Rocksbox is a designer jewelry styling and renting service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy the pieces they love most at a discounted price. Right now, you can even get your first month of Rocksbox membership for free! (Read on to learn how, or check out our list of other free subscription boxes here!)
Upon subscribing, you'll take a "style survey," so Rocksbox can suggest jewelry pieces that fit your style. You can also browse their catalog and add pieces to your wish list. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your wishlist.
Try on the items in the box, and wear them as long as you'd like. From there, you have two choices. If you love any of the pieces enough to want to keep them, you can put your monthly "Shine Credit" towards your purchase.
Or, if you're ready for another style, return your box using the free shipping label and reusable envelope you got with your shipment. Shortly after, you'll get a brand new box of jewelry to enjoy!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Rocksbox Rental Jewelry June 2019 Review
Here's the info booklet that came with the jewelry set. It includes a product list with retail and member-specific pricing,
They also included a handy jewelry care card.
A free return shipping label is also at the bottom of the box.
FYI: The outer envelope that Rocksbox ships inside doubles as a return shipping envelope! Be careful as you cut it open—there's a second adhesive strip that can be used to reseal the envelope for its trip back.
Each jewelry item comes tucked inside its own protective pouch that can also be used as a polishing cloth.
Sophie Harper Star Disco Ear Climbers in Gold - Listed Value $60.00, Member Price $51.00
I had to add these to my wishlist because they were so unique and like nothing I have in my jewelry collection. I really like climbers, but I have small ears, so sometimes they tend to move or droop throughout the day. These are smartly designed because you can squeeze them, and the little back bar sits tightly against your ear. I love anything celestial, and these were delicate enough to wear daily if I wanted, but also sparkly enough to reserve for a special occasion.
Gorjana Maya Huggies in Seaglass and Gold - Listed Value $50.00, Member Price $48.00
I really want to start wearing more hoops, but my ears are small, and set close against my head, so these small ones didn't quite work for me. I had a hard time deciding what side should be forward since the seaglass stones were really only prominent on one side of these earrings. I really did love the smaller size and brushed gold finish on these hoops, though the search for the perfect pair continues.
Dusk Lake Pendant Necklace in Silver - Listed Value $70.00, Member Price $59.00
If this necklace was set in real gold, I have a feeling it would be REALLY expensive. Faceted semi-precious stones (I think I identified rose quartz and aventurine, along with lab created opal) are beautifully set in a cluster with CZs and a few other stones in such a lovely array of colors. This is a winner for a crystal/mineral addict like myself, and its demure size works well with any look while still being beautifully noticeable.
The Verdict: Rocksbox sent me three pieces all from my wishlist this month! The standout was by far that gorgeous necklace, with all its shine and colors. I loved it! I also was really into the star climbers. They felt so unique and different from anything else I own or wear. The hoops were a little bit of a miss, but that is what makes a rental service like this fun: I can try new things without the commitment of buying them. And when I get bored of something or crave something new, I send it back to get more. Winning!
To Wrap Up:

Value Breakdown: Rocksbox membership costs $21.00 per month. At retail, the three pieces would cost me $158.00. With my Rocksbox discounts and the member pricing (including the buy-all-three-items discount, my $15 worth of Forever Credit that I have on my account, and the $21.00 of Shine Credit (the membership fee for the month, which goes towards your purchases), that price drops to $112.00.
