Harper & Ari Coconut Candle, 9 oz - Retail Value $18.00
Oh, I have a hard time in the summer. It seems like all the items I get in my boxes are coconut and beach scented. I totally get that it is seasonally appropriate and most people like these smells. I really dislike coconut! This candle has a very natural coconut scent and is creamy and slightly milky. It is pretty authentic! I didn't notice much of the rum or lime notes described on the card.
I lit it and let it burn for a little while, and though I don't like this scent, it was very mild and not a room-filler. I decided to add a few drops of essential oil to see if this was a scent I could enjoy more with a little... editing! I added a few drops of petitgrain, lavender, and grapefruit and hoped for the best. I actually could appreciate that coconut milk scent so much more when it was the base of a more complex arrangement of notes. So if you are like me, and you are less than excited about coconut this month, try adding a few drops of your fave oil!

All Good Coconut Lip Balm - Retail Value $3.50
I cannot escape the coconut. I passed this lip balm on to a friend who is more enthusiastic about the scent than I am.
Verdict: While this month was certainly not my favorite scent, I did enjoy experimenting with my oils to enhance that coconut aroma. We always keep candles burning in my house, so it will absolutely be used. The coordinating lip balm was a great curation choice! For $20 we received $21.50 worth of value.
