The Bookish Box is a book-inspired subscription box from Appraising Pages, which is now called The Bookish Shop. They recently offered a limited edition, preorder-only box themed around A Court of Thorns and Roses, the hit trilogy by Sarah J. Maas.

FYI - this box is now sold out.

The Bookish ACOTR Box March 2019 - Information Card Top

Here is the info sheet for the box, along with instructions on properly folding the dust jackets.

Dust Jacket Set by Diana Dworak

This is a set of three custom art dust jackets designed for the covers of the three books in the ACOTR trilogy. I have never seen anything quite like this in a subscription box, so I am excited to fold them over my covers and have some custom artwork protecting my books. Above is the artwork for A Court of Thorns and Roses.

The Bookish ACOTR Box March 2019 - Pin Top

Amren Enamel Pin by Alchemy & Ink – Estimated Value $12.99 (based on other pins found here)

I have been saving all of my pins for a corkboard project, and this one will tie in nicely. It features the quote “The monster trapped in a beautiful body,” which is a quote from A Court of Mist and Fury, the second book in the series. Amren (the subject of the quote), is a very unique character in the series, and I think this pin does her justice.

The Bookish ACOTR Box March 2019 - Book Sleeve Top

Book Sleeve by KDP Letters

This book sleeve can keep one of the ACOTAR books safe (especially helpful if you only own the paperback versions, like me). The design on the front is a unique design lettered by KDP Letters, and this is one of the more powerful quotes from the series.

Night Court Necklace

This necklace is simple and features the mountains of the Night Court, which is a prominent location in the ACOTAR series. I’m not sure what materials this is made with, but it didn’t turn my neck green. My box was actually missing the necklace, but The Bookish Box customer service was quick to send me a replacement.

Here it is on.

The Bookish ACOTR Box March 2019 - Shirt Top

“Don’t Let The Hard Days Win” Fitted T-shirt – Estimated Value $24 (based on other shirts found here)

This fitted navy t-shirt features another quote from A Court of Mist and Fury, and I am partial to this quote because it is motivational in real life and not just in the fantasy world that Sarah J. Maas created. This shirt is made of pre-shrunk cotton, and it is soft and comfortable.

The Bookish ACOTR Box March 2019 - Candle Front The Bookish ACOTR Box March 2019 - Candle Opened Top

Nesta and Cassian Candle by Spidey Scents – Estimated Value $8 (based on other candles found here)

I STAN Nesta and Cassian, so this candle makes me happy. The scent is a blend of cherry, almond, and pine, and it is a refreshing scent. The throw from this 100% soy candle isn’t too strong, but this is perfect for a smaller room or bathroom to lightly scent the air.

The Verdict: A Court of Thorns and Roses is one of my all-time favorite book series, so everything in this box hit me right in the feels. I especially like that multiple quotes from A Court of Mist and Fury were included because that is my favorite book in the trilogy. I think The Bookish Box did a good job curating limited edition items that felt special, and I think fans of Sarah J. Maas would really like this box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? No, this box is now sold out.

Value Breakdown: This box cost $49.19 ($40 + $9.19 shipping to LA), which means you’re paying $7.03 per item.

This is such a great box! Love the way the items tie in with the books. Adore the quote on the shirt as well. Great review!

So crazy and awesome to see a creator from Halifax (KDP letters) in a box like this. I did a workshop with her a few months ago and she is a rockstar!

I love how Bookish always has something useful even if you don’t know anything about the book.
