PinkSeoul Box March/April 2019 Review

Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type, so be sure to figure out your skin type.

PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Info

Here is the info sheet detailing the products.

PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Toner 1 PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Toner 2

Max Clinic Age-Defying Intensive Toner, 4.4 oz – Retail Value $50

Wow, talk about a pricy toner! This anti-aging toner is non-sticky and made with EGF (a polypeptide chain of amino acids) and Volufiline, which is an ingredient designed to boost elasticity in the skin. This definitely adds layers of hydration without making your skin feel heavy, and this large bottle should last a long time even when used twice a day.

PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Innisfree

Innisfree Jeju Life Perfumed Hand Cream in January, 1 oz – Retail Value $5

I really like Innisfree, and I haven’t tried this hand cream before. The scent “January” smells like fresh laundry, and while that is not usually what I reach for in a hand cream, I like it. This is hydrating and non-greasy, so it now lives in my purse for on-the-go hand moisture.

PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Etude House

Etude House Monster Micellar Cleansing Water, 0.84 oz – Estimated Value $0.65 (Buy the 100 mL bottle for $2.60)

This micellar water is made with aloe, bamboo, and green tea to be nourishing while cleansing your skin. I enjoyed how gentle this was, too. My sample actually spilled a bit in transit, and I could not have been happier with the customer service when I reached out. While none of the products were ruined, they immediately shipped an entire replacement box. It is nice to know that if accidents happen with this box, the PinkSeoul customer service team will make it right quickly.

PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Blackhead 1 PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Blackhead 2 PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Blackhead 3

G9 Skin It Clean Blackhead Oil Gel, 1.7 oz – Retail Value $10

This gel is interesting! You apply it onto dry skin and rub it in before adding lukewarm water to rinse it away, and the gel removes any sebum or clogged pores on your nose. I don’t get too many blackheads, but I do think this helps to keep my nose clear. Plus, this is definitely the least painful blackhead treatment I have tried—no ripping required!

This item was also included in this month's PinkSeoul Plus box (review coming soon!)

PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Noni 1 PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Noni 2

G9 Skin Noni Cleansing Bar – Retail Value $12

This cleansing bar didn't do it for me. I don't like bars for my face because they usually look ugly chilling on the side of my bathtub (sorry not sorry), and this is made with coconut oil which I abstain from using on my face since it is comedogenic. This does also have jojoba oil for hydration, and it wasn’t a harsh cleanser, but it wasn’t for me.

This item was also included in this month's PinkSeoul Plus box (review coming soon!)

PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Seantree

Seantree Green Tea Mask Sheet – Retail Value $2

This sheet mask is made with green tea extract to soothe skin and help balance it. This wasn’t anything groundbreaking, but it was a solid $2 sheet mask that my skin enjoyed for the 15 minutes I wore it.

This item was also included in this month's PinkSeoul Plus box (review coming soon!)

PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Peripera

Peripera Smoothie Time Mask in Lime – Retail Value $3

These masks have fun and attractive packaging, but I thought the actual performance was a bit lackluster. While there was nothing particularly wrong about them, they didn’t really impress me. They added the standard boost of hydration all sheet masks provide, and that is about it.

PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Eyeshadow 1 PinkSeoul Box March April 2019 - Eyeshadow 2

The Saem Saemmul Dual-Tip Eyeshadow in Chai Tea – Retail Value $10

This dual-ended eyeshadow stick has eyeshadow in the cap that a spongey wand dips into. The shade Chai Tea features a shimmering yellow gold eyeshadow on one end and a shimmering gold brown on the other. The packaging on this makes it a great eyeshadow to throw in your makeup bag for travel--no other brushes necessary!

This item was also included in this month's PinkSeoul Plus box (review coming soon!)

The Verdict: PinkSeoul is one of my favorite boxes to receive because I know I can expect several full-size items suited specifically to my skin’s needs. This month was no exception, and I am enjoying using my new toner and the blackhead gel. Pink Seoul promises a value of $60 in this box, and this month they met that promise with a total value of $92.65.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The March/April box is currently sold out, but you can sign up for the May/June box here.

It’s nice that they have great customer service but it feels welrd when they’re already sending complimentary boxes for reviews. I’m probably alone in feeling this way.

Just yesterday I gave away a similar blackhead gel/oil like the one in this box (just a different brand). It actually was very effective, but I just didn’t like the process of using it (needing to massage it on the nose for 3 minutes), so I found myself constantly (subconsciously?) forgetting to use it. I think I’ll stick to nose strips on my masking day.

Your experience with Pink Seoul’s CS was just like the one I recently had with Dermstore. My Beauty Fix box this month was missing the Caudalie Grape Water which I was pretty bummed about since I really wanted to try it. Since it was a product I was really looking forward to trying I decided to pursue getting the missing item sent to me. I did a chat with their CS on their site, and in less than 5 minutes they stated they were going to ship a whole box to me free of charge!! I was floored since I was only asking for them to send the missing item. And the same day I already had a shipping email, and they even gave me additional points to my account as if I had purchased that extra box too! Talk about going above & beyond!

Miss Pippa

Great review. Pink Seoul is so tempting. I find I am really enjoying my K beauty products more than many others.

I just got caught up in the Ipsy Glam Bag Plus hysteria & added it in addition to reg. Ipsy. Unless it really blows my mind I will probably cancel IGBP & go with Pink Seoul Plus.

Would love to know what is in their boxes for dry skin.

I completely agree with Jessica, that PinkSeoul has amazing customer service! They always reply to emails super fast and go out of there way to make sure you’re happy! I’ve tried several K-beauty subs and my PinkSeoul Plus box is hands down my favorite and the only one that I currently sub to! I recommend this sub to anyone interested in K-beauty skincare!

It depends on the coconut oil as to whether it’s comedogenic. Virgin coconut oil which I use is non comedogenic

Use the soap for a body bar. Whenever I get products that I don’t really care for, I just use them as body products!
