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The SHOES! My go to pair that go with everything from Tee shirt dresses to jeans!! The swimsuit was lined and ‘the perfect little black dress’ of swimsuits! The hair brush my favorite, the hair accessories on trend, the skin lotions amazing. My only problem was the beautiful bracelet was too small to fit over my hand/wrist even fully extended. I receive 5 subscription boxes and this Oui Please box my favorite so far. Hoping the future ones are as good!

Augh! I take away my endorsement! What a horrible experience I’ve had with Oui Please. Because I loved 4.4 box I joined annually and was stolen from by Oui please! Buyer Beware, this is not a professionally run company and they have send me promises is emails but have not kept one!

I loved the box so ordered an annual subscription on July 25 so that I would receive a second box and they sent me an email stating my box had shipped but the tracking number kept saying label created but not shipped. After several emails they said they were waiting for more shoes and swimsuits to come in but be patient yada yada… I asked to have any bracelets substituted for something else as my wrist is 7 1/2” and the bracelets they send are 6”. – they emailes back they have noted my acct and I would receive either a necklace or earrings instead of a bracelet in future boxes. Then 2 months later they sent me an email saying why don’t they give me the other items from the July box plus a additional month 7th box free and will include a chain for the clutch. I agreed! The September box arrived today – no items from the July box in there, no chain for the clutch and they sent a bracelet that is too tiny. I feel lead on and out and out lied to! I have written and requested a full refund for my annual subscription. Buyer Beware – Oui Please sounds like a great subscription box but is a nightmare company with no follow through and months of lying to its customer.

This has been my favorite box to see reviewed in MSA as I cannot afford to purchase the actual box. This has got to be the weirdest box I have seen. Maybe I am too old for sub boxes but that bathing suit doesn’t look sexy it looks sleazy. My feet hurt just looking at the shoes. I love the style but not the lack of insole. Oh well, my complaint for the week.

Agreed! I received several emails stating my box was shipped, then pending, then would be here by the end of the week. That was in September and still have not received anything. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and filed a fraudulent credit card charge back to receive the yearly $510 I paid. It’s a scam. DON’T PURCHASE!

Bonjour, Virginia!
We would love for you to give OuiPlease a try! Our next box will not feature any cloting or footwear, so you have nothing to worry about. Feel free to apply coupon code FRESH30 to enjoy 30% off of your purchase! 🙂

I thought this was the best sub box I’ve ever received. The swimsuit is so flattering! I never got so many compliments on a swimsuit before. And I’m fairly busty (34DD), 34yo—the black was so slimming. You can see how nice it looks on my IG at 40yearflip if you want to see the fit. The shoes were too small for me, but they fit my teenager. I loved all the other products, too!

Are we thinking the 4.5 box (next one) is completely revealed now? It seemed like they were promising more reveals, possibly a straw bag.

Bonjour, Lorina!
Although I cannot share more, I can assure you no straw bags will be featured in our French Start edition box. We’re super excited about the additional items in the upcoming spoiler releases!

I’m expecting another item to be revealed soon 🙂

I used to love this sub before they stopped delivering the boxes in the calendar year they were supposed to ship during.

Is it safe to resubscribe, do you think, or is it still hit or miss risky?

I won’t be going back to Paris in the foreseeable future, maybe never, and I miss my Parisian finds so very much.

NEED opinions, please? 🙂

Bonjour, Lily!
We want to assure you that we have doubled in staff and are making the necessary arrangements to avoid future delays. We would love if you would give OuiPlease another chance to win you over. This is my favorite box. The curation is usually very unique and products are high quality. Customer service has been absolutely fantastic. However, you do need to be zen about expected delivery times to be able to enjoy this box. They are importing items from France and delays can and most likely will happen.

Reply ButtonReply

Mary

I don’t know the answer to that, especially since I am a relatively new subscriber. But I can say:

My April box came in May.
My June box came in August.
And while technically our next box should be an August box, they are promoting it as a September box.

So they are definitely running behind BUT I have never felt like the box wouldn’t show up. Personally, I don’t mind waiting, but I think they could do better in communicating delays. And I’ve been very pleased with most everything in the boxes. When I didn’t feel like items were quite as promised, customer service was quick to offer a satisfactory solution.

Hope this helps!

LOVED IT! This was my first box from Oui Please and it’s one of the best boxes I’ve tried so far. Great RV and curation. 4.5 really disappointed me but I’m so looking forward 4.6 to give it another try!

Yay!! Super happy you enjoyed your first box, Nicole! Just a little reminder that we will be releasing more spoilers within the next couple of weeks which we think you’ll love!

I LOVED the swimsuit and espadrilles. I chose black suit and natural shoes and it looked so chic at the beach and pool. If you aren’t loving your items please put them up for swap! I would love extras as gifts!

SO happy to hear you enjoyed your box, Georgia! 🙂

I loved this box!

I live in FL where it seems to be “normal” to wear thong like bottoms now a days… so the cheeky bottom on the swimsuit is no issue for me. I was the most covered up when I wore it!!! I do wish the top had some extra lining or something, as my nipples pop thru (I requested one of the pink colors) but I don’t mind as it adds some sexyness to this one piece. Just have to think twice on where I wear this.

Maybe I ordered wrong, but my shoes are actually too big! I only tried them on once, so I will try again. I have the perfect friend in mind who would love them and also happens to be a size larger than me – worst case I’ve got her covered for Christmas already🎄

I traded away the lotion to one of my favorite swappers, I just have so much product already, she said she loves it and now I secretly wish I had kept it LOL

Honestly everything I’ve gotten has been 1)perfect for myself 2) perfect for someone I know 3) easily swap-able. I’ve considered getting a second sub!! What other sub sends such useful and unique items!!

Reply ButtonReply

Bonjour, Beccaox!
Oh no! Just want you to know that I can gladly assist in sending a replacement in a smaller size to you. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected] so that I can expedite the process. Otherwise, I’m more than certain your friend will enjoy them! 😉

I absolutely loved this box. I got the black shoes, and I typically wear a size 7 so I ordered the size 38. They fit great. What a great value since I ordered the one year subscription back on Black Friday with 45% off, so I’m paying about $60 per box.

Bonjour, Kelly!
We, too, were super excited about our Voyage edition box and are thrilled you feel the same!

Jerilynn

I am loving Oui Please these days! I could not fit the swimsuit but fortunately my daughter could and it looks great on her. Loved the shoes though they are a little tight and all the rest of the items are quality though with my thick hair the brush doesn’t work for me. Very excited for the next box and really impressed with the way this company has turned things around. Ashley is always great to deal with.

Merci, Jerilynn!

Heather

I got the suit in a small for my daughter. She tried it on and said it fit, but I doubt it’ll ever get worn. Sad that it’s really just going to waste.

I wear a 6.5 shoe, which should be between a 36 and 37. I got the size 37 in red. I couldn’t even get my foot in the shoe past my toes. I do not have wide feet.
I’m glad to hear the shoes stretch, so I’ll try again, but I don’t think I’ll be able to get them on. I feel like an ugly step-sister. Maybe if they were wet? I think those will go to waste too. I’ve considered cutting a slit in the center, but there’s no coming back from that.

I thought the hair brush was a little sharp and it kind of hurt my head, but it’s cute and I’ll still use it as well as the other hair accessories. My daughter said the barrettes were really in trend. A not-so-subtle attempt at trying to get me to give them to her…nope. I’m sure they would have really popped against her blue hair.

She flat out asked for the bracelet after I mentioned I have so many already. I think this is number 5?. Also not happening. She can have it when I’m dead.

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

Bonjour, Heather!
Oh no! I am sorry to hear about the espadrilles fitting too tight. Please reach out to me at [email protected] and I will have a replacement pair sent to you in the size needed.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

Tried the shoes again and they were tight, but no problem getting my feet in them. My feet must have been oddly swollen the first time I tried them. After wearing them a few hours a couple times, they fit fine.

Taren

I didn’t get to wear the swimsuit yet but it feels lovely and silky. Might make a nice undergarment. Loving the body lotion and my kids keep stealing the hair brush. After 3 years my Les Nereides collection is amazing and I love every piece!

Reply ButtonReply

Bonjour, Taren!
I am very happy to hear you enjoyed your box! Isn’t Les Nereides fabulous?! It’s definitely a OuiPlease favorite brand!

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

I agree! I am always excited to see another Les Nereides piece. I also like the Bangle Up cuffs and hope to get a stack of them.

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

Jessica – I believe you mistakenly put the wrong brand name and corresponding link to the Atelier Alienor website. The tag on the shoes says Payote.

I do love the shoes and received compliments on them today.

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah

Were people who are above an XL offered an alternative item instead of the bathing suit? The suit is cute, but would never fit me.

Reply ButtonReply

Taren

Not that I could tell, but this was the first and probably only time they’ve done a swimsuit so I doubt it would be an issue again.

So the espadrilles are actually from Payote not Atelier Alienor. OP showed a pair from Atelier Alianor in one of its spoilers, but the actual shoes are Payote, as shown on the tag. Here’s the website. https://www.payote.fr/
