KoKoStyle is a monthly K-Beauty subscription box from KoKoBox. Good to Know: This box will occasionally include skin tone specific makeup like BB creams and foundation, so when you subscribe you choose between light beige and dark beige. However, KoKoStyle acknowledges that doesn't work for everyone:

“Korean makeup can be quite limited for darker skin tones. If you use a darker foundation, please send us a message and we will put an alternative item of the same value in your box.”

KoKoStyle February 2019 - Info Sheet Top

Here is the info sheet for this month’s box. As you can see from the photos, I received more items than the ones shown on the info sheet. This happens often in my boxes from them, and I am not sure if I am getting the deluxe box by mistake or if they just throw in extras for fun.

KoKoStyle February 2019 - Eyenlip First Magic Ampoule In Cica And Collagen Front

Eyenlip First Magic Ampoule in Cica, 13 mL – Retail Value $0.99

Eyenlip First Magic Ampoule in Collagen, 13 mL – Retail Value $0.99

The idea behind Eyenlip is stripping away gimmicky packaging and promises and providing simple products that are effective. The cica ampoule is made with madecassoside, a derivative of Centella that is great for soothing and calming skin. The collagen ampoule is made with hydrolyzed collagen and trehalose to revitalize and moisturize skin. A little bit of this goes a long way, and to use layer it in your routine after your toner and before your serum. I am trying to get better about using ampoules consistently in my routine because they are more concentrated than your regular serums, so these two arrived at the perfect time.

KoKoStyle February 2019 - OnePoint Nature Multi Clear Sensitive Cream Front KoKoStyle February 2019 - OnePoint Nature Multi Clear Sensitive Cream Open Front

OnePoint Nature Multi Clear Sensitive Cream, 1.7 oz – Retail Value $22.50 (found here for $11.90)

This moisturizer has green tea water as the first ingredient, and it is also made with green tea extract, aloe vera, allantoin, and licorice extract. This is designed to provide moisture to oily skin without being heavy, and green tea is great for oily skin! I thought this sank into my skin quickly, and I like that it didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy.

BBia Jewel Shadow in Busan Starry Night – Retail Value $8.90

This gold glittery eyeshadow is so pretty! It has a spongy texture, so a dry swatch effused the sparkle for a soft glittery look. If I went with wet fingers, however, the sparkle would really shine. My eyeshadow arrived broken, but a quick email to customer service had a replacement shadow in the mail to me the next day.

KoKoStyle February 2019 - Eglips Blur Powder Pact Lavender Edition Top KoKoStyle February 2019 - Eglips Blur Powder Pact Lavender Edition Open Top 1 KoKoStyle February 2019 - Eglips Blur Powder Pact Lavender Edition Open Top 2

Eglips Blur Powder Pact Lavender Edition – Retail Value $12.90 (found here for $12.26)

This powder is designed to blur pores thanks to tiny pearl particles and lavender extract, and I find the packaging to be quite charming. Unfortunately, when I used this on my nose and cheeks as a mid-day pick me up, it oxidized quickly and actually made my pores look bigger. Yikes!

KoKoStyle February 2019 - Eunyul Green Tea Mask Top

Eunyul Green Tea Mask – Retail Value $1.49

More green tea! Unfortunately, this sheet mask didn't excite me as much as the moisturizer did- it has alcohol pretty high up on the ingredient list, which is an ingredient I try to avoid. The 15 minutes you wear this sheet mask probably won't actually do anything to harm your skin, but I'll pass this mask along to a friend who isn't as prone to redness and skin sensitivity as I am.

KoKoStyle February 2019 - Mamonde Rose Water Front KoKoStyle February 2019 - Mamonde Rose Water Open Front

Mamonde Rose Water 2-Step Kit

I found the rose toner included in this set available for sale at Ulta and the full-size gel cream here. I wish it was easier to find this set, though, because I absolutely loved it. Rose in skincare always agrees with my skin, and this toner and moisturizer was no exception- I woke up the next day after using with my skin soft and glowing. The rose scent was subtle, and I personally loved it. Both the toner and moisturizer are also free of drying alcohols, which can pop up frequently in products, even ones that are designed to be “soothing.”

KoKoStyle February 2019 - Bonus Line Friends Notebook Top KoKoStyle February 2019 - Bonus Line Friends Notebook Inside

Bonus! Line Friends Notebook

As a bonus gift, all February subscribers received this cute little animal notebook. The notebook is small, but look at that cute bear face!

Verdict: KoKoStyle is one of my favorite monthly K-Beauty boxes—they always do a great job of including full-size skincare options, and I always feel like you get a good deal for the price you pay. The Mamonde rose water set was definitely my favorite item in the box, so I wish I could understand better why sometimes these boxes include more items than what’s on the info sheet. That being said, this box has a value of $47.77 for everything except the Mamonde trio, so maybe the extras were included to bump up the value?

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, the next box you will receive is March's.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $29.99 + free shipping, which means that each of the 6 items (counting the two ampoules as one) in the box has an average cost of $4.99

Jessica, you were the one that reviewed a pop culture box about the movie “Heathers” right? I can’t for the life of me remember what the box is called! Please let me know if you have any idea what I’m talking about XD

I tried to reply earlier, but my comment didn’t post. I believe you are referring to the Cult Pop Box review from January. It looked like a lot of fun!

Hi Nina!
I’m sorry, I don’t think I’m the reviewer you’re looking for. That doesn’t sound familiar.
