I’m furious! They just now sent my stuff, and they did ***NOT*** send the “Toast to the Host” box! They sent me a bunch of little samples and maybe one full size deal. It’s all crap I’ve had before or don’t want. I’m waiting to hear back from CS.

The same thing just happened to me, and I am BEYOND unimpressed with this bait and switch! I got the same little bag of crappy samples and $36 dry shampoo. . The only reason I bought annual was for THIS box (which I’m now seeing is old AF) I just got off the phone with customer service and the girl was just talking me in circles in a baby voice, offering me socks or the old Smashbox palette as an “apology”. I was like you can credit my Birchbox account with $56 to honor the annual discount or send me the Toast box. Since those were the 2 promotions going on at that time. She’s like, we can’t do that. It’s the socks or palette *goes to talk to manager- comes back on the line* she can offer $10 in points on my birch account or a month free at the end of my sub next year (11 months from now). SERIOUSLY. I told her I will just cancel and re subscribe when another promotion comes up for $8-$10 box. I’m so irritated with this and the BAD solutions from customer service. It seems like common sense if there is 2 promotions and you run out of one, to honor the other one.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I am going through email and she offered to send me the “little bag of crappy samples.” I told her I already got that and don’t want that. So I’m probably just going to cancel, too. I sent one final question and then I’ll decide.
They definitely should have told us that they were out of the Toast to the Host box and asked what we wanted to do about it **before** they shipped us anything!

Seems their so desperate for subscribers wow ! With their 6 tiny , tiny trial sizes for the price they charge . There offering a 1.5 year old box ! Times are hard for BB – suggestion : step up your game ! Read what people want – it’s all about supply and demand and I would never resub to BB only subbed for a month and laughed at the box – oh well that’s why cancel options there and I never ever pay in advance for monthly or annual Subs if it goes south I jump ship lol

Ok, y’all are making me feel bad. I went ahead and did it. I want to gift the pineapple thingy to someone whom there is no way I would normally spend much money on, but for a deal, it’s worth it, and she will love it! I haven’t seen it in discount stores around here, but we live in a rural state and don’t necessarily have a ton of shopping nearby.
I don’t care about the gummies. I can either throw them out, or, if they are hard, I can suck on them. Didn’t really care that much for them to begin with, though. I don’t really know about the Davines OI Hand Balm going bad – I have tons of unopened old lotions, and I’ve never had a problem with one when I did open it. *shrug* PLus do you know how many 2 year old lotions are floating around on the swap site as it is?? The
Oribe Balmessence Lip Treatment isn’t as fantastic as I thought it would be, but now I can stash one at work as well as have one at home for an overnight balm. And it’s not like the Candle is going to go bad. For a freebie with purchase, I don’t think it’s a bad deal. Especially when I referred myself from another account! 😉

I have to imagine the lotion might not be good either…..
Such a flop and I feel really bad for anyone who isn’t aware that this LE is almost 2yrs old.

This LE was a flop from the day it launched but even still I’m surprised to see they have inventory of them a year and a half later. It’s a shame because I absolutely love everything in that LE except for the stupid pineapple cup which is where the bulk of the RV comes from. I know they were super hot like 3-4 years ago but by the time Birchbox released this box you could find them in any discount store for $12.

I really don’t care about the gummies, and I was ready to jump on this deal, but…..I was going to cancel my old subscription and start this one, but it will be $13 per month instead of $10, so over the course of just one year I would be paying an extra $36 already. :/ And then the extra $36 every year after that.

Eww. This box came out in October 2017. I agree those gummies will be nasty. Nope.

It’s a good gift with sub BUT that toast-for-the-host box is almost 1.5yrs old. I don’t think BB has bought ‘new’ gummies to replace the ones already included in the curated box. Be prepared for rock hard gummies ladies 😉

Are those gummies still edible?
Getting worried about the expiration date on that

Are the champagne bears rock hard yet?

Wow, they still have leftovers of that box? Seems a bit desperate.
