Eau Efficace Makeup Remover, 1 fl oz - Estimated Value $12.38 (Buy a full size 10.1 oz for $125.00)

This is a pretty generous sample as far as this sub goes! It is a makeup remover with micellar water, which removes makeup with little to no effort Because it also has that Sisley magical blend of botanicals, you can also use it as a toner or even in a spritzer bottle for an on the go refreshing mist. It smells really lovely, like most of their products, though I personally can't imagine paying $125 for the full size when I could spend that $$$ on some of their other amazing products.

Sisley February 2019 anti age cream Sisley February 2019 anti age cream back

Sisleya L'Integral Anti-Age Creme Contour, 2 ml - Estimated Value $28.00 (Buy a full size 15 ml for $210.00)

I absolutely adore Siisleys Anti-Age line and this cream is interesting because you can use it on your eyes as well as lip contour area. It was super moisturizing and plumping in both areas for me, and the cream itself was rich and buttery. As far as Sisley products go, this one lacked any sort of amazing botanical scent and though it felt great and did its job, there are other creams from this line I prefer.

Sisley March 2019 eye mask Sisley March 2019 eye mask back

Sisley Eye Contour Mask, 3 ml - Estimated Value $14.50 (Buy a full size 30 ml for $145.00)

This is a really rick leave on mask that is cooling, easy to apply, and hydrating for your eye areas. As instructed by the booklet, I applied it all over my eyelid and then, after 10 minutes, gently wiped away the excess. Since you don't need water to rinse this mask off, I feel like it would be a really awesome formula for applying when you are traveling or on the go, and need a little moisture boost for tired eyes. I also left this on my undereye area overnight as a sleep mask and thought my eyes were really bright and supple looking in the morning.

Sisley March 2019 concealer Sisley March 2019 concealer back

Phyto-Cernes Eclat, 0.5 ml – Estimated Value $3.57 (Buy a full size 15 ml for $107.00)

This is basically a really high-quality concealer, though the color was way too orange for me to actually use. This is a little concerning since this was listed as #2, meaning the #1 would likely still be too warm or dark for my skin tone. The formula itself was silky and smooth, and I would recommend applying with a concealer brush for the best results.

So Intense Mascara, 1.5 ml - Estimated Value $13.40 (Buy a full size 7.5 ml for $67.00)

This mascara has quite a learning curve. You actually use the flat side to apply color to your lashes from root to tip, then flip the brush around and comb the lashes to distribute the pigment. You can apply in layers until you reach the length and thickness you prefer. I am probably not coordinated enough to really be someone who would buy into this type of application. It took longer and was messier, though my lashes did look great.

Verdict: Sisley this month was less of a wow for me than usual, but I still really enjoyed getting to sample the luxury formulas. My favorite would have to be the eye mask, though I wish I had gotten a larger sample I am glad the makeup remover size was generous though, as it will be going straight into my weekender kit. The concealer was not even remotely close to a shade I could ever wear, so that was a bust, but I liked experimenting with the mascara and the anti-aging cream left my skin feeling really nice.  This month had a value of $71.85, which is a great value for a $10 box, I just wasn't wow-ed this month.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

$125 makeup remover!?!?
Holy cats!!!
For that money it better jump off my counter and remove my makeup while I lay in bed and then do the dishes and put the kids to bed!
Ohhhh my goodness! I know it’s a pricey line, but dang it! Nope.

I love this subscription and noticed Sisley sometimes has specials on their site that would combine with the subscription. Once I get my product overload under control I will need to subscribe to this. I think that I’ll be able to have a treat every month without stockpiling samples.

You took the words out of my mouth! I canceled every subscription except Glossy because I’m annual and need to wait until Aug and only have Box of Style. After I use all the product overload I’ll be subbing to this. I can’t wait to try Sisley!

I have a bit of backlog of those eye contour masks which I will be using once I finish up a Darphin eye cream that’s labeled as an eye mask. I plan on using it just like the one I’m using now… basically as an eye cream on my masking day. There’s no way I’m wasting any of that expensive cream by wiping off any excess! lol! Also, being .11oz that seems like quite a bit that will last me quite a while.

That mascara brush does look interesting, but I think I’ll skip using the smooth side, and just start swiping with the brush side. The only thing I’m not looking forward to is that I’ll have to be very aware of when I apply this mascara to ensure I’m using the brush side at all times since I’m used to just pulling out the wand and swiping away until I get the desired look I want.

The eye mask was my fave I think. And totally agree on not wiping off that extra. Are they nuts?

I am ready to admit that the mascara is smarter than I am.

I have a huge stockpile of those eye masks packets too. I think I even have some in tubes. I need to get better about using them. I LOVE the mascara! I don’t use the flat side. I just brush on and it looks fabulous. No clumps or globs. Sisley is in my top 3 subs. It’s so worth it even with tiny samples.

Randi Myers

Hi Megan, I always enjoy your reviews!
I wanted to say that I did interpret the mascara application a bit differently and had great results. I used the flat side to push up my lashes and apply the mascara to just the base. Then I flipped the brush and pulled the mascara up. I ended up with full, lush lashes that lasted all day. That brush is weird and I’d definitely prefer to use the formula with a regular mascara brush. BTW—that eye mask?!? Love it!

Thanks so much Randi! Ths is a good tip. I think I just don’t have the patience for that fancy brush. I would LOVE that formula with a normal one though. Genius.
