LiveGlam ShadowMe "Magical Dust" Review

Included is a pretty info card with suggestions on shade pairings.

This month's palette is called "Magical Dust." It's packaged inside a matching cardboard sleeve.

I love unicorns, but sometimes I feel a little too "mature" for some of the magical stuff. Let's peek inside and see how we feel about the colors.

I think there are some absolute winners in here! It looks to be like a good blend of easy to wear shades along with the bold and crazy colors I usually expect from this subscription. Let's dive into some swatches.

Top to bottom: Sparkle, Dream, Mythical, Believe

Top to bottom: Unicorn Kisses, Magic Wishes, Enchanted, Glam Land, Fanta-Sea

The first shadow that caught my eye was the 'Believe' shade. It is this gorgeous dusty mauve that looks matte until you apply it and then a very subtle shimmer emerges. Love! My other favorites were 'Magic Wishes,' a lavender with a blue shimmer, and 'Enchanted,' a dirty burgundy with pink shimmer.

This look was a mix of Believe, Unicorn Kisses, Magic Wishes, Mythical, and Sparkle.

This second look is composed of Fanta-Sea, Magical Wishes, Enchanted, and Sparkle.

The Verdict: ShadowMe continues to be loads of fun and also a challenge to my eyeshadow skills. This is one of those subscriptions that could be fun for people like me with growing skills as well as seasoned eyeshadow enthusiasts. Because the shades always seem to range from neutral to wild, I feel like anyone could find at least a few colors they love wearing. I thought the formulas this month were really nice! The pigment was great and even the matte shades were buttery smooth.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

What is the point of a subscription to a box where you spend $20 for a random eyeshadow.

Is there anyone in the beauty box universe who isn’t glutted with eyeshadow palettes in boxes which also contain other items which bring up actual value?

And for that amount, there are multiple great options that one selects oneself. Or for the price of two an awesome palette from Urban Decay or other great brand.

I often wonder what the point is of commenting only to bash others personal preferences. Since I prefer pretty specific shadows, I don’t subscribe to this box but enjoy reading the reviews. In fact, I’m not glutted with eyeshadow palettes but I guess I’m the only one in the beauty box universe!

Your eye looks are great Megan! I was going to skip this one, but ended up getting it for my youngest as October is her birthday. Seeing the looks you put together and the swatches I know I made the right choice, she is going to LOVE this palette! 🙂
