Suppose I am also allowed to state an opinion, since people have diarrhea of the keyboard about companies owned by xyz or whatever…do what you want, but personally, information is valuable, but knowing what one does with that information is not.

My line in the sand was when the Lauder companies completely kicked BT out of HIS stores that he created. When he was threatened with arrest for just walking in a store that existed because of his creation. I no longer buy from the dozen(s) of companies bought on the cheap. Just do a google search for the number of companies that they own.

Thank you all in advance for providing background information on companies that were once privately held and managed as if their family were using the products. Let’s be nice to each other, though.

I’d like to see it reviewed.

Burt’s Bees got bought out by by Clorox. An easy no from me.

With all due respect, what’s wrong with Clorox?

Jen

Clorox isn’t exactly environmentally friendly like Burts Bees claims to be.

Mina

Wow! that’s sad Clorox bought out BB. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll definitely stop buying BB.

Agreed and I’m glad this was posted.

Virginia

I think you would be surprised to find out what certain companies own. I hope you don’t buy Tide products because they are owned by Shell Oil Company. I really don’t think you will find any bleach in Burt’s Bees products.

Lol Virginia Tide isn’t owned by Shell Oil lmao it’s owned by Procter and Gamble.

Reidy

Virgina- could you be anymore patronizing and condescending? Why would you think for a second you know more than she does regarding corporations?

Debby J.

Tide is owned by Procter & Gamble…

Jen

Cigarette companies own more companies than most people realize as well. So even the most anti smoking crusaders are probably lining the tobacco industries pockets. I personally don’t care who owns Burt Bees.

SquirrelyGirl

I do more research than you give me credit for and I absolutely do eliminate products whose parent companies have questionable ethics. No, I do not use Tide. I also don’t buy Peet’s because they got bought out by a rodenticide corporation and I am a wildlife rescuer/rehabber. These are things that matter to me and I posted because not many people are aware that B.B. is owned by Clorox and that information might matter to them too. I did not suggest that Burt’s Bees has Clorox in it…

Cute box design!

The photo doesn’t contain all of the products in the box. If you read the description it says the items that are included. I happily ordered my box.

Cookie

According to the link, they’re full size products and the total value is $90.

Even full sized I love burt’s bees but anything I can find at CVS seems laughable at $50. They probably should have done two boxes at half the products but themed and $20/$25 a box.

Depends how much you like the brand. 13 products. If you went to buy them at the drustore, you’d spend way more than $50 IF you would actually want all the items. If not, and only a couple appeal to you, then of course you wouldn’t do it. BB is kind of expensive for the drugstore.

Doesn’t look worth $50 from this photo, but those can’t be full size. I wish there was more from their makeup line besides lip products.

Delia

I agree they look small… especially with the $50 price tag

Tjhanna

Are these full sized? They look like deluxe samples.

Jessica

The description on the product page says full size
