The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. All of their products are vegan (and they tend to be natural, too). They also typically include a nice mix of full-size and sample beauty items. Vegan Cuts also offers a monthly Snack Box and quarterly Makeup Box.
This review is of the $22.95 a month Vegan Cuts Beauty Box.
Vegan Cuts sends a single package to subscribers who get both the beauty and snack boxes. The beauty items are separated into a little bag. (If you do not get the snack box, I don’t think you get the little bag.)
Vegan Cuts sent us this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box March 2019 Review
The Vegan Cuts Beauty box usually contains a variety of haircare, skincare, and bath and body products. There’s often one makeup product, as well:
Each Vegan Cuts Beauty Box comes with an information card detailing the items for that month.
Shero Science Gentle Milky Gel Cleanser (1 fl oz) – Estimated Value $2.83 (buy 6 fl oz for $17)
The day before I received this box, I had run out of cleanser in the shower, so I put this there, which means I haven’t been using it to remove makeup, but I have instead been using it after exercise. It does get the sweat and oils off my face without leaving me dried out, and even though this bottle is quite small, I am finding I don’t need much at once. Although cleansers are maybe not the most exciting thing to receive, they are useful!
PiperWai Natural Deodorant (? size) – Estimated Value $2.50 (buy 2 mini jars for $5)
This is advertised as being good for sensitive skin but it has baking soda in it and that gives me a bad rash after maybe two days of use, so I have passed this along to someone else. In general, I just don’t use natural deodorants because they don’t work for me, but also because of my reaction to baking soda. If you are looking for a new natural deodorant to try, though, I haven’t seen this in a lot of subscription boxes yet so maybe it will work out for you.
Hempz Herbal Body Moisturizer (2.25 fl oz) – Estimated Value $3.04 (buy 17 fl oz for $23)
This brand pops up in the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box a couple of times a year, but they do vary the scents. I think this product is moisturizing and I do like the scent and will use this, I just find that I don’t have a lot else to say about it.
AG Hair Care Coco Nut Milk Conditioning Spray (1.8 fl oz) – Estimated Value $9.36 (buy 5 fl oz for $26; found here for $19.50)
This smells pretty good (like coconut, as you might expect) and is a new product for me. I felt like it did a decent job as a detangler (especially with a Tangle Teezer) and it made my hair very soft, but it didn’t do much of anything for frizz.
Ellovi Key Lime Lip Butter (0.15 oz) – Estimated Value $5
This must be a new or limited run flavor as I didn’t see it on the Ellovi website (so I just linked you to their other flavors, which I would assume had the same value). This does have a little bit of a cheesecake-like flavor I associate with key lime pie (I mean that in a good way) although I think the other lip balm we received this month was a little more to my liking in terms of performance.
Crazy Rumors Mystery Flavor Lip Balm (0.15 oz) – Retail Value $3.49
You’ll get at least a couple of these per year with this subscription. I am a fan of the performance – this lasts a good amount of time for a daytime lip balm. I really have no idea what the flavor is, though. I swear, it is different to me every time. It’ll smell fruity or like cloves/bubblegum or like something else entirely.
Gleam Lip Radiance by Melanie Mills in “Uncontrollable” (0.176 oz) – Retail Value $24 (found here for $12)
This is supposed to be a fusion between lipstick and lip gloss. It wears more like a gloss but has more color (reminds me a bit of the Urban Decay Revolution lip glosses). We’ve received this in past boxes in other colors. I happen to love this color! I see from the manufacturer’s website that these have been discontinued so if it’s something you like, better stock up while you still can (they are half price right now).
BaeBlu Black Eyeliner (0.04 oz) – Retail Value $12.99
I rarely wear black eyeliner, instead opting for bright colors (lots of blues, greens, purples, sometimes more adventurous colors like hot pink or orange). But, I gave this a try. It goes on really, really smoothly for a pencil and it has staying power (the swatch was visible on my arm even after a shower). However, I have super oily eyelids and even over primer and shadow, this migrated. I don’t think it’s a problem with the product so much as with my eyelids, though.
Here are swatches of the lip product and the eyeliner.
Verdict: I calculated a value of $60.71 for this month’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box. That is more than double the month-to-month cost of the subscription. Although it was a little strange to get what amounted to two lip balms in the same box, overall I thought the mix of products was nicely spread out among skincare, bath body, hair care, and makeup. I loved the color of the Lip Radiance and the cleanser was a good discovery for me, as well, and some of the other items (lotion, lip balms) are practical for me and will be used up as well, so I was happy with this month’s box.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You will receive the April box. Order by the end of the month to get that month's box.
