Do you need a code to receive the $10 credit? I don’t see anything on the FFF website offering that.

Well, I bit. I was thinking of upgrading anyway. I signed up under the code SECRET on April 12 for the mystery box and $10 off and now with thia upgrade to get the $10 credit PLUS annual members already get a savings of $20. That is a win/win for me. I am a picky person and to be able to customize and pick most of my items is amazing. I think this is my only sub box left now anyway.

I read it as annual gets customization and add on 3 days earlier than seasonal. Maybe I misread?

Ur correct!

Yes, that is what they started with the Spring box. Annuals also get to customize more items than seasonal.

“For the first time, Annual subscribers will be able to make their customization choices before season subscribers.”
This used to be the biggest perk to being an annual subscriber though, because season subscribers didn’t get to customize at all. Now it seems like they incentivize cancelling and re-subbing.

As far as I know annuals still get to customize more than seasonal. I think last box was 5 versus 2? That alone is still worth it to me. They added the additional perk that annuals get to customize EARLIER so they have a better chance of getting the items they want or to add on for ten dollars extra or whatever. That is a bonus perk I enjoy…along with the discount per box (although, granted, not as much as their new sub discount codes…but I don’t have the time or energy to keep resubbing with different emails).

But several years ago, annuals got to customize only 2-3 items, and they were the often variations of the same item. Boxes were more consistent, and felt more curated. And one of the biggest perks was the surprise. The anticipation, the reveal of unboxing. Finding new items you never would’ve bought for yourself. Now it just feels like we’re all scrambling to pick our favorite items out of a virtual TJ Maxx grab bag, and some of us will get a slight head start over others.

When do select members customization open?

I ordered using code “SECRET.” I wonder what the mystery bundle is.

RIGHT?! This is my fourth year with FFF and it’s really my only sub left. I still do BOTM, but it doesn’t really count. LLB went under, I managed to cut off PS, and the make-up bags (Ipsy, Birchbox, etc) weren’t hard to quit. FFF is the only one that still seemed worth it after so many years, but it’s getting harder and harder to justify paying for a full year up front.

What is the difference between an annual subscriber & a seasonal subscriber? I keep trying to customize my boxes, but I am getting nowhere!!! I am not techie at all & wonder if I’m missing something? I just cannot find any way to customize. It’s the same with Causebox- I want to customize the options that allow customization, but just cannot find any way to do it. Can anyone offer some advice? I wish there was a customer service phone number, so it would be simpler for me!!! Thanks in advance to anyone who would help me!!! J.R.

No doubt!! After a year of being annual now I’m seriously weighing the ‘benefits’ because in the last day or two before add ons close, everything is always available, only one or two items at most are truly scooped up for good. Otherwise besides the fun of having the early access there isn’t a ton of benefits. Picking your own contents for nearly the entire box might be the best thing about staying annual.

That’s really the only major benefit! But for me, it’s a pretty big one. I’m allergic or sensitive to a lot of really common skincare ingredients, and can’t do high impact exercises because of joint issues. So lots of the items offered don’t work for me!

Agh. BEING. Long day! 🙂
