Loose eyeshadows can be daunting, but I find them to be the most pigmented and fun to play with. 99% of the time, loose shadows stay true to what you see in the packaging, and these brilliant yellows are no exception! The pigmentation is outstanding (especially when using a wet brush), and I’ve come to really appreciate the sifter in this packaging as well; I hate when I open up a loose pigment and product flies everywhere, so I was relieved these came with a sticker over the sifter, too. I couldn’t find these exact colors on the Cailyn Cosmetics website, so I am not sure if they are retired colors or maybe a limited edition release from the past.

Be a Bombshell Lip Stain in Bash - Retail Value $8 (Found here for $2)

Summertime means low-maintenance beauty picks for me, so a lip stain is perfect to apply in the morning, with hopes of the color lasting until lunchtime. This formula glided on easily, layered nicely for an even application, and its watery texture dried almost instantly after application. I love this punchy orange hue! It stayed put for a few hours and faded nicely into a popsicle stained look. I topped it off with a sheer gloss for a nice wet look, and the color really made my lips pop.

These buttery soft highlights give off an opaque frosty sheen. They are easily buildable, and the colors range from a bright white to a bronzy shimmer. I like the range of colors, although I do prefer a wet-looking highlight to a frost, due to frosty shades really exaggerating any texture on the skin. I wasn’t wowed with the application of these, but all things considered, the pigmentation and texture are there (just not my preference!).

Sweet Sparkle May 2019 - Kokie Eyeshadow Primer 1 Sweet Sparkle May 2019 - Kokie Eyeshadow Primer 2

Kokie Eyeshadow Primer - Retail Value $7

This primer feels a lot like the cult product, Urban Decay Primer Potion. It smooths on so easily and dries completely, providing a perfect base for eyeshadow application! Once worked into the skin, this product has no pigment, which I appreciate in a primer (one less product to blend). I wore my eyeshadow look for 6+ hours and this product stood up to my go-to, Mac Paint Pot’s, performance. I’ve grown increasingly fond of Kokie Cosmetics, thanks to Sweet Sparkle, and this product is even listed as a bonus product! Thanks, Sweet Sparkle!

Sweet Sparkle May 2019 - Me 1 Sweet Sparkle May 2019 - Me 2

Here is the look I came up with using all of the products from this month’s box. This tropical, bright look makes me so happy! This wet look is perfect for me for the summer, and I am sure these products will get a lot of wear.

Sweet Sparkle May 2019 - Me 3

I took this photo a few hours after I applied the stain. It faded a bit, but the color is perfect! The eyeshadow is just as vibrant as when I applied it. 🙂

Verdict: Sweet Sparkle sent a very colorful box this month! The color products were a great change of pace, and I am really enjoying the Kokie Eye Primer as well. This month’s retail value came to about $37.99, including retail and sale values (excluding the eye primer, which was listed as a bonus item); even though I really enjoyed a few items, the whole value of the box is a little underwhelming.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Your first box will be the current month’s box. So if you sign up in the month of June, you will get the June box, etc.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

I love a lip stain! I’m one of those people that horde lip balm, I have a LOT! I’m never without one. Lip stain is so easy. I fill out my entire lips with the stain, let it set, do it again, then use lip balm all day. I like stainiac by the balm.

This sub always looks kinda junky to me. With BoxyCharm at $21, and IpsyGlamPlus at $25, not sure how they survive.

Boxycharm is the best.

I’ve always been wary of lip stains. I think I will try one now, thanks to your review. I really like this look on you!

Bite Beauty just came out with a stain this summer that I am dying to try!

Pass! Better beauty boxes for better value. I like boxycharm for makeup and Test Tube or Glossybox for skincare.

These boxes seem high priced for the brands and quality of products. It’s a bit like Slay Glam and how Lola beauty box used to be. I think Ipsy Plus or BoxyCharm is a much better box for the amount of money. Great review tho

Love the eyeshadow color , but yes those highlights do accentuate your skin texture too much would not like that on me either :/
