Enchanted Crystal of the Month: Brandberg Quartz

note from team

First, you'll see a greeting from Adam of Enchanted Crystal. I love these personal notes as they explain behind the scenes details. Enjoy your travels, Adam!

info card

Our specimen this month is Brandberg Quartz.

Let's unwrap!

Brandberg Quartz

Good to know: This crystal is around 1.75 inches long and about the same height!

I feel like bigger points get most of the space on my desk. It wasn't until I opened this little cluster that I realized a smaller specimen can speak just as loudly. This beautiful little crystal has so much sparkle and fire. Coming to us from Namibia, this quartz is named after the Brandberg Massif from which it came. Brandberg means "burning mountain" in Afrikaans, a tribute to the red color the mountain is bathed in during sunsets. The local Herero people call it "Mountain of the Gods." This little treasure is now one of my favorites.

Enchanted Crystal always sends bonus crystals or minerals in a small bag as well.

Good to know: These are generally no more than an inch long.

Black Onyx

Much like black tourmaline, black onyx is considered a protection stone. It is also closely associated with the Leo zodiac sign, making it extra special for this lion.

Red Jasper

Red Jasper has one of those shades of red that is unforgettable and so earthy. Another protection stone, it pairs really well with the black onyx!

Madagascar Quartz

One can never have enough quartz. One of the most beloved stones, it is said to magnify the strength of what surrounds it. It is also one of the most varied minerals out there and is endlessly fascinating in all its different forms and colors.

Verdict: Enchanted Crystal will always be one subscription I literally can't wait to rip open when it arrives! The mix of educational information and shiny things is pretty irresistible. If you are a veteran collector or just beginning your collection, this subscription is so worth your time! Adam and his team are so passionate about the pieces they send, and you will be sure to end up with some new favorites.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I collect crystals myself & get Goddess Provisions each month.

But, I do sit & wonder if … In actual reality are they just “rocks”? All the money I toss away on rocks.

Kinda like jewelry. Lol

Megan, THANK YOU so much for including the sizes of the pieces! It makes a huge difference in evaluating the value!

I love crystals and get the larger EC box. I’ve had it for about 4 months.

The first box was truly awesome!! I was bowled over by the size, quantity, and quality of what I received. Now, 4 Mo later, I’m thinking I’ll give it one more month before I probably cancel. Seriously, I cannot handle getting one more piece of amethyst or rose quartz from them! Yes, they are beautiful, but just about anyone who collects crystals is bound to have a ton of them, unless they are truly unique specimens, which these have not been. In this last box, the most exciting piece for me was the onyx freebie! (Mine was quite nice)

They claim to be an eco friendly sub, and I love that they use recyclable/compostable packing for most of the box; however, each item is wrapped in black plastic bubble wrap sealed with plastic tape!

Anyone know of or able to recommend another crystal-only sub box?
