Did anyone else think that you got to choose a sample (winky lux, baggage claim or whatever the other one was) + a curated box? Or did I have to give up the sample choice by choosing a curated box? I got the box I wanted but nothing from the sample choices…i really wanted the winky lux 🙁

It’s an ‘either or’ situation. You can choose one sample OR the curated box.

I thought you used to be able to purchase the curated boxes if you wanted them if you don’t have a sub, does anyone know Thanks

I’m pretty sure the eyeshadow duo in box 3 is smashbox

I got an email yesterday saying customization was open and I clicked on it almost immediately and Birchbox said “customization is closed.” I thought maybe they hadn’t updated it yet, so I checked again later and today as well…it still says “closed.” Did anyone else have this problem? I would definitely like to customize as I’ve gotten a lot of unwanted junk in my past three boxes.

Yes I did .. emailed them immediately.. attached their email … Timestamp… And immediately they responded. They allowed me to choose whatever box I wanted I chose the fountain of youth.

Birchbox did a much better job this time around on making sure people could get their choices. Because, as of 8pm EST on the 2nd choice day. Everything, except the Making Waves curated box is still available. This means the majority will have gotten their first choice. So, props to BB this time around. Hope they can keep it up!

I will actually consider renewing my year-long sub if they continue to offer so many curated choices. LOVE the Fountain of Youth selection (cuz I’m old.)

Marion

I chose Box 1/Fountain of Youth, since it only has 2 things I won’t use.

I have FOMO, though, especially since I would like to try the R+Co dry shampoo.

I received my notification on May 29th at 8 a.m. I’m email and then I went to it . On Birchbox said customization is closed that is so wrong

The eyeshadow duo is Butter London 😊😊

Even though I’ll hardly keep anything from the box, I still chose the one with the Smith & Cult polish. If I can add to my Smith & Cult collection through a box I’ll take it! 🙂

Dani

Me too! I’ve received 2 other polishes from them in other kits/boxes but they weren’t colors I like so I’ve never actually tried their formula. The color they had in last month’s box was more my taste but of course it sold out before I could pick it. I logged on first thing this morning thinking I’d be too early but luckily I was able to make my selection before they sold out. I actually liked more products in the Fountain of Youth box but I couldn’t pass up the chance to finally try the Smith & Cult. I like Jouer lip products but the one in this box isn’t my shade unfortunately. I do like the Butter London colors and I’ve never tried their eyeshadow so overall I’m pretty excited about my choice. It seems like Birchbox is actually stepping it up. Unfortunately this is my last month and with all my other subs I can’t let myself stay subscribed. At least for now.

I went with the Making Waves curated box for the Smith and Cult Polish, as well. Makes the whole box worth it to me! If that one was sold out I was found to go with the Out magazine kit for the Suki Polish.

Sandra

I was thinking about that box as well…just for the Smith&Cult polish. Then I realized I have so many great polishes that are similar to that one. So I decided on something different and went for the eyeshadow and brush set (you can never have too many eyeshadow brushes). and, I really like the Luxie brushes. Also…I’m up for the surprise! BTW…it does not look as if any of the curated boxes are sold out yet. I just chose my sample option today!

LAURA

If I subscribe today I will be able to choose a curated box?

Amanda P

Yes!

Amy Murdter

I would guess probably not, Laura. I subscribed May 18th and got a May box, but didn’t get to choose until this month, but you never know!
