May 2019 Loot Remix Review
Each box comes with this ad card which offers a discount to subscribers for any other box.
Rock Paper Scissors Die – Unknown Retail Value
I love dice, playing games with dice and different kind of dice, but when I opened these, I had no idea how to figure them out. Loot Remix doesn’t come with instructions or a manual like Loot Crate boxes do, so that’s one down side to this box. When I went out to look at past boxes, I found that Liz reviewed this in February 2015. Finally learning how to read these dice will make it for a fun game with the kids, and like Liz, will probably come down to dice for decisions and choices.
Predator Jungle Camo Bandana – Retail Value $13.99 (found here for $10.99)
This is a pretty cool item if you are a fan of Predator. The bandana is a fun design and really just looks like camo. I used to wear a bandana around my hair back in early 2000’s but as of now I have no use for it and honestly I have never even seen the films. Eric also received this back in September 2018.
Black Tie Geek Bow Tie – Unknown Retail Value
This is a cute bow tie! I genuinely do not know what the little designs are. I originally thought it was the little aliens in the Galaxian game, but they are a little different. Either way, it’s a pretty cool “geeky” tie. I have not yet decided if my son Jayden will adopt this bow or if I will put it on Quincy, my dog. He really rocks bow ties instead of collars. This bow tie is pretied with a clip to close it and is adjustable. Liz received this in May 2013, which was the first Loot Crate we ever reviewed!
Dr. Strange Vinyl Figure – Unknown Retail Value
I enjoy getting vinyl figures in my Loot Remix box, even if I don’t really know what they are. The detail in them is just so cool. This month, I got Dr. Strange and it is just such a fantastic figure! It is obviously right in an action shot, while he is casting a spell with his cape flowing in the wind. This is probably my favorite item in this month’s box. Eric received Dr. Strange in November 2016.
Destiny 3-Pack Patches – Retail Value $10.99 (found here for $6.99)
I have never played Destiny but I have heard of it. When I saw these and opened them up, I thought for sure they were pretty cool and that you don’t have to be a fan to appreciate these patches. The quality of the patches seems really good, too. There are three patches in this set: Hunter, Titan and Warlock, each representing a different class. My brother in law is a fan of Destiny, so I will eventually get this over to him (they live a couple of hours away!). Eric got these in May 2017.
Megaman Lanyard/Keychain – Unknown Retail Value
I love lanyards like this! The bottom part is easily detachable and is just as easy reattaching. This design is also pretty cool and was nostalgic for my husband who used to play Megaman on Nintendo. The bottom part of the keychain also has a Megaman figure. I was unable to locate this in the Loot Vault or previous reviews.
Verdict: Loot Remix is a pretty cool box with such a big variety of items from previous Loot Boxes. I can honestly say I have never received a Loot Remix box late; it comes every month around the same time. I do think its because they have such a big supply of past items they are getting rid of. This month, we didn’t receive an exclusive pin but we received the most items ever – 6! I was only able to find the values of two items (bandana and patches) which totaled $24.98 ($17.98 if you consider is sales price). Both prices exceed the value of the box and doesn’t even take into account 4 items. This month’s box has exceeded its cost and the promised value!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will get a box with a different mix of items.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $14.99 + free shipping, which means that each of the 6 items in the box has an average cost of $2.49.
