Pet Treater Cat Pack July 2019 Review
I sometimes find the dog version of Pet Treater a little bit random but the cat version (maybe because it is smaller) is often a little more focused:
There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of inserts including a humorous sticker. Sometimes there is also product literature.
Kerchief
If you’ve been reading the reviews of the dog version of Pet Treater, you’ll know that for the past few months, they’ve been sending “kerchiefs” where it’s just a triangle of fabric cut out of a bolt of cloth, with unfinished edges. Now they’ve done that with the cat version. I am totally cool with funny hats, costumes, etc. for my cats, but I kind of want ones that are more professionally made as opposed to someone cutting fabric with pinking shears. This is going to fray if washed and isn’t really made to last.
Windup Mouse
This did not have any kind of brand name on it at all (it did have a California Proposition 65 warning). This has a dial on the side you can wind and then the mouse will move along the floor. Both Monkey and Angus chased this around the dining room, and Sneaky kept biting its tail, so it definitely provided some entertainment value.
Mr. Meowgi’s Salmon Crunchers Cat Treats
These were custom made for Pet Treater so they’re not available online. They’re crunchy treats in the shape of little fish. Madison licked one but ultimately didn’t eat it (but Sneaky was not too proud to eat the discarded treat as well as several others). These are made by a company that produces white label pet treats for others, so I think they are OK to feed to my kitties. They come in a resealable bag for freshness.
Multipet Tickle Your Fancy Wand
Multipet has apparently made multiple versions of products with this name; none of the ones I came across in my search looked like this, so I didn’t provide a link. I have received this from Pet Treater before, but it’s been awhile. Sadly, about 15 seconds after Sneaky started playing with this, it came apart into three general pieces. Sneaky immediately started trying to eat the Mylar ribbons so I had to scramble to get it away from her.

Angus was ultimately a little afraid of the wand, but he liked the windup mouse.

Madison licked this and seemed enthusiastic about it, but he ultimately dropped it out of his mouth and didn’t eat it.

Monkey models the kerchief. I don’t know why his tongue was out in the second picture. Probably he was trying to eat the feathers from the wand.
Sneaky liked the treats. I always feel like pictures of her are like the last thing you would find in the camera of someone who had been mauled to death, though. Sometimes when she is done with treats, she comes and bites me just for the heck of it.
Verdict: I was unable to calculate a total value for the July 2019 Pet Treater Cat Pack since I had trouble finding any of the items online. There were four items, though, which makes the average price per item about $3.75. I do hope the cut-from-the-bolt fabric kerchief trend does not continue, but based on what is happening with Pet Treater for dogs, I’m afraid it might. I’m sorry the wand fell apart although I’m happy that the wind-up mouse was as popular as it was, since my cats are usually not interested in such things.
