I added on the
-HUDA palette
– HUDA Lipstick In girlfriend
and
– VASANTI blended out brush

total was $29

I am wondering if the HUDA palette is the mini version or full version, can anyone confirm which?

Rachael

It’s the full palette but the palette is the size of a compact.

After 6 months of subscribing to Ipsy I finally caved and got add-ons for the first time! I added:

-Balmjour Lip Stain in Namaste!
-Laura Sanchez Eyeshadow in Rose Gold Woman

The color of that eyeshadow looks like the EXACT color I want for Spring! I am getting another color (Konnichiwa!) of the Balmjour lip stain in my regular bag, but I love products from The Balm and both colors are so pretty!

I added the Huda lipstick in Crush.

I wish ipsy gave us some kind of rewards points for dollars spent each month… something, ya know? In the past 2 weeks I’ve already spent about $150.00 with them and some kind of rewards points (like Birchbox or sephora does) would be cool.

I made a big boo boo with my add on order- I bought the ofra highlighter not realizing that I not only already have it in the full glow pro palette. but also found that I already had it in 2 compact forms. OOPS 🤪

KAT

I added on ofra rodeo highlighter bc it’s so pretty and a staple in my regimen and goes for $25.00 so $12.00 is a good buy and the balm in salut ! I’m happy 😁👍

Ipsy is killing it!!! It is as if they read my mind this month- I got every single item in my bag that I wanted- buxum mascara (which is one of my top 3 mascaras), theBalm LipJour, Tarte primer, contour brush and Moroccan lip balm. I love the add-ons aspect of the bag, too! Quite impressed, Ipsy! No longer a subscriber of Boxy or Sephora. Ipsy and Allure have held my interest from month to month!

The worst thing just happened to me! I added on the 111skin serum because a full size is like $350 and i couldn’t believe I could get a sample for $3. I’m almost out of my La Mer concentrate sample and im crushed and this is supposedly similar. My phone sometimes has a bad lag… and when clicked the 111skin to add on it didn’t do anything so i thought i mis-clicked. So I did it again, ultimately unclicking it and not realizing. I rushed to check out because this is my first time getting ipsy and idk how fast these things sell out. And now I’m learning you only get one chance for add ons. I suck! 😂 What a huge gigantic fail.

I think you lucked out 🙂
I received a sample of 111skin eye cream in my first ipsy bag several months ago. Despite the $100+ price tag, the eye cream was thinking and runny, and full of artificial chemicals. It was also made in China (it says made in PRC, in the hopes people won’t realize it stands for People’s Republic of China).

Dia

“thin,” not “thinking” 😆😆

Lilly

I have fun with the Add On samples. 😉

I have multiple bags and I got these items. All but one are samples:

IT Bye Bye Undereye concealer– This is a new grail item for me after trying a sample in another sub recently.

TonyMoly Peach Punch oil to foam facial cleanser ( love the oil to foam formulas!)

Purlisse Watermelon Energizing Aqua Balm

Purlisse Watermelon Energizing Peel and Polish

Tinted lip balms/ stains samples- 1 Seraphine and 2 TheBalm

TokyoMilk Blush Stick ( Only full sized product I selected)

I have a ridiculously fun time with the add ons. ” Kid in candy shop” ;).

Anyone know if you can change your add-ons after your order is placed? It’s my first month with ipsy, and I picked the ofra highlighter as one of my add-ons before realizing it was in my box too!

Reply ButtonReply

Lilly

No, sigh. I wanted to add a few items after seeing what all my Glam Bags had in them… didn’t realize the Add On charge is done one time only per account.
SO much fun to add samples, isn’t it? 😉

If it makes you feel any better, I added 2 products which turned up in other Glam Bags once I previewed them, but I’ll like them all, so it’s all good. Just think of the extra as a backup product if you love it.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I don’t think you can on the site, but it might not hurt to email Ipsy to see if you can change something out.

Guess I’m glad I got the Ofra highlighter for $3 last month. I think Ipsy is still very much experimenting with add-ons, so we’re going to see some pricing inconsistencies and glitches with the website/app. The high volume of traffic at 6am every 2nd of the month might also contribute to some lag.

Anyhow, the only add-on I got was the Goldfaden eye cream. I don’t know if it’s any good, but I’m running low on my Okay eye cream, and this supposedly retails for $50+, so worth a try for $12.

Is the HIKARI COSMETICS Cream Pigment in Honeydew Add-on in the Deluxe Sample section full-sized?

Reply ButtonReply

Lilly

I don’t think it’s full sized, as I have the sample in one of my bags. * not sure it’s the same shade*.
Hope this helps. 😉

A few of the full size items I would of purchased ended up being in my box 🙂
I did purchase the balm lip stain and a huda liquid lip….the formula is my favorite and totally worth the $12.

While it was insanely awesome of them to offer the highlighter for $3 last month …..I’m guessing since Rodeo Drive is a cult favorite , they couldn’t get the same deal. That highlighter is my absolute favorite and totally worth $12. I hope people complaining about the price change doesn’t ruin them ever offering any other full size for $3 if they can.

One way or another I got the Ofra Rodeo Drive full size in a subscription box recently – not sure which box though :-).

And I have a lifetime supply of highlighters so much so that I checked “infrequent” or the equivalent of the new Ipsy questionnaire.

The questionnaire really seems to be working though as I didn’t get any class of items that I asked to be sent infrequently and got those types of items I specifically asked for so for the first time in many months, I am completely happy with my selection – the Goldfaden, Paris Hilton (while I would normally be meh to something from her, the reviews seem promising); the Benefits brow highlighter – intrigued because it is definitely something I don’t have. I already have the It cosmetics brush and it is great so I don’t want a duplicate – I use it to buff in my Feinty foundation and it really does give a makeup-less look – I had bad acne as a teen and so I have scarring (both ice pick and box car) and with a good primer – foundation – and this brush to finish it, the scarring really is minimized.

I also get the regular Ipsy and since there are more options for those boxes, the difference was even more obvious as

I’m struggling with these add-ons. On one hand, they’re amazing, so much so that it took me an HOUR this morning to finally decide on which ones I wanted. But also – it seems like there are a LOT of $3 add-ons that weren’t featured as being possibilities in this month’s regular glam bag. I only recognize a handful from spoilers and the “Improve Your Glam Bag” quiz. Obviously, not being spoiled doesn’t mean people won’t receive those items in their regular glam bag, but as someone who likes to finesse their profile every month in accordance with spoilers, it’s a bit aggravating (especially as I was seriously unimpressed by the products chosen for me this month). The other possibilities is that Ipsy is including add-on items that you can’t get in the bags, and that seems shady to me.

Anyway, despite promising myself I wouldn’t get sucked into $12 add-ons this month, I got the Violet Voss palette as I have serious FOMO from not getting it in January, the Tokyomilk blush stick, and the Jelly Pong Pong lip oil (which is a $3 add-on for regular glam bag members).

Reply ButtonReply

Flora

That usually happens to me too. I don’t like 3-4 of the products they choose for me but I liked the spoilers and end up spending on the add-ons. I’m glad they limit it to 3 add-ons per bag or my wallet would leak further! 🤑

MzBev

I love that little HG palette from January! I use it often. You won’t be disappointed!

Its doubtful that they will EVER spoil ALL add-ons and that isn’t shady at all. They still offer the surprise of it.

Nikki

I absolutely love the add ons!! I got the IIISkin serum, bye bye undereye, and Tarte primer!! So excited to try them 🙂

So the Full Sized OFRA Star Island was 3$ last month, previous FS Huda’s were also 3$. Now they are 12$. I have no issue paying 12$ for Huda or OFRA, but it seems like there is no rhyme or reason? I wish they would remain consistent in that regard (either keep the OFRA’s and Huda’s at 12$ if they are FS or keep them 3$). I understand that the value is still amazing. But kind of expected the 3$.

Regardless, I got the OFRA Rodeo drive since i swapped it from boxy years ago and had FOMO ever since lol.

I am going to speculate that it could depend on how they received them. Maybe they got a bunch of stuff for free and were able to sell them for super cheap (or maybe they needed to get rid of them?) and this time they had to pay for them. who knows.

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

One one hand, I’m annoyed because I got the Star Island as a $3 add-on last month and was planning to grab Rodeo Drive for $3 this month. OTOH, since I got Rodeo Drive as a $12 add-on January, I was going to be a little annoyed if it was $3 three months later. Ah, well, it made my add-on decisions slightly easier this month.

I was finally able to see my bags after trying a different browser (yay!… now I know what I need to do for next month if I’m unable to view my bags using my normal browser again)

The add ons I chose for my Plus & regular bags are:

Oribe Scalp Smoothing Treatment (both bags) – my mom *loves* Oribe, and this is something she hasn’t tried before so she’ll be stoked to get two of these.

Apto Mask with Blue Spirulina – I didn’t get this in my regular bag (which I was hoping for), and it looks like a fun mask to try.

111 Skin serum (both bags) – This was my sample pick for my regular bag, but to get two more samples for $6??? I couldn’t pass it up. Plus, I thought it was cool that it was still an add on for my regular bag even though it was already included! I always thought that add ons were items not included in your bag.

Purlisse Watermelon Peel & Polish – I really could have done without this one, but I guess I just wanted to take full advantage of add ons, and I’ve never received this before, plus I love the brand & trying new exfoliators so it was an easy pick for me.

It’s such a great idea ipsy decided to do… allowing add-on’s. This month, I added a Purlisse Watermelon Energizing Aqua Balm, to my Ipsy Plus. To my regular ipsy bag, I added a full size Purlisse Blue Lotus Balancing Moisturizer and another of the Watermelon Balm. Can you tell I love Purlisse items? 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Kim M

I love skin care and body butters so I added on Tonymoly Cleanser, Delectable by Cake Beauty body butter, and Purlisse watermelon aqua balm.

I am Confused by the comments. The star island option awas a sample size last time wasn’t it? This rodeo drive is full sized. Or did people actually receive full sized last time. I know it was a sample size shown on my options.

Reply ButtonReply

Cynthia

It was full size last month 🙁 they totally changed it this month and now wanted $12 instead of $3 for add on. I got it last month and was ready to buy another this month but no way!

Reply ButtonReply

Tasha

Oh ok, thanks…was it a refill or or a compact? The option shown to me was I the paper packaging like the samples come. I sure would have got it had I thought known it was full size. I didn’t get any addons last month.

Retpunzel

Really ipsy? Last two months the add-ons showed up at 7am est, this month it’s at 8am est. 😣

Nagging aside I got 2 of the oribe treatments ($48 RV). It’s the only add-on I wanted besides the goldfaden but that’s in my plus box already and I didn’t see it in my regular bag add-ons.

Imagine us poor west coast folks. I woke up at 6am, and it’s already been live for an hour 😆

Don’t forget the folks in Hawaii lol it was 2am 😛

stacy

i got the oribe for 12$ (retail 48)
it cosmetics bye bye undereye
111skin serum

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

I’m pretty surprised the Oribe isn’t a possible variant in the Glam Bag Plus. Is this the first time there’s been an add-on that wasn’t featured in any bag?

I’m hoprthis isn’t setting a precedent for making high-end items as add-ons only.

Reply ButtonReply

stacy

yes I was praying it was in the bag and wanted it so bad i love there shampoo and conditioner I knew I needed to try the scalp treatment retailed at 48$ but it wasn’t even a chance to get in the glam bag so had to pay 12 for it 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Karie

I get both the GBP and regular GB and I was able to do add ons for my GBP can I do add ons for the regular GB also, I’m not seeing a way to do that, thanks.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Yes, you should be able to do add ons for both bags. They were available the same way as the Ipsy Plus add ons, but just within the Glam Bag tab.

Reply ButtonReply

B

Do people really expect to pay only $3 for a $30-$35 highlighter?

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

That’s what it was last month, so, yes, there was every reason to expect it to be $3 this month, as well.

Reply ButtonReply

Deanne

I know! It’s amazing how quickly people become entitled.
