Sooni Mini Pouch April 2019 Review
This box normally comes with an info sheet, but mine got left out by accident. Oops!
Etude House Perfumed Body Lotion, 2.02 oz – Retail Value $2.60
This travel-sized body lotion smells sweet without being overbearing, and it is lightweight while still providing effective moisture to my skin. I think Etude House has really cute travel-sized beauty products, and this will be going in my toiletries bag on the short trip I take next week.
Foodaholic Snail Soothing Gel, 300 mL – Retail Value $13.90 (found on sale here for $13.21)
I love me some snail, but I was a little perplexed when I saw this massive container of snail soothing gel. This can be used on both your face and body to provide soothing moisture, and the texture is very similar to aloe. With an increased risk of sunburns coming with the warmer months (even though I wear sunscreen every day), I will be sticking this in the fridge to provide comfort when my skin needs it.
Dewytree 7 Cut Clean Healthy Foam Cleanser – Buy the full-size version for $17
This cleanser is made with tea tree, eucalyptus, and rosemary oil to provide an effective cleanse. I found this to be gentle, and even though there are a lot of plant oils in this cleanser there was only a light herbal scent that was refreshing.
Dewytree 7 Cut Cell Essence
This essence is made from birch sap to add a hydrating and nourishing layer to your skin (which in turn will make your serums and treatments more effective!). I liked that this absorbed with no residue, and it definitely is moisturizing.
Dewytree 7 Cut Facial Cream – Buy the full-size version for $32
This moisturizer had a great texture that I enjoyed dipping into, and it was rich without being heavy. It really sank into my skin quickly and left it feeling nourished, and I would describe the formula as a creamy gel.
Dewytree 7 Cut Shampoo – Buy the full-size version for $36
This sample has two foil packets of shampoo, and I appreciate that the samples can be separated for ease of travel. I was happy with how this cleansed my hair, and it didn’t leave it stripped of moisture. I try to refrain from shampooing my hair when I travel, but the other sample is going in my travel bag just in case.
A’Pieu Icing Sweet Bar Watermelon Mask – Retail Value $3 (found on sale here for $2)
A’Pieu is one of my favorite K-Beauty brands, and I have tried other variations of this same mask before and enjoyed them. This is made with watermelon extract, green tea extract, pomegranate extract, and witch hazel to nourish and balance your skin, and I enjoyed the light watermelon scent.
Jant Blanc Plentiful Essential Snail Mask
Jant Blanc is a brand that I really only see from Sooni Pouch, but I have found that the products perform well, so it doesn’t bother me too much. I liked how well this mask fit my eyes, nose, and mouth, and while this mask wasn’t cooling the way a lot of sheet masks are, it was still comfortable. I am not sure if the snail secretion filtrate was able to do much since I only wore this mask for 20 minutes, but my skin looked brighter and more nourished after using.
IntoSkin The Mud Lifting Mask – Retail Value $5.16
This is a two-step mask that includes an eye cream that you apply before the sheet mask. I found the cream to be rich and hydrating, but it still absorbed easily into my skin. Since so much eye cream is included, I also applied it to my neck, and I was happy with how it performed there. The sheet mask that followed was comfortable to wear, cooling, and my skin was happier after using. The IntoSkin mud masks are some of my favorite masks out there, so I am not bothered about this being a repeat item from back in September.
The Verdict: It’s like Sooni Pouch knew I would be taking a trip next week, and they sent me almost everything I need to bring in my toiletries bag! I love when the products that come in subscription boxes feel especially timely, and that is the truth for this months box. Part of the fun of this subscription is trying brand new K-Beauty products, and I think they delivered that. This box is supposed to include 3-4 full-size or deluxe size samples with a retail value of over $60. I don’t think they met the promised value, however, I definitely think I got my monies worth for the $19.99 cost.
To Wrap Up:
Can you get this box if you sign up today? Yes, I believe April boxes are still shipping.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $19.99 + free US shipping, which means that each of the 9 items in the box has an average cost of $2.22
