Luxe Catch Posh Box “Summer Crush” June 2019 Review

June's theme is “Summer Crush” and includes styles for hot-weather adventures. Orders for this box were May 1-31 (shipped in June). Luxe Catch always sends out spoilers and sometimes sends "choosy" emails so you can pick your type of items. They ask for your preference and you also have the option to let them know of any special requests. This is a great opportunity to work with the stylists to find something that is right for you.

You can post a picture of your catch on social media (and tag Luxe Catch) for a chance to win a free box!

With the Posh Box, I receive a print-out with "The Luxe Find" which gives info on the brands included and offers tips for styling my new pieces. There is also an invoice with the MSRP of the items and a breakdown of the savings.

Value and savings breakdown for my Posh Catch! This month, I received 3 pieces from Halston Heritage.

Flounce Sleeve Lace Top, Size 6 - Original MSRP $345

I'm enjoying the details on this unique top! The outer layer is a sheer black mesh with white embroidery-like stitching. The cotton/nylon material has a hint of stretch and there's a hidden side zipper to make getting dressed easier. The bodice is lined with a polyester lining that is soft and comfortable against the skin. While this is meant to be an off-the-shoulder top, I tend to wear the sleeves a little higher up. No matter how you style it, the fluttery, sheer sleeves and ripples of fabric down the back make for a flirty date night outfit.

Cape Sleeve Open Back Dress, Size 6 - Original MSRP $295

This goddess-esque dress is part of Halston Heritage's Evening Collection. It's supposed to be a bit more drapey and would be if it were a size or two up. I'm going to reach out and request that my size for dresses be marked up to an 8/10 or L to give me a bit more wiggle room. Otherwise, this is a beautiful dress. I love the back drape detail and the billowing sleeves! The bodice is fully lined but the sleeves are left with just the white polyester chiffon which allows for more movement. The info card says this dress can be easily taken from day to night with a quick swap of accessories.

Sleeveless Square Neck Jumpsuit, Size M - Original MSRP $395

Since jumpsuits are everywhere right now, I'm excited to try this boho style version. The olive green silky style is made with polyester and has many fun details like the delicately-ruched square neckline held up by thin straps that tie in the back, the dainty trim around the sheer leg panels, the ruched waist, and the genie-like leg shape. My only hurdle is finding a bra solution that will hide and stay stuck in this heat. Oh yea, it has pockets!

The Verdict: The "Summer Crush" Posh collection has a little bit of every hot summer trend this year – jumpsuits, crisp whites, cascading fabrics – and includes pieces that can be transitioned from day to night events with a simple change of accessories. I love the textures and details of these pieces and can understand the higher MSRP for higher quality. Like I mentioned above, I'll be reaching out to customer service to request a size update for some items and to give them a better understanding of my sizing needs. Since there are no returns or exchanges with this box, it's super important to reach out with any questions or concerns to make each month better.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The “Summer Crush” box sign up period has passed but you can check out the current theme on their Insta feed. If you sign up August 1-31, you'll receive the "Back to Business" September box as your first catch. From Luxe Catch:

If you placed a new order between 1-31 of the month, it ships within the first two weeks of the following month. Example: If you order July 5th, expect your order to ship in the first two weeks of August. LUXE CATCH boxes renew every 15th of the month for existing orders.

ACTIVE DEAL: Save 20% off your first box!

Value Breakdown: The 3 items I received in my Posh Box have an MSRP of $1,035. The Posh Box costs $250, so there's a savings of $785 off MSRP and a 77% discount.

I logged into my account and I still can’t find out how to cancel. Also why did they not ask me for a card

Had thoughts of trying this box, after reading the mixed reviews will take my $$$ and make my own box! Thank all who had real world experience with this company and shared.

As many of you have mentioned TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack and flash sales are much safer bets.

You look beautiful. I love your hair!!
But I think This post should be fact checked better. They are not actually sending YSL. Halston heritage is the low end line for Halston. Nicole Miller is sold at Marshall’s. Nothing they’ve sent out could actually be considered high end luxury. If I thought I could get YSL I would sign up for this box. But having gotten made in China clothes that are usually the wrong sizes I know that this is false advertising. This box would better be labeled as a tj maxx box. But no returns or exchanges.

Rini

Oh and by the way, Halston Heritage IS the higher end line for Halston that is sold in Saks & Bloomies. H by Halston is the lower end line.

Rini

I’m sorry girl, but if you thought you’d get YSL in a box that costs $250, you probably don’t know how much it really costs. The Posh box is Luxe Catch’s contemporary branded box. They are coming out with a higher end version which will surely include some of these bigger brands.

Cindy

You mean I won’t get high end designer clothes that retail for thousands of dollars in a 250.00 box? Well hmphhh lol totally joking. I agree people need to keep their expectations and common sense in check.

Katy

$250 is too much money to spend for a no returns or exchanges box. Especially since they seem to have a habit of sending incorrect sizes to begin with.

Rini

I’ve personally had no issue with that. The only time they sent me a wrong size was when an item ran small and they sized me up. Sure, that item was a tad too big. But with the value that comes in the box, I had no issue to bring it to my seamstress and get taken in to custom fit me…only cost me an extra $10…where I saved like $700 anyway….I guess it just depends how you look at it.

Everything looks great on you!

This is actually the most impressive clothing curation I have seen in one of these posts. That first shirt looks phenomenal on you, so does the dress! I’m not a fan of jumpsuits on anyone…at all. Lol! This one still looks nice on you though! I imagine you could wear a brown paper bag and make it look incredible. You are very, very pretty! You’re makeup looks fantastic.

When i tried it before I went with the 1 item box. It was the leather box but I suspected that could be hit or miss and chose a sweater instead. I received a gorgeous blue cashmere Nicole Miller.

Belle

Everything looks so good on you gorgeous!!

I subbed to a box at the beginning of the year with a guaranteed leather jacket. When the choice email came out I chose red bomber. They sent me a black bomber. Not the end of the world but what’s the point of having choice if you don’t follow it. I also only got 2 items (1 was an UGLY leather shirt). They have 0 customers service after you subscribe. My box also got returned to sender and I had to send 20+ emails to get them to respond and finally resend it to me. I didn’t even complain about the color by the time the box finally came I was just happy to have it. I wouldn’t subscribe again.

I hate the clothes themselves (totally not my style), but the reviewer looks so good in them! Even the jumpsuit (which is as horrible as a garment as leggins) is attractive. My compliments, you look beautiful!

Reply ButtonReply

Rini

They have style personalities which you get to choose from when you subscribe. So you’re guaranteed to get styles you would love.

I had similar issues with this box. I’m a M and they sent me a S saying it runs big. It didn’t and they wouldn’t replace it. Customer service is non-existent. I bought based on the reviews but even with a 50% off coupon I found the same items cheaper at Marshall’s or tj maxx. The items are definitely not luxe. Still made in China and the brands are what you’d typically find on sale at tj maxx. Save your money and at least spend it where you can exchange or return. I hope that’s made clear on future reviews.

Lisa

I agree with Joy, if the company wouldn’t do anything I’d definitely contact your credit card company and file a dispute. You ordered a box of size medium items. They sent you the wrong size, they can’t dispute that. Frankly it sounds like the customer service is atrocious. I really think MSA should look into how they are treating their customers before being so positive in their reviews. MSA keeps getting these $250 boxes for free and giving great reviews. But their readers are actually paying $250 of their own hard earned money for these boxes and it seems like they are really getting screwed by being sent wrong sizes and then are denied any exchanges or any sort of customer assistance.

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

If you ordered a medium and they sent you a small that the kind of thing that a credit card company would support a chargeback for. If you ordered a small and were send a small and it didn’t fit tough luck but in that case you didn’t get what you paid for literally.

Cindy

This review needs to make it very clear that they don’t allow refunds, exchanges or returns for any reason so be absolutely sure of your size for each designer.

Reply ButtonReply

Rini

That’s not entirely true. Sure, they don’t do refunds or returns. But they sometimes can work on an exchange….its happened to me. You just have to reach out & be patient.

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

I had the opposite problem with this box. I am 5’2 and around 80lbs so I have a tough time finding clothes that are small enough. Even the designer xxs and 0 they sent were too big. I don’t know if they go down to a size 00 but I did mention that. Luckily I have a friend who fit perfectly into everything so she got a lovely early birthday gift. I would only recommend this if you are certain of your size with each designer. They don’t allow returns, exchanges or refunds for any reason.

Reply ButtonReply

Rini

Sure, sizing can be an issue. But the value is amazing so I normally take things to my seamstress to get fixed for my size specifically…just an option.

Reply ButtonReply

Lee

Is that jumpsuit sheer?

Reply ButtonReply

Rosemary

I love the black top and the white dress, but the jumpsuit looks like it’s made for people who don’t benefit much from wearing a bra at all. Perhaps you can take it to a tailor and make some cute pants out of it so you can pair the bottom part with some of the other cute tops that you model for us?

Reply ButtonReply

Rini

Thats a great idea! I got the same jumpsuit in one of my boxes and it would probably be cuter as an outfit that I can mix and match with different tops and bottoms! Thanks for the tip!

Cary San

Go braless or use chicken cutlets lol those are the sticky ones with no back.

Reply ButtonReply

Nanners

Agreed, chicken cutlet style cups are the best! Also you’re lookin’ hot Tiffany! ☺️

Stacey

I got this box based off the reviews on this site and gave it a go for the last two months. I picked the same profile as you but didn’t get any of the things you did – this last month they sent me two dresses that would never fit. I listed that I am a size small and they sent one XS and an XXS! They don’t do size exchanges and they don’t do refunds so I spent a ton of money for stuff that doesn’t fit. Don’t sub to this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Rini

I had an issue like that before and it did take some time to get answers….but guess what?! They did do an exchange so I don’t see why they wouldn’t do it for you. Be patient.

Reply ButtonReply

Rini

I had the same issue once! But I emailed and they totally gave me some options to exchange the item with comp shipping or discount off my next box.

Reply ButtonReply

If they won’t replace with the size you ordered you could dispute transaction with your cc company. That puts it on the sub box to prove they delivered what you paid for (which they didn’t!). I respond to disputes as part of my job & it’s actually pretty hard for a business to win even with valid proof; seems to go in favor of the consumer most of the time.

Hopefully that will work for you- I hate seeing people lose $$ on things like this!

Reply ButtonReply

A

That’s awful Stacey. I know it says final sale, but maybe you could get replacements since they didn’t actually send you your correct size?? Were you happy with the selections besides the incorrect size? It makes me wonder if you were sent those sizes because they are often the sizes left at clearance time unfortunately.

While I think everything is beautiful, I would be terribly afraid of spending this much and having it be too small, As it seems to be an issue for not just you, Tiffany’s mentioned sizing up too (I think it’s really smart to size up Tiffany btw, you can always have something taken in, but you can’t always have it taken out)

Reply ButtonReply

Lizc

Wow! Tiffany you look gorgeous! Of all the clothing subscriptions this one seems like the best. I really want to try this again.

Reply ButtonReply

Joy

Same! I love every box she gets. Its hard to believe they get this right every time. When i get my funds straight im definatly getting this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Rini

I love all my boxes! I’ve gotten some items that I would have never found otherwise. And sometimes when the fit isn’t quite perfect, I take it to my seamstress to fix up because the value is just soooo great to pass up.
