The GlobeIn Premium Box is a monthly artisan subscription that sends you original crafts by global artisans. Each box contains handcrafted items from around the world and the stories of the artists who made the pieces.

There are two levels of subscription: Essential and Premium. The Essential subscription comes with one handpicked artisan item each month, and the Premium comes with a full curated collection.

This is a review of the Premium box, which is $40.00 per month.

Each box from GlobeIn contains a booklet that talks more about the theme for the box and the items inside. This little booklet is almost as valuable to me as the items inside the box because it gives background on each piece and often gives the names and shows photographs of the artisans who made them! I absolutely love knowing more about each item and the hands that crafted it.

Just a heads up, since there aren't prices listed in the booklet for the items, I'm going off the prices given in this Globein spoilers post for items I couldn't find online.

Iridescent Ice Cream Sundae Glasses, Mexico - Listed Value $32.00

These are so unbelievably beautiful. They are made of thick, handblown glass and coated with an iridescent rainbow finish. They would easily work for ice cream sundaes, water/juice, or just to hold your desk pens or makeup brushes because they are too pretty to store away behind a cabinet door. I love the iridescent kitchenware trend and these really will fit my kitchen decor so beautifully. They feel very heavy and well made, yet they still have those little quirks and differences that only handmade items have. I believe that little bit of human touch makes items even more special personally.

Copper Stainless Steel Straws, India - Listed Value $6.00

I am on a straw kick! Over the last couple of months, I have received BPA free plastic straws, glass straws, bamboo straws, and silicone straws. I get that the trend might be in overload right now, but I am all for it. Straws are really bad for the earth and I enjoy getting replacements that I can stash all over the place like my desk, kitchen, car, everywhere! I love these super classy, bent, rose gold versions that are unlike any others I have in my collection. They made a stunning complement to the iridescent glasses from this box too.

Copper Stainless Steel Ice Cream Scoop, India  - Listed Value $18.00

I just realized that I don't actually own an ice cream scoop, so this is great that they included one! It kind of reminds me of a much more glam version of the steel one my Nana has and that thing is like 12,843,738 years old, so this should also last quite a while with its pure metal construction. In addition to being gorgeous, the heat from your hand warms the spoon up as you scoop, meaning that hard ice cream scoops that much easier. Winning!

Eggplant and Cyan Small Toppings Bowls,  Morocco - Listed Value $36.00

Lastly, we received a pair of quirky and cute topping bowls. Perfect for your rainbow sprinkles or cherries, these would also be great for a vanity or near a sink to catch your little knickknacks and jewelry. The pointed rims are really unique and I like the design that reminds me of tic-tack-toe games. Each of these bowls is signed on the bottom with the studio info from Morocco. The glaze is actually delicately crackled up close and very, very lovely.

The Verdict: The items in this month's GlobeIn make me want to throw an adorable ice cream party for myself! I guess I could be nice enough to invite my husband, after all, I do have two glasses, bowls, and straws! The items this month were really beautifully colored, from the iridescent glass finish of the glasses to the crackle glaze on the bowls, and the rose gold/copper color of the metal straws and scoop. As usual, the items are high quality and each has that special magic that comes from being handmade by a talented and passionate craftsman. As always, information about each of these craftsmen is included in the booklet, meaning I get to enjoy their work and learn a little more about them at the same time. This box felt so special and summery, it might be one of my favorites ever from this sub.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I chose this theme for my July box and love love the ice cream glasses. So pretty with any cold drink. So far I’m in to choose another theme for August.

I subbed to this box after seeing the Delish. It’s a rather confusing sub box. You actually have to go into your account to choose a monthly theme box or it defaults to “Surprise” meaning you may NOT receive the Delish box. You have to choose Delish or Bath Or Masquerade etc. before the 10th or you will receive a “Surprise” box.

As for Add Ons, like FFF you can refresh as people drop items. Over the course of the first two days, it appears more items were added. So good to look every now and then to see if you want to open up your wallet for further damage. Lol.

Shipping? Yeah the $10 per box bites. But first month is free. I used BEMINE code from Valentines and it still worked. Instead of 3 month $134 ($144 but first box is free shipping), my bill was $114 as BEMINE allowed for 50% off first box so an additional $20 off.

I did buy a set of four Made in India rose gold dessert spoons with marble handles from TJMaxx in anticipation of my Delish Box.

When seeing the reviews of the home decor/lifestyle boxes, Globein always catches my eye. They may have items similar to the other boxes but always more unique looking. Cost is a little high and I also dislike shipping (always forget to add into the price) but month after month they outshine the other boxes with their uniqueness.

I’d love to swap for the bowls if anyone wants to!

Rachael, I’ll likely list them once I receive my box later this month. I LOVE little bowls like that but we probably have too many…so keep an eye out. 🙂 The rest of the box is mine mine mine LOL.

Yay! Thanks for letting me know!! Is there anything you’re looking for, for them?

Just FYI, I am cancelling my essential subscription (the one where you get to use your $10/month accumulated credit) because they can’t be bothered to update the website when they send the “add-on items are ready” email. I’m sick of trying to refresh every few hours and then, when they finally update, anything I would want is already sold out. Caveat Emptor on the essential sub, it is not well managed.

For better or worse, I hate paying for shipping. It should be factored into the price so there are no misunderstandings. I don’t even consider boxes that add shipping costs.

I consider paying shipping very painful… And it makes me think twice about subscribing to anything.
