Is the Add-ons still down? The website says it opened at 9 am this morning but it just wants me to upgrade, there are no items to buy.

Update for those relying on these updates instead of accessing the site: Site is back up. Summer add ons still not working. A customer service chat box pops up to explain when you try to access add ons.

Yep, I’ve now re-arranged my schedule two days in a row around these stupid add ons. Add ons are the ONLY reason I do an annual to FFF. This is very frustrating!

No, their website has completely crashed. It’s either a 504 Gateway time out or a 502 Bad gate- both not good. Whatever they tried to do REALLY screwed things up. I think they need to stop this entire sale and start again. When I was able to get on for a split second I had over $ 2,500 in my cart of things i didn’t pick!!

Maybe they need to spend a tiny bit less on advertising and influencers and just a hint more on getting their site to work.

I think it might be time for FFF to fire their team of engineers! Not sure why they messed with things…the past time or two things seemed to be working just fine…now this fiasco…

FFF fully admits to hiring their BFFs. They can’t fire their BFF?… Also the Exec in charge of the IT will never be fired.
I’m sure they’re trying to figure out how many credit vouchers for the troubles. I also wonder if this affects the start date for Seasonals Add On?

I can’t get in to the add-ons either, but I was able to see that the items I tried to select yesterday seem to be in my cart. So that’s a relief!

Not all of my stuff was there. Ooohhh weeelllll. Money saved I guess!

And now we’re back to the good old Gateway Time Out. Sigh. I was able to see my cart and it did not have 1 of everything I added yesterday before they shut it down. What a mess. Oh well. Guess I’m saving money this sale!

Yep. Yesterday was one thing; unexpected problems happen sometimes, and I think most of us can be understanding about that. But don’t announce a new/date time for re-opening if you aren’t sure you can fix the issue by then.

I just got a FFF annual subscription this weekend. Not really getting off to a good start. I am disappointed by the add -ons seen here. Hope there are better offerings available tomorrow, but if not I will have more money to spend on my stationery addiction.

I feel so bad for them like one person said how many people will lose their job over this? Mistakes happen technology sometimes gets messed up. I have 4 daughters and I’m trying to always teach them to show grace kindness and compassion especially online. I will not let this ruin my day because that’s just silly. They will get it fixed and the world will keep spinning;)

I totally agree that this is a “first world problem.” However, if it makes you feel any better, if the person actually responsible for the issue and lack of appropriate testing is fired, they deserve to be since they are costing their employer money and reputation. If they are the victim of bad management or pressures outside of their control and are a good employee, they will be happier and better off somewhere else where they are appreciated and treated well. I know from personal experience. I am an engineer and although my field is definitely more “life and death” than a FFF sale, you cannot launch something without extensive stress testing and assurance it will be successful. FFF has had continual problems. It seemed like they finally had it fixed and now they’ve taken a bunch more steps backwards. Not good for their reputation at all…

There’s no way they can recreate what people clicked on. That would take forever, especially when most of us were clicking on things like crazy trying to get them to stick. We’ll just start all over tomorrow, which is fine, but I don’t know why they create more problems (backlash) for themselves by saying we’ll have a quantity of 1 for each item we added to our cart today. lol

I am a seasonal subscriber so hopefully all computer items will be cleared up before it is my turn to select add-ons. I am more concerned about the combining of add-ons so the cost will be higher. I hope they still have the $7-$11 items which come in handy for gifts and stocking stuffers.
