I am crushed. I was so excited about the boxes. I loved the first one. The shadows are stunning and the packaging is gorgeous. However, the highlighters I received in the second box are too dark for my very fair skin. I just sent my fourth email. The first two were about the liquid lipstick undertone. And the second two about the highlighters. So far, no response. I just want them to make it right for me. I am disabled due to a horrible wreck I was in that wasn’t my fault. Therefore, I am now on a fixed income. I also am on bedrest. It is a sacrifice for me to get a box. I hope that someone reads this message and responds.

XOXO

He actually announced he is canceling the subscription box because he had issues with the company doing the billing and processing for his box.

When and where did he announce it? This is the first I’m hearing of this. Thanks.

Liz should do a post announcing this. Did you send her the announcement?

I am a subscriber. The Hank and Henry formulas are ABSOLUTELY wonderful to say the least and are worth EVERY penny!!! Not to mention subscribers get first release items in their sub box before its released to the general public. BUT his customer service and shipping time are a fail for me! Sub boxes are not billed in the month in which the box is received, but the month prior. For Septembers box they deducted payment on August 1st. The first box was issued slightly earlier than stated it would be, which intrigued me.
My first box was missing an item. It took several emails and weeks to receive my item. I placed an order for producys on the site July 4th and still have not received my order. I’ve emailed them SEVERAL times and so has my financial institute. They dont allow you to call for shipping/customer service related issues they referr you to an email address. Someone finally contacted me via email a week ago or longer and provided me with a tracking number, but this information has never updated, still says label created….

Yes, please! I have been hearing a lot of hype about missing out on “the best sub box ever”. Looking at it, I feel like I am missing something. It doesn’t look like the best box ever so those eyeliners must float up out of that box and apply themselves or something. 😉

Sooo I was going to say yessss but im not paying $8 for shipping! Not unless its a super better value box.

Shipping is NOT included and it’s $8 a box – just FYI for anyone looking to subscribe. I was definitely interested in this, but not a $50 a box.

This particular box is soooo not worth $37 ( 2 highlighters and 2 eyeliners? really??). BUT I’m interested in this brand and if what others say about the first box being bomb is true, I’m intrigued.

I have no advice in terms of whether it makes sense to review but I would personally be unlikely to purchase this box as it has limited appeal for me at a $37.00 price point.

A lipstick in a color I have not specifically chosen
Two eye liners
A makeup brush – these are not MAC brushes and brushes are regularly included in the $10 Ipsy bag or Glam Bag Plus or Boxycharm with slightly higher price points.
A highlighter? As if anyone in the beauty box world doesn’t have a lifetime supply of highlighters.

It’s not that I am specifically against the brand – I just think $37 is a lot to spend for a pig in a poke. There really is not $37 worth of value to me in this box.

Exactly what I was thinking. Value isn’t there.

Even less of a value for $45 since shipping is not included.

I don’t get the market for this kind of box. That is $540 per year. For that amount I can easily buy exactly the items I want. With a beauty box there are always going to be items that don’t work but either the price point (e.g. Ipsy) is low or the price point is a bit higher (GBP or Boxy) but the ratio of value is higher as it’s much easier to get at least the value of price paid from the product assortment.

With this box there is definitely not $45 worth of products

I’m curious about this one because I’ve only seen so many products on the website so I’m curious how many months until you have every item.

Ronda

Definitely please. This box is already in my sight, when my move and no buy is over.

Yes please! The first box was amazing! The second box is going to be great! An indie brand that rivals big brands. The mascara and eye kits are superb. The liquid lipsticks are like velvet. Hank and Henry is an amazing brand. Vegan and trend setting. The highlighters are not glittery so they don’t show the texture of your skin. You will not be disappointed.

Hank & Henry is not indie. They come up with the ideas but someone else makes the products for them and then Hank & Henry distribute the product.

I received the July Box and it is now my absolute favorite Sub Box! I cancelled Ipsy, Ipsy GBP, Boxycharm, Boxy Luxe, and Allure because this box is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Can not wait for September’s Box!!

why would you not review it?? I missed the post about glitter b**ch and I’m upset because i wanted to see that one get reviewed. This is a site that reviews subscription boxes, why even ask? review it!!

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Were you just looking for a good laugh with the glitter box?😂 I’m sorry, I just thought that box was dollar store garbage, so I had to vote no on wasting anyone’s time reviewing it. In general I agree though, it’s a review site, so of course we will all be interested in any new boxes coming to the table.

There are definitely some boxes that are such a waste of time to review, and aren’t even worth a laugh. I miss the Oreo reviews, THOSE were hilarious. SlutBox reviews are pretty entertaining too.

amber

Well, they only have so much time in a day to review boxes and try products. So why review boxes and waste time if nobody is going to sub to the box? (Other than the couple of boxes that are done for comedy….lol)

Yes. I heard good things about them. 🙂
