Bless Box "Summer Time" July 2019 Review

Bless Box July info

The full magazine that used to come with this box is now 100% online, but we did receive an info sheet detailing the products included.

Bless Box July revlon 1 Bless Box July revlon 2

We also received a coupon for a free Revlon root erase hair dye. To redeem, subscribers must follow the instructions on the back of the card and the full-size product will be mailed to you. I am thankfully still free from grey hairs, but I will be redeeming this in the shade of my mom's hair!

LSTN Sound Co. Crescent Premium Wireless Earbuds - Retail Value $69.99

Hello, hero item! Along with these headphones being worth about twice the cost of this entire box, they are made from recycled plastic, have a three-hour battery life, and connect wirelessly to your phone or computer. My workouts of choice include high-impact training and finishing with yoga, and previously I have been using the headphones that came with my iPhone. While I think my Apple headphones have slightly better sound quality, I love that these are cordless and don't get caught when I am doing mountain climbers or sun salutations the way my other headphones do, and these have become my go-to workout headphones. I am no audio expert, but for perspective, I do think these have performed better than the headphones that came in the 2018 Fall FabFitFun box. I would say my biggest critique is that I don't know how much battery remains, so I have had them die on me mid-workout.

Bless Box July form

Form Protect Heat Serum, 4 oz - Retail Value $29

I have slowly started to heat style my hair more frequently, so heat protectants like this one are an absolute must. This protects hair from heat tools up to 450 degrees, and it also adds a boost of shine. I'm a fan, and a little bit goes a long way!

Bless Box July fast beauty

Fast Beauty Co. Face Mask in Drink Up - Retail Value $4.99

This mask is made of biocellulose, which is my favorite sheet mask material after hydrogels for the close fit and cooling sensation. This mask is alcohol-free and made with argan oil and hibiscus, and it was a treat to wear.

Bless Box July yes peas 1 Bless Box July yes peas 2

Popchips Yes Peas in Himalayan Salt, 1 oz - Listed Value $1 (Buy six 3-ounce bags for $23.48)

My bag arrived a little smushed, but I am always happy to try out a healthy snack. These have only three ingredients (peas, oil, salt), and I thought they gave a nice salty crunch which is sometimes all I want in a snack.

Bless Box July summers eve

Summer's Eve Fresh Cycle Cleansing Cloths, 4 count - Estimated Value $0.83 (Buy 24 individually-packaged cloths for $4.99)

These pH-balanced cloths are specifically designed to be used while you are on your period to reduce odor and remove bacteria. It's a highly personal preference on if products like these are something you want to use, but I appreciate the individual packaging to keep in my purse or overnight bag if the need to use them arises.

Bless Box July kiss ny

Kiss NY Charcoal Wash Off Mask - Listed Value $9

This mask isn't available from a US-based seller for reasons I don't understand. The first four ingredients on this mask are water, kaolin, glycerin, and bentonite, so it works really well at purifying pores. Since my cheeks can get dry and tight easily, I used this as a spot treatment on active breakouts and on my T-zone, and I felt like my skin felt more balanced after using.

Bless Box July gyv 1 Bless Box July gyv 2

GYV Hand Cream in Mango - Listed Value $4 (Buy the full-size version for $24)

I was amused when I pulled this out of the box- about six months ago a friend gave me a candle from this same brand in the same mango scent. I wish this little jar was filled up all the way, though, because it smells great and my hands soaked it right up.

Bless Box July gyv coupon

We also received a coupon.

Bless Box July true lemon 1 Bless Box July true lemon 2 Bless Box July true lemon 3

True Lemon Fruit Infusions in Lemon Mint, 1 box of 10 - Retail Value $3.99

True Lemon Fruit Infusions in Lemon Strawberry, 1 box of 10 - Retail Value $3.99

I drink a lot of water and sometimes you need some flavoring after a while. My favorite flavored water is Hint Water, but those bottles can get expensive. Enter: these packets. They dissolve easily in water and don't leave a grainy texture, and they add a nice flavor. My preferred taste is one half a packet in one 16.9 oz water bottle (chilled), and this is definitely a product I will repurchase after these boxes are gone- they are calorie-free with no added sugars.

The Verdict: I have been reviewing this box for about a year, and I think this is the best box I have seen from them yet. For the first time in a long time it actually arrived during the month of July, the value is over the promised amount, and the curation is spot on. Everything is both useful and of good quality, and the difference between this box and last month's feels like night and day. I calculated a total value of $126.79 for everything this month- keep it up, Bless Box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but subscribe by the 17th to receive that month's box. From Bless Box:

Bless Box ships once per month, usually between the 19th and 22nd. If you subscribed on or before the 17th, you will receive a box that month. If you subscribed after the 17th, your first box will ship the following month unless otherwise stated.

Besides the sheet mask set about to expire, I checked the Cacao and it also expires within a month. The review for August is not up yet so I’m posting here. Frankly this box is a mess of random products that looks as if they came from the bargain basement.

I agree.
After I received the August box, I had to cancel. The cacao about to expire and the same with the masks. And that ugly pink bucket, ugh!

I received my August box and the expiration for the sheet masks is 09/25/19. How am I supposed to use them in one week? I was overall disappointed in this box.

Hi Jessica, about the root erase, I am welcoming my graying hairs as a badge of honor for reaching older age. My mother has white hair and it looks lovely! I’m all for the pro-age movement so perhaps you will also rethink your choices as you gracefully age!!

I subscribe to many boxes and I will say that I love that FORM heat serum. I hadn’t heard of the brand before and I may have to buy more when I run out. But it will last me a while thankfully because I only need a couple of drops to cover my hair.

I love the packets to flavor water too and the chips.

I am curious to try the mask and the earphones tonight. Thank you for the helpful review!
