Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box April 2019 Review

This box comes with an info sheet and a monthly recipe for the ultimate bath, however, we received this box early for review purposes and the inserts were not ready yet.

Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Ylang Apricot Orange Luxury Soap 1 TopBath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Ylang Apricot Orange Luxury Soap 2 Top

Ylang Apricot Orange Luxury Soap – Listed Value $15

This artisan soap from Bath Blessing is some of the most high-quality soap I have tried. It lathers well, it doesn’t dissolve quickly, and the scent is fresh. The blend of ylang-ylang, apricot, and orange is uplifting and refreshing, and it’s moisturizing while providing a mild exfoliation thanks to the ground apricot seeds.

Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Yippee & Co Silky Springtime Bath Bomb Top

Yippee & Co Silky Springtime Bath Bomb – Listed Value $8

This bath bomb is scented with springtime florals and is made with sea salt, almond oil, and kaolin clay for silky smooth skin. I think $8 for the small size is a bit high, but this was still a relaxing bath bomb.

Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Salt Satchel by Bath Blessing Pouch Top

Salt Satchel by Bath Blessing – Listed Value $5

This satchel is made with sea salt, pink Himalayan salt, essential oils, and flower petals. I love that this made a mess-free floral bath, and it smelled great used with the Yippee and Co bath bomb.

Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Natural Desires Soap Company Ooh LaLa Jasmine Crush Bath Truffle 1 TopBath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Natural Desires Soap Company Ooh LaLa Jasmine Crush Bath Truffle 2 Top

Natural Desires Soap Company Jasmine Crush Bath Truffle Retail Value $6

This jasmine-scented bath truffle was a real treat- it crumbled easily under water and made an impressive amount of bubbles. The jasmine scent went perfectly with the salt satchel and bath bomb, and I enjoyed feeling like a queen when I used all three products in the same bath.

Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Shower Steamer Front TopBath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Shower Steamer Back Top

Natural Desires Soap Company Shower SteamersRetail Value $8

If you chose the shower option rather than the bath option for your subscription, this month you would have received this 4-piece shower steamer set in the scents of peppermint, lemongrass, lavender, and orange. The packaging reminds me of a box of chocolate, and I love that this gives you the option to have four lovely showers with aromatherapy.

Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Earthly Elixirs Grapefruit Ginger Cream Body Wash and Bubble Bath Front

Earthly Elixirs Grapefruit Ginger Cream Body Wash and Bubble Bath, 4 oz. – Retail Value $9

This body wash is packaged in a beautiful glass jar, so I would recommend not placing this in a shower used by kids. It definitely adds to the luxury factor for me though, and I loved the creamy scent of ginger that left my skin clean and smooth. I haven’t tried this as a bubble bath yet, but that will be next!

Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - St. Joe Soap Company Silent Night Salt Cake 1 TopBath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - St. Joe Soap Company Silent Night Salt Cake 2 Top

St. Joe Soap Company Silent Night Salt Cake – Retail Value $6

While the skin on my face can be sensitive and temperamental, I have never really had that issue with the rest of my body- until I used this salt cake. I was enamored by the massive size, and I was excited to take a soothing bath to help with muscle tension. Unfortunately, a few minutes after I climbed into the tub the skin on the back of my legs started to burn. I immediately drained the tub and washed my legs to get off any residue, and luckily there were no long-lasting effects other than some temporary discomfort.

Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box Review April 2019 - Moni’s Natural Skin Care Nourishing Body Oil Front

Moni’s Natural Skin Care Nourishing Body Oil, 2 oz – Retail Value $8

I love body oils, and this one has a tea tree and jasmine scent that is especially pleasant. This is made with grapeseed, argan, and jojoba oils, and it is nourishing and hydrating to my skin while leaving an amazing scent.

The Verdict: The Sanctuary Bath Box from Bath Blessing was such a lovely experience. Rather than focusing on bright colors and sugary scents like some other bath brands, Bath Blessing focuses on the highest quality possible when it comes to ingredients. Even though my skin didn’t agree with one of the products, I consider that more of a fluke than something to really worry about. I also really like that you can specify when you sign up whether you want bath bombs or shower steamers. To my knowledge, this is the only bath box that you can use everything from even if you don’t have a bathtub! Value-wise, even if some of the listed values seem a bit high, I definitely think you’re getting a great value when you consider the free shipping and the quality of the items sent.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? You will receive the May box. Boxes ship between the 15-22nd of every month. Also, if you are thinking about gifting this box for Mother’s Day it will be shipping May 8th specifically for that purpose.

LIMITED TIME DEAL: Use code MOMSDAY to save $10 off your first box!

Value Breakdown: At $39.99 + free shipping for this box you are paying about $5.71 per item.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
