Spring 2019 RosePost Box Review

This box always feels so luxurious to open! I knew from spoilers most of what was going to be in here, but I still enjoyed the unboxing process quite a bit:

There was a full-color information card with more details about the products and brands included in the box. I thought it was quite informative. It’s actually pretty handy, too, in that it has web addresses for easy reorders (and accurate pricing information).

There was also an insert that you could hang like a small print or probably also send as a postcard.

Goddess Clay Exfoliant by Essential Rose Life – Retail Value $32

This has both white and pink (rose) kaolinite as well as oat flour and rosehip seed powder (rosehips are a huge source of vitamin C, for what it’s worth). It’s essentially a clay mask (you can exfoliate as much as you want when you apply or as you rinse it off) and it did a great job of absorbing oil and preparing my face for makeup. I strongly suggest one of those cheap plastic mixing bowl/measuring spoon sets so that you don’t add too much liquid. I prefer more powder than liquid but a tablespoon is probably too much powder, as I learned this morning. Start with less to increase the number of uses you get out of this jar!

Rosa Pretiosa Natural Face Cream by Natural Cosmetic – Retail Value $39

We received an eye cream from this brand in the past that was one of my favorite subscription box beauty items of all time. This is from a small European brand but you can buy more from the RosePostBox shop. It’s pretty thick. I used it before makeup and primer and my makeup still looks good some 8 hours later (maybe could’ve even skipped the primer). This is free of silicones and petroleum derivatives, which I find really helpful for skincare (at least for my skin type). This also smells very nice. Anyway, so far this has been great.

Organic Rose Cleansing Milk by Badger Balm – Retail Value $19.99

This brand pops up in this subscription from time to time but I’m usually quite happy with the products. This one is useful to me as it is quite gentle (sometimes my skin gets fussy if I try a lot of different products). It is not quite strong enough to remove all my makeup (which products I have chosen to be long-wearing on oily skin) and I still require a double cleanse for that; however, this is excellent as a first-thing-in-the-morning skincare step so that is how I will be using it. Most ingredients are organic, many are fair trade, and this is a cruelty-free product as well.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $91 for the Spring 2019 RosePost Box. This is always a fun unboxing experience for me, from the packaging and presentation on down to actually trying the products. Although I am pretty sure all these brands have appeared in RosePostBox before, the items were new to me and they are not items that I tend to encounter in other subscription boxes. It was also great to receive three full-sized items (that are easy to buy again if I should want to). These made for a spa-like routine before work today and I look forward to many more mornings just like it!

To Wrap Up:

Rose post is one of my favorite subscriptions! Every single product they’ve sent has been a hit for me. I’ve even reached out to their customer service, to purchase more of the Rosa Pretiosa eye cream you mentioned and just finished my third one. Their customer service is top notch, and the products always feel so luxurious! If you’re thinking about trying this, you won’t be disappointed!

I loved every single item I got!

I love badger bug spray and sunscreen (I use the unscented mineral sunscreen on body and even face and have never had any issues) and may try to swap for it. Or just buy it outright! I didn’t know they did skincare, that’s great!
