Bespoke Post is a monthly men’s subscription box. Unlike most subscription boxes, you get to preview the new Bespoke Post box offerings on the first of each month, and you can easily skip any month you aren’t interested in your account section. This month we received the ‘Rogue‘ box, which contains a denim jacket. My husband Will is always looking for lighter jackets to wear in the spring, especially for light yard work, fishing, taking our dogs outside, or cleaning out our chicken coop. I loved the idea of a denim jacket for him that is super durable for those activities but can also look great grabbing dinner.

This is a review of the ‘Rogue’ box, which is available for purchase!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Montana Denim Trucker Jacket – Retail Value $80.00

Will doesn’t actually own a denim jacket so I was really excited to bring this home and get his opinion. He loved that it was already soft and he didn’t need to break it in. He also appreciated that it was a thinner denim than some other jackets out there, meaning he could layer it easier and still wear it on slightly warmer days. He normally wears an XL in jackets, but we received an XXL, which I think was for the best because he likes to move around a lot in the yard and has little patience for clothing that limits movement. He liked the pockets because they let him stash drywall screws, utility knives, and other smaller things that are helpful to have closeby while he works around our house. Aside from comfort and function, I loved the 100% cotton darker denim, thoughtful seaming, and patterned inner pocket fabric.

This jacket is a bit big, but Will is the type that would rather have something be oversized and comfortable to move in over slim fitting, I suspect it might shrink a little in the wash, but even if it doesn’t he finds comfort more important.

I personally liked all the decorative seaming. Will has no opinion on such things.

I wasn’t joking about chickens. I actually interrupted his coop cleaning for these photos.

Denim for days.

Verdict: This Bespoke Post might have just contained my husband’s favorite new jacket. He loves that he can wear it and not have to be careful in it, like some of his other wool jackets. Denim jackets are supposed to have personality and along with that comes holes, scratches, patch jobs, all the good stuff. I personally look forward to stealing it when it is raining or chilly outside. Although it is a little oversized, I think it looks great and Will is comfortable. I am pretty pleased with it! This is a thinner denim jacket, so if you prefer those thicker, tougher ones, this might not be the jacket for you. If you want to buy one that already feels like you have been wearing it for years, this is a winner.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. There’s a sub box for chicken keepers. I would love to see a review with the chickens.

    • This is totally on my radar! Are you taking about Henny & Roo or is there another one?

  2. Fun fact, the double lines of stitching are actually quite utilitarian. Jeans (and othe denim garments) are put together with welt seams, every seam is stitched twice so the garment is stronger.
Sure, the traditional jeans yellow thread also looks nice, but it’s a form and function type thing!

    • With the way my husband works in his denim, the more stitches, the better!

  3. The Canadian Tuxedo is a hard look to pull off!

    • I feel like the look is more alluring with a chicken in hand. Or a puppy..
