Kinder Beauty Box Natural Beauty July 2019 Review

Each box comes with an info card that has each product pictured with a short description and listed value, so you know what each product is worth.

Scentuals Sleep Well Mist Spray, 100 fl oz - Retail Value $10.63

Scentuals really killed it with this room spray; it smells exactly as I'd expect a sleep mist would, very heavy on the lavender and chamomile. There are also notes of jasmine and ylang-ylang that complement this very herbal fragrance. I recommend shaking this spray up before using since it is made up of essential oils, and the first few sprays do not come out as a fine mist, so you should not spray it directly over any stainable surfaces (lesson learned!).

Dr. Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask, 30 ml - Listed Value $17.99

For a gal with dry skin, sleeping masks are a godsend. Apply a thin layer before bedtime, and thanks to antioxidants from pomegranates, this regenerating mask brightens and soothes the skin for a fresh, supple complexion in the morning. It doesn't have a strong fragrance, which I am thankful for, and I am happy to report that it did not leave any residue on my pillow. This mask is also free from synthetic perfumes, colorants and parabens.

Koha Beauty Bamboo Toothbrush - Retail Value $3.80

I love getting useful, practical items in subscription boxes. This bamboo toothbrush is such a great alternative to your everyday plastic find. It is biodegradable, BPA free, naturally antibacterial and the bristles are soft and gentle on my gums. I love how affordable this brand is, too!

Zion Health ClayBrite White Non-Fluoride Toothpaste, 2 oz. - Retail Value $7.49

Zion natural toothpaste helps to whiten teeth, heal gums and control cavities with the use of Montmorillonite Clay. I've searched high and low for a natural toothpaste that makes my mouth feel as sparkling clean as my Arm & Hammer favorite does, and unfortunately, Zion was not a good contender. My teeth felt relatively clean after using, but the mint flavor is not very strong and it didn't foam up as some of my favorites do.

Timeless Organics CoQ10 Age Defying Lotion, 2 oz. - Listed Value $19.99, Estimated Value $9.99 (Buy a 4o z bottle for $19.99)

I guess at age 30 it is about time to start using body care with age-defying properties, so this lotion will be a good starting point. It is a lightly fragranced blend with some of the top ingredients being water, coconut oil and sunflower seed oil. It sunk into my skin immediately, and although it is made up of several oils, it did not leave my skin feeling oily or greasy. This is definitely my favorite find from Kinder Beauty this month!

Folly Fire Lipstick in Full House - Retail Value $15

What a bold color choice for a summer lippie! This vampy red applied smoothly leaving a matte finish. It felt comfortable on my lips, although I always prep lipstick application with a balm. Full House wore nicely for about an hour and faded into a more wearable shade that I ended up touching up with a shimmering gloss for the rest of the day. I like the buildable formula, but I would have liked to try something a little milder for a less demanding application and wear this summer.

Verdict: I liked the eclectic collection that Kinder Beauty Box sent out for July. I found every sample to be useful, even though the lipstick color isn't quite my speed for this season. Using sale, estimated, and retail values, July’s box has a total value of $64.90 which is pretty good for a $24 box, although I felt this month's box was missing a higher ticketed item. I do love that Kinder Beauty sends an assortment of different products, and I always look forward to what next month’s box brings.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, the August box is currently available for purchase.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

The lotion is amazing! Just getting around to trying it now, and when I run out of all the gazillion other body lotions and creams in my stock pile, this will be my go to!

I was excited about the lipstick and loved the color – and then I got it. The formula is dry and unforgiving. Unfortunately, this box is was a bit of a disappointment though the spray is nice.

I loved the sleeping mask.

I felt the lipstick was more appropriate for a Fall box and though the formula was nice and creamy, it just wasn’t a wearable colour for me and definitely not a Summer shade at all. The sleep mist was the standout product, IMHO. Was a little disappointed in this month’s box.

I got his box. I liked it but the toothpaste is a miss too.

Great review Abby! If you’ve never tried Hello (they sell it at Target) their natural mint is MINTY. Might be what you’re looking for.

Thanks for the rec! I just recently tried the Charcoal/Hemp version from this month’s Target beauty box (it was great!) so I’ll definitely be giving the mint a go on my next trip 🙂

The jumble of fonts on that toothpaste is making my eye twitch.

I’m so glad you brought that up! Haha, I was thinking the same thing when I was unboxing. Definitely one strikeout right off the bat!
