An information sheet was included, along with a coupon code for a Redken conditioning treatment.

Abba Complete All-in-One Spray, 1.7 fl oz - Estimated Value $4.46 (Buy a full-size 8 oz for $21.99)

I have never tried anything by this brand before, but right off the bat I liked the pretty grey packaging and its botanical illustration. It has a soapy, yet natural smell, and is a heavier leave-in spray. I used it on damp hair then let my strands air dry. I didn't notice a huge difference, but this is pretty standard for leave-in sprays in my thick, coarse hair. If you have normal to fine hair, this might be a better choice!

Aquage Finishing Spray, 2 oz — Travel Size! Retail Value $9.00

I like this spray. It is super lightweight but gives some minor control in the finish. It smells very clean and helped with my wild humidity-caused flyaways without making my hair look too "done" or "finished."

BioSilk Silk Therapy Coconut Oil Leave-In Treatment, 0.5 fl oz - Estimated Value $2.61 (Buy a full-size 5.64 oz for $29.49)

I really, really wanted to like this product. And I guess I kind of do. The formula itself works great! You can use it on your hair for smoothness and gloss, or use it on your skin for moisture. My issue is 100% with the strong coconut scent, which is one of my pet peeves. If you are someone who likes coconut smells though, give this a try. You might just love it!

Chi Tea Tree Oil Serum, 0.5 fl oz - Estimated Value $5.00 (Buy a full-size 2 oz for $19.99)

Ahh, this scent is much more my style. I love tea tree oil, and its over-the-top herbal scent. This stuff worked beautifully on my dry hair. I warmed a few drops between my palms and then finger combed it into the ends. The result was a little shine, and a lot less frizz.

It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product,  2 fl oz - Travel Size! Retail Value $12.49

FYI: The travel size for sale has a slightly different bottle shape, but the amount of product inside is the same.

I used to use this product a lot when I was going through a straightener phase. I was using heat tools all the time, and this leave-in made a huge difference in the health of my hair at that time. The smell is so nostalgic! Reminds me of college! I still like this product now, though I use it on my damp ends and then air dry these days. It gives my strands just a little more luster and manageability, especially in the humidity.

Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment, 1 oz -Estimated Value $5.38 (Buy a full-size 8 oz for $43.00)

While I don't really love the shampoo from this brand, I adore their conditioners and I was really pumped to try this mask! It smells so good! I took it into the shower and applied after shampooing. Since it was a 5-minute mask, I had just enough time to shave my legs while I wanted for the mask to do its magic. My hair felt so sleek and slippy as I washed it out. I was pleased that while my hair was significantly softer after it air dried, it still had its texture and thickness that I love.

Sexy Hair Spray & Stay Hairspray, 1.5 oz - Travel Size! Retail Value $6.99

Anything labeled "intense hold" is not for me! I plan on passing this sample along to my mom, who has used this formula for years! She has really cute short hair and likes a lot of hold since she has to pull face masks on and off all day at her job. I can attest to the fact that her hair indeed does look exactly the same before work and after!

Wella Oil Reflections Luminous Shampoo, 1.7 fl oz - Estimated Value $4.42 (Buy a full-size 8.45 oz for $21.99, on sale for $16.49)

I like Wella, but I don't especially like moisturizing shampoos. I like to keep my roots as dry and oil-free as possible since I only shampoo about every three days. This clear formula sure smells good, and though it may not be my cup of tea, it did add a ton of shine to my hair.

Wella Oil Reflections Luminous Conditioner, 1 fl oz - Estimated Value $3.25 (Buy a full-size 6.76 oz for $22.00)

I liked this conditioner much more than the coordinating shampoo. This is pretty standard for me, as I am much pickier about shampoos. This is slightly lighter weight than some of my other preferred conditioners, but that was fine with me. I only condition my ends and I enjoyed this formulas scent and the gloss it gave the tips of my strands.

Verdict: This box has an overall estimated value of $53.60. While this is quite a bit short of the $80 value on the front of the box, it is still a great value for a $15 box, especially if you love hair products. It was also pretty well rounded, and contained products for every step of your hair care process. My faves would easily be the It's a 10 leave-in, the Living Proof mask, and the Chi tea tree oil. If you are someone looking for your next favorite hair product(s) or even just someone who travels a lot and loves quality hair care in a TSA-friendly size, this is a great kit.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box today? Yep! It is still in stock!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $15.00 and I calculated a value of $53.60. That means you are paying approximately the following for each item:

  • Abba Spray $1.25
  • Aquage Spray $2.52
  • Biosilk Leave-In $0.71
  • CHI Tea Tree Oil $1.40
  • It's A 10 Leave-In $3.50
  • Living Proof Mask $1.51
  • Sexy Hair Spray $1.96
  • Wella Shampoo $1.24
  • Wella Conditioner $0.91

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I would be far more tempted to buy the beauty brands hair care samplers if they made one especially for textured hair. The boxes now have far too many sprays and dry shampoos which brings the value down for me.

I’m kinda disappointed because I was picturing face masks like sheet masks and wash off masks not like those blue mask things you loop around your ears and I was like how do I get THAT job

I’m going to guess a Medical Technologist. She work in a lab?
