SnackSack sends a pamphlet pictured above every month that contains an abundance of information including social media handles, a menu for their three box options and some promotions to win snacks and prizes.
Every first-time subscriber receives a reusable tote, which is meant to hold all your snacks.
Now onto the goodies!
Harvest Snaps Black Pepper Pea Crisps, 1.75oz - Buy a 3.3oz bag for $2.19 (found here for $1.97)
I love these crunchy peas. I received the Black Pepper flavor, but they have an assortment of flavors to choose from; the lightly salted is definitely my favorite, but this peppery blend also tastes great. The best thing about this filling snack is this 1.75oz bag has 8 grams of fiber and 9 grams of plant protein, so it is great for an energy boost between meals.
Country Archer Hickory Turkey Jerky, 1.5oz - Retail Value $3
For someone who doesn’t navigate towards turkey, this turkey jerky was amazing! The chewy texture was perfectly moist and didn’t leave my jaw aching. Hickory smoke sounds intense, but the smoke flavor was perfectly balanced. Country Archer doesn’t lace their products with preservatives, which is impressive for jerky, and they use all organic ingredients, including turkeys not raised on antibiotics. Love!
Ammo Chocolate Chip Granola Bar, 1.7oz – Buy a 6 bars for $10.99
I can always appreciate a caffeinated snack for a pick-me-up! This granola bar has a very satisfying dark chocolate taste as well as 150mg of caffeine AND 10 grams of protein for that perfect midday energy boost. This bar is also gluten-free and has only 190 calories, a perfect snack for an afternoon of errands or breakfast on-the-go.
Tosi Health Superbites Singles in Cashew, 2.6oz - Buy a box of 12 for $36
This cashew blend is simply scrumptious. This bar is broken up into 2.5 servings and pre-cut into the perfect snacking size. Each serving has 5 grams of protein and 11 grams of fat, which is a lot, but considering it is “good fat” I don’t mind as much. This sticky bar also has chia and flax seeds and is full of healthy omegas.
Tosi Health Superbites Singles in Blueberry Almond, 2.6oz - Buy a box of 12 for $36
SnackSack included another variety of the Tosi Superbites with blueberries and almonds. The nutritional facts are similar, but this version has a little more sugar. I missed the cashews this time around, but it was still delicious without them.
Beanfields Snacks Bean Chips, 1.5oz - Buy a 5.5oz bag for $4.09 (found here for $2.86)
If you’re looking for a chip packed with flavor that is vegan and gluten-free, look no further! I’ve tried many types of bean chips, and Beanfields Nacho chips are my favorite to date. This bag has 1.5 servings, and each serving has 4 grams of protein and fiber and only 130 calories, a much healthier substitute for Doritos!
Bohana Popper Water Lily Seeds, 2oz - Buy 6 2oz packs for $24.99
It is difficult for me to pinpoint the spice of this odd snack, but I think Bohana named it perfectly: Soulful Spice. It has a lingering peppery taste that I quite like, and the puffs are the perfect size to shovel a handful in your mouth, sit back and enjoy the gentle burn. Popped lily seeds also have alkaline properties which could be beneficial to any snacker out there, and with a small kick of protein added to this mix, this came to be a satisfying discovery this month.
Prince of Peace Lychee Ginger Chews, 3oz – Retail Value $2.59
This bag of chews is an unexpected pick from SnackSack. Initially fruity, you start chewing on one of these, and it sends you right to the floor with a powerful and spicy ginger kick! Love!!! I think I found my new travel companion in this snack since ginger is known to help settle queasy stomachs.
Belgian Boys Mini Stash Cookie, 1oz - Buy a 5 1oz bags for $4.99
Belgian Boys never disappoint! Tiny mustaches are adorable and tasty, in that order. I wasn’t blown away by the taste of these cookies; they are really nothing special that I haven’t tasted before, but they do make a fun snack.
Verb Energy Simply Cocoa Energy Bite, .78oz - Retail Value $1.50
Thanks to SnackSack, I have tried this Energy Bite before, but in the blueberry flavor. This cocoa version has an enjoyably rich taste, although I do remember enjoying the blueberry much more. With 65mg of caffeine and 90 calories, this bar would make a great start to anyone’s day if they are looking for a low calorie, gluten-free, vegan option, spiked with some caffeine.
Bada Bean Bada Boom Broad Beans, 1oz - Buy a box of 24 for $24.99
Not to be dramatic, but this snack is a revelation! Flavors of garlic and onion are packed into these crunchy beans in the most satisfying way, and in just one small bag you have 7 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber and only 100 calories, which all adds up to the perfect snack! Hopefully, these little wonders will be restocked soon, because I am definitely going to order a few varieties.
Verdict: SnackSack was a huge hit for me this month! I fell for so many healthy snacks in this month’s Classic Box, and between sweet, savory and salty, SnackSack never fails to tick every box.
