There is usually a handwritten card with some styling suggestions. The level of detail just gives me the feeling that the people at CHC Vintage are really excited by what they do.

I find that my preferences are really listened to, as well. I don’t wear shorts or super short skirts and what I received this month (see below) is definitely a length that works for me.

1980s/1990s Jumpsuit

Although this outfit is typically a top and skirt/shorts/pants, CHC Vintage said in the handwritten note that sometimes they mix it up a little, and I received this jumpsuit. I am pretty sure it is actually a very dark green color, but that wasn’t obvious from the lighting inside my house. At any rate, I have tons of neutral shoes so I don’t have to color-match the outfit exactly.

This fits really well. I am obviously not used to wearing jumpsuits, though, because I kept trying to raise my arms up above my head and being limited in my range of motion by the fact that my outfit was one piece. (The fabric doesn’t have any stretch to it, but it is super light and a great weight for summer.) I will get used to it, and I don’t have much call to raise my arms that high in the office, either, which is probably where I will wear this the most often.

Enamel Necklace

Because I received a one-piece outfit, there were extra accessories this month (typically you get one accessory). The first item was this necklace. You can see the length in the second photo. This will work with a lot of the necklines in my wardrobe and will be good for days when I want something simple.

Wooden Bracelet

I don’t have much wooden jewelry but that’s what makes this stand out in my collection. I do love bangles. This fits me well but might have been tough to get on for someone with a larger hand/wrist. (I have 5.25 inch wrists and tiny hands to match, so this slipped on easily.) I can already think of a couple of other outfits this will also work with.

Post Earrings

These have a little bit of age-related patina on them (you can see it in the second picture) but I think that gives them character (I guess it means they are brass? I like brass). I definitely need to coat the posts with clear nail polish before I wear them for real as I found my ears a little sensitive when I modeled them for this picture (but the nail polish thing always works for me). I like how they look against my dark hair.

Verdict: I didn’t know what to expect with the CHC Vintage Outfit subscription, basically just the pictures on their website. Although I did give some preferences for things I might like, I didn’t strongly oppose any options (except shorts and really short skirts). I said that I’d be happy to try outfits from different decades and I think this month’s selection absolutely worked for me, plus it is seasonally appropriate so I can start wearing it right away (I live in the South; we’re already having some days in the 80s).

As Kevans said, this jumpsuit looks great on you. As everyone is mentioning, jumpsuits are back on trend again. Love the line, “I don’t have much call to raise my arms that high in the office.” LOL

Jumpsuits are so on-trend for spring summer. I have been wishing I had all mine back from the early 90s and you received a perfect one!

I don’t remember what I wore in the early 90s but it would’ve been junior high and the first part of high school and it’s probably better to forget that.

This might be a subscription I need as it is so hard to find dresses and skirts that are long enough to suit me. I like below the knee and midi.

Looks great on you! I love jumpsuits, and this one has a really timeless feel to it. Like a classy lady in the French Riviera.
