Rocks Box March 2019 open

Upon subscribing, you'll take a "style survey," so Rocksbox can suggest jewelry pieces that fit your style. You can also browse their catalog and add pieces to your wish list. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your wishlist. I've been leaving my list empty so that Rocksbox can do all the picking for me.

Kendra Scott Aragon Earring in Silver and Ivory Mother of Pearl - Listed Value $80.00, Member Price $80.00

I love Kendra Scott pieces because of the focus on different types of gemstones and other natural elements at a decently attainable price. My only critique of this brand is that I wish they offered true sterling silver posts, but since these are either silver or gold coated, my sensitive ears are just barely bothered by the metals. I absolutely LOVE the style of these pearl pretties. The classic Kendra cut shape has been removed from its frame and dangles from a minimal geometric post. I dig that they are still pretty large, and how the pearl shield has movement. Something like this I would wear daily, so I am pretty smitten with them. No RocksBox discount on these, which is a little bit of a bummer.

Perry Street Imogen Statement Drops - Retail Value $60.00, Member Price $51.00

These are kind of a lot, but so am I! They remind me so much of the costume jewelry I used to collect in college and wear all the time, too formal or not. A little background: I wasn't allowed to pierce my ears until I was 18! Being a brat I totally did it myself when I was 17. You know, just to be difficult. Earrings have been my favorite jewelry to wear ever since. These would have been totally up my alley back then, and they still are now. The color combo of red, amethyst, jonquil, lilac, and blush is really unusual and unexpected, but works so well, especially set into the bright gold hardware. The little dangling spikes give these otherwise vintage earrings some modern edge. I feel like Blanche from the Golden Girls would have owned these. If you are a reasonable person, you would likely pair these with a sleek black outfit. If you are me, you pair them with a loud floral blazer, because why not?

Rudiment Zeitgeist Necklace - Listed Value $75.00, Member Price $63.00

I am nuts for anything celestial. Give me all the stars and moons and I am happy. This cute little necklace has a pair of gold-toned round tags each with CZ set stars and a moon. I really love delicate layering pieces like this because mixing and matching with other necklaces in your stash let you create a look that is 100% your own. These charms have a certain antique feel to them and feel timeless and classic. Because this is a pair of charms, it feels very chic and is effortlessly easy to wear with any look. I did notice that this particular piece was missing a little bit of the shiny coating on the metal on the tags.

The Verdict: I kind of want to keep every piece from this month's Rocksbox. I would easily get tons of wear out of each of these, as they each speak to a different side of my style. The Kendra Scott earrings are so modern and clean and would work for both daily wear and special occasions. The Perry Street earrings I would probably reserve for more formal occasions or a girl's night out. The little gold Rudiment necklace is an everyday/anytime sort of piece and the moon and stars are so on trend. The beauty of this sub is that I can hang on to them for as long as I like, and just swap them out when I am ready. If I decide I really can't live without something (*cough cough*) I can choose to buy them for the discounted member cost.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every box is different and packed based on the customer's tastes and what's available at the time. You can, however, give the Rocksbox stylists a nudge by adding your favorite pieces to your wishlist!

AH

Too funny you weren’t allowed to get your ears pierced and took matters into your own literal hands as well!!! I wasn’t allowed to get mine pierced until 14, and of course it was just one hole per side. So I started piercing one side myself (3 additional holes! For a grand total of 4) and I hid it from my mom for over 6 months, mainly with my very long hair lol. Once she discovered my secret, I said well then I guess it’s okay to finish up the other side!
Lol I feel like we are forever connected with our teenage shady ear piercings.
And earrings are my favorite as well! Love them, and I still rock my 4 holes per side.

Those Kendra Scott’s are everything. I always have a hard time gauging the lengths so kudos for the great pics.

You are welcome! I found out that that cut comes in a bunch of different stones/colors so now I am having a hard time not actually buying multiples.. it’s just so good!

Nancy

I thought I was the only one who couldn’t get their ears pierced til I was 18! How funny. I actually skipped school and Marilyn did it. Double bad. That was many years ago. More than I will admit. lol. I love the jewelry on you, you got style.

Oh my mom was MAAAAAD! It didn’t help my case that I also let a friend do it instead of a professional. Such rebels! Thanks for the sweet compliment Nancy! You guys are going to give me a big head!

You are too sweet Flora. I am shy when it comes to the camera so this comment made me feel great!

Apparently, the Kendra Scotts come in different stones and pearl colors… this is dangerous.
