The March box theme is the “Floral Ambrosia.” From Teabox:

Spring has set in and the winter has thawed. Well-rested and rejuvenated, life yawns, stretches, and jumps out of bed. It’s time to laugh, run and play. March sees fresh leaves, young shoots, buds and flowers peek and shrug off the cold. This month we have for you 5 incredible teas, floral and bright, that’ll make each of your days special and warm. There’s a beautiful greeting card too with a watercolor rendition by an artist from Darjeeling that’ll surely move you. Happy Spring and Happy Sipping!

Mountain Rose Black Tea - Buy 100 g for $21.99

I love rose teas so I was really excited about this one! I didn't expect to like the cardamom as much as I did, but it really gave this tea a ton of complexity and was a subdued counterpart to the floral rose petals. The black tea base was smooth and rich. I enjoyed it with almond milk and some raw sugar.

Mint Jubilee Green Tea

I was surprised to see fennel as an ingredient in this tea and a little skeptical! It really gives this bright green tea an extra botanical element that I liked very much, especially in combination with the spearmint and marigold flavors. I enjoyed this one with honey and it was delicious.

Nilgiri Jasmine Green - Buy 100 g for $12.99

Wow. This is one of my all-time favorite teas! In addition to being visually stunning, the green flavor of this tea was bursting and the hints of jasmine were the perfect compliment. It smelled like being in a flower covered meadow with sunshine. I loved this one alone, but you could also add a sweetener of your choice or even some lemon slices.

Calming Chamomile Green - Buy 100g for $7.99

This green tea was also really interesting and wonderful. It was delightfully smokey and toasted, but it had a bright green flavor and calming chamomile. The description of the palate includes "mineral" and it is hard to explain why but this complex green does indeed have a taste I would describe that way. It was delicious alone and with raw sugar.

Hibiscus Lush Herbal Tea - Buy 100g for $14.99

In terms of hibiscus teas, this was absolutely the mildest I have ever had and I think that s because there is a great balance between that tart hibiscus and citrus and the deeper flavors of licorice and fennel. It also has a smooth lemongrass finish. I tried this one alone hot and also iced with some sugar and both were tasty!

Verdict: My first Teabox was really impressive! There wasn't a single tea that I didn't really enjoy and I feel like there were quite a few unexpected elements in these blends such as fennel and cardamom. I am a floral tea addict, so this box truly couldn't have been more perfect. I am really taken with how beautiful each tea is straight out of the little bags. You can see each and every ingredient and flower! I do feel the need to mention that while this tea sub is on the pricier side, you literally get SO MUCH tea. I am really excited to see this box next month.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? It looks like it! Be sure to check the subscription page for the current theme.

Value Breakdown: At $39.99 per month, you’re paying around $0.67 per cup of tea depending on how much you brew at a time. I estimated this total for a total of 60 cups using 2.5 g per brew!

Love this review! I totally want this subscription but one month is a lot of teas. I guess if you have two cups a day you could use them up in a month. please keep reviewing. I am so tempted.
