Enchanted Crystal of the Month: Zeolites

First, you'll see a greeting from Adam of Enchanted Crystal. I love these personal notes as they explain behind the scenes details.

Our specimen this month is actually a pair of zeolites from India.

Let's unwrap!

Zeolite #1

FYI: This specimen is about 2 inches x 2 inches.

Ok, so these are interesting. Zeolites aren't one single mineral, but a collection of minerals with similar structures. They grow together like some sort of magical coral and come in many different colors, shapes, sizes, textures, you get the idea! Our first one is a white piece with different "towers" growing from the same base. This one really does look just like coral, even with a porous base.

Zeolite #2

FYI: This specimen is about 2 inches long and around 1 inch tall

Our second specimen is my favorite because it is the most delightful peachy nude shade. It also has a really interesting sheen that is hard to see in our images, but reminds me of moonlight. It has more shine and sheen than the first piece but is textured sort of like a Rice Krispie treat.

Enchanted Crystal always sends bonus crystals or minerals in a small bag as well.

Good to Know: These are generally no more than an inch long.

Tangerine Matchstick Quartz

How freaking magical are these? More "fairy teeth" for my quartz collection! These pieces have a delicate peach hue to them, hence the mention of tangerine in their name. Each piece is really interesting to examine for little inclusions and oddities.

Sodalite

I confuse this mineral with Lapiz Lazuli all the time. They both share an unforgettable blue and very interesting patterning.

Milky Quartz

I love quartz because it comes in so many different colors and varieties. This one is a beautiful, pure white with a very subtle texture of clear mixed throughout in a soft marbled effect.

Verdict: Enchanted Crystal sent me some new pieces for my collection that are unlike anything I have. I adore that peach zeolite so much! As usual, the pieces are as beautiful as they are educational, and I very much appreciate the informative info sheet that came with my new treasures this month.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Does everyone receive the same “stone of the month”. This was my first month and I got something different in my box for the featured stone but my little baggy of smaller stones were the same. I’m just wondering if this is the case on your first month and after that you get what everyone else does or if the stone is always kinda random. Also, do they track what you’ve received so they don’t send you duplicates of the featured stones?

As a side note what do you do with all these crystals? Do you display them? My daughter has a crystal obsession ad buys them whenever we travel or she falls in love with one, but I have no idea how to manage it! They’re just in her jewelry box…or in her carseat, basically anywhere.

They kind of just collect everywhere honestly! I have a ton on my desk and on the windowsills and also quite a few on my mantles at home with candles. If you came to my house you would probably think I had a problem! I am waiting on my husband to have time to build me a glasstop coffee table that had a compartment under the glass so I can display them there 🙂
