Snailbox "Whimsical Pairs V.2" April 2019 Review

Our Snailbox items came wrapped together neatly in a decorative paper band and included this insert highlighting the featured artists. This month it looks like we have two artists and our whimsical pairs include parrots and sea creatures!

Lobster Stickers, set of 4

Birds in Winter Stamps - Total Retail Value $2.20

Packaged neatly in a separate mini envelope, we received a set of fun lobster stickers and 4 Birds in Winter Forever stamps. Both go nicely with our cards!

Crustaceans Greeting Card by Cavallini & Co - Retail Value $3.95

Our first card is part of our sea life pairs and it comes from Cavallini & Co which is based in San Francisco, CA. This artist creates his designs using found images and the result is beautiful with a vintage feel. The cards are a nice weight printed on a lightly textured Italian paper in a cream color with a matching cream envelope. The inside of this card is blank, so this one can be used for any occasion!

Party Hard Greeting Card by Divine Savages - Retail Value $4.28 (3.25 GBP)

Our whimsical pairing for our sea life theme is this fun card from Divine Savages based in South London. While it still has a vintage feel to it and is printed on nice heavy cardstock, the design is much different in style from the first. This octopus, in addition to being beautiful, looks like he sure knows how to party! This card is blank inside and I think it will definitely make a fun card for a friend, although we don't party quite so hard these days thanks to our kiddos! This card comes with a nice brown kraft envelope.

Parrots Greeting Card by Cavallini & Co - Retail Value $3.95

This card is almost identical to our first card from Cavallini & Co, but this time the front features brightly colored parrots. These vintage parrots are so detailed and the card inside is blank so again, you could use this for any occasion.

Birthday Cock-or-Two Greeting Card by Divine Savages - Retail Value $4.28 (3.25 GBP)

I had to look twice at this card to make sure I was getting what they were insinuating! It was definitely a surprise, but really fun and whimsical. I already have a friend in mind who has a birthday coming up! This one is also by Divine Savages and printed on their nice heavy cardstock with a brown kraft envelope to go with it and a blank inside. They really have a lot of great, and very unique, card designs on their site. This one is great because you don't expect it to be as bold as it actually is!

Verdict: This was my first time receiving Snailbox and I was happy with the unique and beautiful cards that they sent. They were definitely quality cards designed by talented artists that made for a fun collection. I also love that they even send the stamps to go along with them! The retail value comes to about $18.66 not including the stickers and while that is under the $20/month + free shipping cost of this box, I think that shipping definitely has some value, as well as the great curation!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive May as your first. They ship on the 15th of each month.

ACTIVE DEAL: Save 20% off your first month!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $20.00 + free shipping, which means that the 4 cards, set of stamps, and set of seals have an average cost of $3.33.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Is it awful that I think my mom would get the biggest laugh out of the last card? Or does it just go to show I have the best, funniest Mama around?!

Awesome review & Ive already placed an order through Divine Savages
