I have a few of these pieces if anyone is considering them and wants my thoughts…
First, I adore the Architect Cuff. It is such a statement piece. It looks like something you would buy at the MOMA store in NYC (it reminds me of items they sold during the Mondrian exhibit).
Second, I have 2 of each color of the Salome bracelet. I wear them together in sets of two (both silver or both gold together). They are super delicate and fabulous for the summer, when you might not want to wear really heavy jewelry. People tend to notice them whenever I wear them, which is interesting considering how delicate and simple they are. My only fear is that the little mother of pearl extensions may break off at some point, but so far that hasn’t happened so maybe that fear is unwarranted.
Third, the Echo Ring. I’m not a fan at all. I believe the stone might be different on each ring and some people might get lucky and get a good one but mine looks like a piece of cheap plastic. No dimension, no inclusions, no interest. The ring looks like something you might see in a 25 cent gum ball machine outside of the grocery store (do they still have those??? I think I’m dating myself!). The ring is very very lightweight and is adjustable, which makes sense for sub boxes, but I think it adds to the cheap feel of this particular ring.
Fourth, the Opera Earrings. These are pretty cool. The design is unique and the earrings have nice movement. I would never pay $50 for them, but they are a nice addition to my earring collection.
Fifth, Byzance Shield Bracelet. I have this in gold (2 actually because when I subscribed they offered a free item, which unfortunately was the same item that they had just sent me…I never could get the Emma &Chloe people to understand that I didn’t expect my free item to be a duplicate of the monthly item I had just received, but I digress!). Anyway, this cuff ok. Definitely not my favorite but I don’t have anything else like it so I do wear it occasionally. I would never call it a $170 item though. Again, the lapis stones aren’t particularly interesting. They look more like solid colored blue plastic. But they are so small, the simplicity of the stone doesn’t really impact the piece as negatively as it does with the Echo Ring. The cuff is pretty thin, thus pretty flexible so if you have a less common wrist size (in either direction) this piece might still work for you.
Last, the Dormeuses Earrings. These are pretty. They are exactly as they appear online. They are nice and light, they have nice movement, and have a simple but still noticeable design. If you are drawn to the look online you will likely be satisfied with these.
That’s it. Hopefully that will help someone considering a purchase 🙂
