Luxe Catch Posh Box “Resort Chic” May 2019 Review

May's theme is “Resort Chic” and includes vacation-ready styles and outfits for summer exploring. Orders for this box were April 1-31 (shipped in May). I received this image in the theme spoiler email. Luxe Catch asks for your preference and you also have the option to let them know of any special requests. This is a great opportunity to work with the stylists to find something that is right for you.

You can post a picture of your catch on social media (and tag Luxe Catch) for a chance to win a free box!

With the Posh Box, I receive a print-out with "The Luxe Find" which gives info on the brands included and offers tips for styling my new pieces. There is also an invoice with the MSRP of the items and a breakdown of the savings.

Value and savings breakdown for my Posh Catch! This month, I received 3 pieces from The Jetset Diaries and 1 from Eberjey.

Maui Midi Dress by The Jetset Diaries, Size M - Original MSRP $180

Wow, this is quite the bright little number! I love the form-fitting, retro bodice and neckline. The dress has spaghetti straps built in but here I just tucked them away. Even without using them, the top stayed in place and I didn't have to wear a bra (the bust area is fully lined). The waist is accented with a removable belt and draws the eye to the narrowest area before the dress flares out into a flowy, asymmetrical, midi cut. The best part is that it's a breeze to put on because of the snap details down the front. The rayon/poly blend fabric does wrinkle easily, but a quick steam gets them out fast.

Alynna Sleeveless Mini Dress by The Jetset Diaries, Size M - Original MSRP $200

Helloo, yellow! Another super bright dress is included in my box this month. This time, it's a lace-overlay, mini dress in an orangy-yellow shade. TBH, yellow isn't a color I wear often since I'm at the far end of the fair skin spectrum, but I still like the idea of it. 🙂 I love the subtle sexiness of the sheer panel down the front and keyhole neckline in the back; it's balanced perfectly with the high neckline, sleeveless (not strappy) cut and sweet flounce at the bottom hem. The outside layer of lace and crepe is polyester and the interior (fully-lined) is rayon. There is virtually no stretch to this dress which makes me wish I could size up one size.

White Stripe Romper by The Jetset Diaries, Size L - Original MSRP $170

I think I've finally found a romper that I like on me! This soft, airy romper is made of an ivory rayon with a gauzy texture on the outer layer and a solid lining throughout the bodice. I love the look of long sleeves paired with shorts to really highlight the legs. The wrap front gives me control over how much is showing up top and the hook and eye clasp helps keep things closed. The details like the buttoned cuffs, knotted waist, and pretty texture mean this is a simple, easy outfit to pack for vacation!

Spearhead Gianna Cover Up by Eberjey, Size M - Original MSRP $264

Gone are the days of wearing a T-shirt and shorts as a cover-up. This lacy layer is perfect for throwing on over my suits for a trip to the beach or pool. I actually took it on my recent vacay to Mexico and basically lived in it during the day. The info sheet says it's an off-the-shoulder style but since that's not my best cut, I just pulled it above my shoulders and it worked out great. The lace is sheer and sexy but gives enough coverage for me to feel fine walking around a beach resort.

The Verdict: The "Resort Chic" theme is perfect for summertime and vacation season. I love the mix of bright colors and airy whites, plus the textures are all beautiful! I took the coverup and romper with me on my Mexico vacation and they were PERFECT! The dresses are going to be great for summer weddings and evenings out.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The “Resort Chic” box sign up period has passed but you can check out the current theme on their Insta feed. If you sign up June 1-30, you'll receive the "Beach Bum" July box as your first catch. From Luxe Catch:

If you placed a new order between 1-31 of the month, it ships within the first two weeks of the following month. Example: If you order July 5th, expect your order to ship in the first two weeks of August. LUXE CATCH boxes renew every 15th of the month for existing orders.

Wow, all these pieces look soo good on you! I get the bargain option and my May box had a great Eberjey caftan cover up in a pretty navy blue that pretty much works as a summer dress you can hide your swimsuit under until you get to the beach. I love the easy and functional style!
