Moms + Babes Summer 2019 child vitamins

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 child vitamins back

ChildLife Multivitamin and Mineral Natural Orange Mango Flavor, 8 fl oz - Retail Value $16.99

I'm really interested in this children's multivitamin, and I'm actually really excited to get something like this in a box. My kids love their gummy vitamins, but they liked this too. My kids tend to like medicine/take medicine well, but some reviews say you can mix this with a small bit of juice or milk or something to help pickier kids take it. It has a lot of good things in it without weird extra chemicals in the ingredients list, has a mango-orange flavor, and I'm happy with how my kids responded to it.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 shovel

PJ Masks Sand Shovel - Retail Value $9

Okay, I could only find this for sale for $9 but honestly I think it's probably worth a little less than that. Regardless, it's a basic plastic sand shovel. It feels sturdy - my 3 year old will be able to do some major digging at the beach with this. My boys like PJ Masks, so they were excited about this.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 Banza Penne

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 Banza Penne back

Banza Penne Chickpea Pasta, 8 oz - Retail Value $2.99

I have tried Banza pasta before and really like it! It has a similar consistency to whole wheat pasta, with a little more bite. The flavor is good, and I love that it turns a bowl of pasta into a bowl of vegetables (or rather, legumes). I've noticed it doesn't quite reheat as well as normal pasta, but I like using Banza for pasta salad to avoid that. My favorite part is the protein content: 14 g per 2 oz serving! It's also vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and has a low glycemic index.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 Smoothie

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 smoothie back

Sprout Organic Toddler Smoothie Pouch Blueberry Banana with Coconut Milk, 4 oz - Estimated Value $2.47 (Buy a 6 pack for $14.79)

I'm always happy to get toddler pouches in boxes because they are such an easy win for my almost 2-year-old. They're always great to toss in a bag for the park or to grab at random snack times instead of chowing down on something less nutrient-dense and more processed.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 beach ball

Disney Pixar Cars 13.5" Inflatable Beach Ball - Retail Value $5.95

This is a Cars-themed beach ball. Pretty simple, but man, can my kids get tons of playtime and entertainment out of something like a beach ball, whether we're at the beach or not!

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 dry shampoo

Dove Care Between Washes Invisible Dry Shampoo, 5 oz - Retail Value $4.88

Yay, a full-size bottle of dry shampoo! I don't think I've tried Dove's dry shampoo before but I'm a fan now. My hair is blonde and fine, and stick straight too. This dry shampoo feels light enough not to weigh my hair down, and it does the job to absorb oil to extend my style. The smell is pretty nice, too. Another thing is that this adds texture, which really helps my next-day hair with volume and grip.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 baby sunscreen

Aveeno Baby Continuous Protection Zinc Oxide Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, 3 oz - Retail Value $12.39

Sunscreen is important every day, and I'm especially particular about my kids being protected. This sunscreen has a great rating on the EWG website, which makes me really happy to know that the ingredients are very safe. Mineral sunscreens protect by sitting on top of your skin and physically blocking the UV rays instead of chemical sunscreens, which absorb into your skin. Because of this, it can leave a bit of a white cast, but it wasn't too bad. Especially for my kids, I care more about them being protected than the aesthetics of a sunscreen.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 face wash

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 face wash back

Hello Body Coco Fresh Face Foam, 3.4 fl oz - Retail Value $29.99

This cleanser is so gentle and feels great to use. I have dry skin and I've enjoyed using something that doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped. It smells like coconut, too.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 mama coozie

"Mama" Coozie

This is a simple little extra item in the box. I just don't really drink anything out of cans. I'm not a fan of soda or beer or anything, so this will get passed along to a mom friend that will use it more than me.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 slice mask sheet

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 slice mask sheet 2

Kocostar Lemon Slice Mask Sheet - Retail Value $5

This is an adorable mask. The mask "sheets" are actually just individual round patches that look like lemon slices! It comes with 2 sheets of 6 patches and contains a high amount of lemon extract which is high in vitamin C. This mask moisturizes, brightens, and helps clear up your skin, too. You just peel off the patches and put them wherever you want.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 peppa pig cup

Peppa Pig 16 oz Straw Cup - Retail Value $5.99

Even though my son has no idea who Peppa Pig is, he thought this cup was cool and instantly asked for me to fill it up for him, haha. It's not a fancy cup but it's handy to have an extra for my 3 year old.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 mood matcher lipstick

Fran Wilson Mood Matcher Lipstick, Light Blue - Retail Value $5

Mood matching lipstick? I had a '90s flashback! I think this is pretty cool, though. It's very hydrating and the color does change once applied to your skin. Their website shows that they offer a lot of different colors that turn different shades. They may look crazy in the tubes but all turn a pretty traditional color for lipstick. This light blue turns to a cool, bright pink on me. It's described as long-lasting, but I think most of that comes from a stain effect. The swatch on my hand stayed for much longer than the hydration did of the actual formula.

Here's the lipstick pretty much right after I swatched it.

And here is the swatch about 10 minutes after swatching it and wiping away.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 balm stick

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 balm stick open

Erbaviva Lip & Cheek Balm, 0.6 oz - Retail Value $13

This multi-use balm is made of shea butter with chamomile and lavender oils to hydrate, calm, and soothe skin, as well as calendula and rosemary extracts for antioxidant and healing properties. This is great for children but also for moms. I've used balms like this on chapped lips, dry winter hands, burns, etc. Plus, the packaging and design of this product make it easy to toss in your bag to keep on hand.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 women's probiotics

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 women's probiotics open

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 women's probiotics info

Lifeway Women's Radiant Health Probiotics Dietary Supplement - Retail Value $33 (found here for $18.51)

I think probiotics are really beneficial and helpful, at least in my experience, with gut health and overall digestion improvement. I don't know if it's because these are marketed specifically for women, or if they are truly made differently in order to help with elastin and skin resiliency, but the label only really talks about benefits related to beauty and anti-aging. I haven't switched to these yet because I'm finishing up my current bottle that I know has been helping me feel better, especially through this pregnancy. Regardless, I'm happy to have a backup on hand for when I need more.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 mask

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 mask open

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 mask info

bioClarity Clarifying Masque, 1.7 fl oz - Retail Value $24.95

This is my first time trying anything from this brand. This masque is made with "complexion-perfecting superfoods, anti-microbial silver, witch hazel, oat kernel, and more. It's meant to purify pores, refine and even tone and texture, clear blemishes, battle redness, and revive radiance. I would say that I saw most of that in my experience, though I've only used it once. I'm typically one for quicker, more intense masks so it was a change of pace to use this one for 20-30 minutes, but it was nice to apply and watch the Bachelorette and relax for a bit.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 tootpaste

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 toothpaste open

Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Anticavity Flouride Toothpaste, 4 oz - Retail Value $8.99

My teeth can be a little sensitive so I don't usually try whitening toothpastes, but after one or two uses of this I haven't had any issues yet. I think I may have noticed some whitening after the first use as advertised? Or maybe I was just thinking I did because it's supposed to do that? Either way, it cleans and works for me.

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 bracelet

Moms + Babes Summer 2019 bracelet on

Aid Through Trade Roll-On Bracelet - Retail Value $15 (similar one found here)

Bracelets are something that I have never really worn, but this bracelet is so pretty and easy to wear and goes with everything. It's a one-size bracelet, and there's no stretch, but it rolls on over your hand easily enough and stays on well. I've worn this just about every day since opening my Moms + Babes box.

Verdict: My second Moms + Babes box was, again, a really fun box to unpack! They promise every box will have a value of $150+, and this box has a total value of approximately $195.59 from what I could find. I like the mix of kids products and mom products. I also liked the health and beauty products I received this quarter. I will say, though, that I wish the children's products were a little higher quality. This is my second box and I feel like the kids' toys are handy, but not really anything I'm impressed with - character cups and sand shovels and beach balls this time, and last time it was Disney coloring books and one of those paint-your-own suncatchers. I think they've delivered well on quality items to help moms relax and treat themselves. But their website claims that the "babes" portion of this box delivers "some of our favorite items perfect for learning, playing, growing, and exploring," and I don't know if I feel like I've seen that yet. I'd love to receive some nice practical, problem-solving, skill-developing products for my toddlers.

To Wrap Up

Can you still get this box if you order today? You'll receive their Summer box, but the Spring box is still available for a one-time purchase right here.

This all feels a bit random, but I enjoyed reading a review of a new box. 🙂
