PinkSeoul Mask March 2019 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out what your skin type is!
Here is the info sheet for this month’s box.
G9 Skin Noni Cleansing Bar – Retail Value $12
This cleansing bar didn't do it for me- I don't like bars for my face because they are usually ugly chilling on the side of my bathtub (sorry not sorry), and this is made with coconut oil which I abstain from using on my face since it is comedogenic. This does also have jojoba oil for hydration, and while it wasn’t a harsh cleanser, it wasn’t for me.
Barulab 7 in 1 Blue Aqua Mask – Retail Value $5
This mask wasn't my favorite- the sheet is so thin that it tore easily and was hard to unfold, and since it was so thin it also dried out before I was ready to take it off.
Petitfee Dry Essence Foot Pack – Retail Value $4
I am always happy to receive a non-traditional mask in this subscription, and this dry essence foot pack nourished and softened my feet without making them feel slick with lotion. Sandal season is almost fully upon us, and I need all of the help I can get to get my toes in tip-top shape.
G9 Skin Self Aesthetic Water-Full Facial Mask – Retail Value $4
This mask fit my face really well and was cooling the entire time I wore it. This has nine different herbal extracts to soothe stressed skin, and I would say my skin looked and felt calmer after wearing.
G9 Skin Slice Sheet Mask in Peach – Retail Value $3
G9 Skin Slice Sheet Mask in Strawberry – Retail Value $3
Slice sheet masks are not new to me, but I think you’re either going to love or hate them. You’ll love how cute and fun they are, and that you can use them on targeted spots. Or you’ll hate that it can be awkward to use every slice at once, and these dry out quicker than a traditional sheet mask. I am on team love because they’re fun, and each slice actually looks like their respective fruit! They also smell great, and I LOVE that they come in a zippered pouch (most slice masks don’t) so you don’t have that pressure to use all of them at once.
G9 Skin Milk Bomb Mask in Chocolate – Retail Value $4
G9 Skin Milk Bomb Mask in Strawberry – Retail Value $4
I have used these masks before and I am happy to see them again- they’re fun! The chocolate version smells like chocolate and is made with milk protein to nourish and soothe your skin, while the strawberry version smells like strawberry and is designed to moisturize and brighten.
Wellderma Black Pearl Ampoule Mask – Estimated Value $3 (buy a box of 10 for $30)
Wellderma Tea Tree Soothing Ampoule Mask - Estimated Value $3 (buy a box of 10 for $30)
These were two solid masks. The black pearl version is made with activated charcoal powder and honey, and the tea tree version is made with (you guessed it) tea tree. Both masks fit the contours of my face well and were heaven for my sore, active breakouts when combined with a cold jade roller.
Tony Moly AC Control Spot Patch – Retail Value $4
This contains 12 patches that can help heal blemishes thanks to ingredients like sage and Centella Asiatica. I didn’t really like these- I do think they helped my pimples come to a head, but my skin felt irritated when I removed them after leaving them on overnight.
The Verdict: As usual this was another great month from PinkSeoul, and I appreciated the various traditional and non-traditional masks sent this month. The noni cleansing bar was my least favorite item in the box, but considering that was the accessory item for the month it didn’t detract from the overall experience. Value-wise, this box had a total value of $49.
