It’s interesting that I’ve been feeling the exact same way and glad to know I’m not alone. Sephora used to be my favorite place to shop and now I purposely go elsewhere.

Luna-
I thought that it looked familiar (I remembered trying the Tom Ford lipstick in store to see if I liked the color) but couldn’t place it.
I didn’t buy it then and I don’t I’ll buy it now (unless it goes on sale).

Ya, this launch was a little sneaky on Sephora’s part. They could have at least listed it at the original $45 with it crossed out and $39 listed as the sale price. I guess I didn’t notice this was the same box at first because I really didn’t pay too much attention the first time it launched since it’s all makeup, and I’m more into their skincare kits. 🙂

Yes, this is over-priced and the sample-sized products have been around the block a few times, but I need these for travel purposes. I didn’t want to, but I went ahead and bit, out of convenience.

I cancelled my Play box a few months ago after a huge disappointment with Sephora customer service. Ive been Rouge for years but now I’m taking my business elsewhere. I think I’ll redeem my points and be done with them!

I’m done with Sephora too. They have zero customer loyalty! With all the competition in the beauty market you would think they would treat their customers better. This is trivial but the last several times I purchased on line they ask which samples you would like included with your purchase. Not even one of my requested samples was included in 3 separate orders. Why ask??

Not only that but I’ve had many orders where they didn’t even bother to throw ANY samples in. Then, as someone else mentioned, the cancelled orders without any apology….

Their CS does leave a lot to be desired. And it’s a huge disappointment how little they seem to care about their “Rouge” customers. I mean, I have NEVER been accused of being high maintenance but I would expect the littlest bit of respect and appreciation for any customers, let alone ones that choose to spend so much in a year….year after year….

AGREED. Aside from getting 5% more off in their annual sales and a few days earlier shopping, Rouge status was a total bust for me.
I used to be a super loyal Sephora customer, but last Dec. I made the conscious decision not to bother w Rouge again this year. (I could have easily stocked up and made it again.)
It didn’t seem to make any difference at all in how I was treated aside from those minimal perks a handful of days a year. There are far too many stores and sites that offer discounts as well as great perks and bonuses for me to waste time dealing with Sephora BS, (e.g., sale orders canceled with no notification until the sale days are over, and nothing done except a “sorry” and a few points to use on minuscule samples when I complain.)

It will probably hang out a bit, so I might? I’ve always wanted to try both the Tom Ford and the Pat McGrath and I’m low on loose powder and have never tried the hourglass. I’m pretty much no-buy except June’s ipsy until October though!

I too have been Rouge for years and I am done with Sephora. They lost me over a $42 item that they refused to exchange because I bought it with one of the $100 gift cards that I exchanged 2500 points for. I still have points but they never have anything that I want. Their Customer Service is horrible.

Did you try calling in to their customer service? I had the same thing happen to me in store, but when I called Sephora customer service they gave me a credit on my account so I could buy something online. I never have luck in – store, I usually just call the 1-800 number. They even put 250 points in my account for my trouble. I am rouge as well.

These products are mostly repeats from other boxes. The last luxe box actually had new and exciting things but sold out in under five minutes apparently. They need to restock that before repacking these same products again into a “new” kit.

Oh never mind. Now I see. This is a regular luxe kit, not a Play luxe kit. I guess I retract my previous comment. Although I’m still bitter about that last Play box situation, as were lots of customers.

Your first comment is still valid to me lol
And this kit is $14 more, this seems overpriced.
Also how is this a full face when literally 50% of the products are lippies?
