Hip Modern Soap Co Avocado Bath Bomb – Retail Value $6
The basic Jessica in me absolutely loves this avocado bath bomb. It smells earthy with a blend of avocado (of course), garden cucumber, green vines, and grassy mint, and it turned my bath water a bright green. This is made with both cocoa butter and grapeseed oil, so it left my skin feeling soft, too.
Dose Bath and Body Co Watermelon Body Buff Scrub – Estimated Value $10 (buy other body buff scrubs here)
Not only does this look like a watermelon (it even has a few scattered seeds!), but it smells just like watermelon candy. It is juicy and delicious, and it is great for exfoliating my legs without being too harsh thanks to ingredients like shea butter and safflower seed oil.
Yours Truly Jaden Kiwi Cutie Bubble Bar – Estimated Value $6.50 (buy other bubble bars from the brand here)
This bubble bar is stellar - it smells JUST like fresh kiwi fruit, and it made an amazing mound of fluffy bubbles. I would say this bar is enough for three baths with loads of bubbles, but if you have a deep soaking tub you could use the whole bubble bar for a truly luxurious cloud of bubbles.
Lathered In Love Strawberry Fields Bath Bomb – Retail Value $6.16
This bath bomb smells just like a juicy strawberry, and it foamed up nicely once it hit the water. I used it in the same bath as my kiwi bubble bar for a strawberry kiwi experience, and it was a joy for both my eyes and nose.
Sudsatorium Peach Perfect Lip Scrub – Retail Value $7.68
I really love lipsticks, which means I always need good lip care to turn to. I like that this lip scrub wasn’t too dry so it spread across my lips with ease, and the flavor of peach and chamomile reminded me of peach gummy candies. It was tasty, and it did a good job of prepping my lips for lipstick.
Dirt Bag Beauty Berry Bomb Face Mask – Buy the full-size version for $24
This is a dry mask that you make into a mask by adding your liquid of choice (you can use water, but I usually reach for a hydrating toner) and applying to your skin. This mask is a chemical exfoliant thanks to the fruit enzymes from strawberries and papaya, and it also is made with blueberry, marshmallow root, and cherry. To be honest, I was a bit bummed that this mask wasn't a vibrant pink color considering all of the fruit in the ingredients, but this was a fun mask that left my skin feeling smooth.
The Verdict: I loved the fruity theme this month - everything smelled amazing without smelling artificial, and I love that avocado got some recognition! While the retail value is never crazy (this month I estimated a total value of $36.35 for everything except the mask), the exclusive products, the ability to try products from Canadian brands (the lip scrub and the strawberry bath bomb), and stellar curation always add extra value that makes Lavish Bath Box a real treat to open and enjoy.
