Tasu March 2019 “Spring Box” Review
Tasu includes a card describing the monthly theme. On the reverse is a list of what’s included with retail values. This month’s theme is “Love Yourself”.
Let’s dive in!
Myrtle Cleansing Oil, 4 fl oz.— Retail Value $19.50
I love cleansing oil! I double cleanse and I find that an oil-based option makes a great first step. Simply rub this sweet smelling oil onto your DRY face and rub in circles. Your makeup will slide right off! When you are done massaging, wash this cleanser away with warm water, then follow up with serums and moisturizers or with your favorite second step cleanser. This blend of sunflower and grapeseed oils is very gentle on skin and the essential oils of tangerine, myrtle, and lemon give it a great fresh scent. If you aren’t a fan of oil cleansing, fret not! This blend works great as an all-over moisturizer too, no rinsing needed! I love it on my legs.
Golden Glow Tea, 30 g — Listed Value $3.73 ($5.00 CAD)
This blend of ginger, turmeric, carrot, beets, pineapple pieces, and calendula petals is a great way to enjoy a delicious golden milk latte at home. Combine it with your favorite steamed milk or milk alternative and steep, or use it in hot water like traditional teas. I prefer my turmeric beverages with something sweet, and the fruit pieces in this blend taste delicious.
Morning Dew Essential Oil Blend — Listed Value $13.50
This oil blend is made of rosemary, eucalyptus, and tangerine essential oils. This trio is super energizing! I generally always mix eucalyptus with sweet orange in my diffuser at home, but this blend is even better and makes my kitchen seem so bright and clean. It is a perfect oil for the morning because those bold fragrances have this way of really waking me up while I enjoy some breakfast tea.
Lava Bead Amazonite Bracelet – Listed Value $16.50 ($22.00 CAD)
I think the value of this bracelet is slightly inflated, but even so, it is really cute and charming. It is also functional since the majority of the beads are lava stone, meaning you can drip your favorite oils onto them and have a portable/wearable essential oil diffuser with you all day! The little black tassel is very on trend and it is a great stacking bracelet.
Tasu Linen Spray, 4 fl oz — Listed Value $9.00
For some reason, I associate springtime with linen sprays and open windows, sun shining through. This blend of frankincense and sweet orange is perfect because it is both bold and bright as well as a little sultry. Since this formula is water-based, it did not leave any residue on my sheets, which is good because that would certainly be a deal breaker for me.
The Verdict: Tasu was certainly springy this month and I am SO READY. I absolutely loved the oil-based cleanser and the linen spray. Both will get lots of use in my home. The essential oil blend was also a winner and has my kitchen smelling great. The little lava stone bracelet is very cute and works well with other similar bracelets I have. I thought I was a little sick of turmeric mixes until this fruity one. The values of this box can be a little tricky to calculate since the prices on the included sheet are in Canadian dollars, while some items I can find on their website in USD. I am going to breakdown my value estimation based on the CAD prices listed on the product card. This box has a listed value of $62.24 USD ($83 CAD) which is a good value for a $34.44 USD (with shipping) box.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but April boxes are currently available!
