Harney & Sons is a fine tea company that offers two tea of the month subscriptions: a Premium Loose Tea Box, and a Premium Sachet Tea Box.

A few individually packed bags of tea are included as well. I love throwing these in my purse to have on hand, as the tea selections at the coffee shop at school are a bit subpar.

Chocolate Tea Tin, 20 sachets – Retail Value $5.99 (on sale here for $5)

This is made with a base of China black tea and chocolate flavoring, and it really does smell like chocolate. This is caffeinated and I found it to be a good afternoon pick me up that didn't leave me feeling jittery the way coffee can. This with a dash of half and half and one sugar cube tasted a lot like an adult chocolate milk (with way fewer calories!).

Valentine’s Blend Tea Tin, 20 sachets – Retail Value $10

This is the same chocolate tea base as above, only with the addition of rosebuds. I thought the tea itself was beautiful, and the rose aroma was an interesting flavor with the chocolate tea. For my tastes, I drank this with a dash of half and half, and it really did feel like a dessert drink.

The Verdict: This was a fun February box- I have never had chocolate tea before, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. Chocolate tea isn’t my new favorite, but I do like how it tasted like a special dessert drink without having a ton of calories. One of the beautiful things about this subscription is getting to try new teas at a discount, and this month they definitely delivered.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? No, the March box is now shipping.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $14 with free shipping which means I saved about $2 off my tea tins, not included the free samples.

The Valentine’s Day Blend is divine! My new favorite tea! The rosebuds somehow enhance the chocolate – I think it actually tastes more chocolatey than the regular chocolate tea.

Their site makes it seem like you have to sign up for a 12-month subscription. Jessica, do you know if that’s accurate?

Hi Amy!
I reached out to customer service and asked. You can cancel your subscription at any time, but you do have to call customer care to do is.
Hope this helps!

Do they have an option to do decaf only?

I love Harney & Sons. Didn’t know they had a tea of month club. The sample of Roobios Chai is one of my favs along with their Irish Breakfast and oolongs teas. I need to check this out.

I live just a few miles from Harney and Sons and they have a lovely tea shop and area where they sell the tea itself. The selection is truly amazing! I love that they have their own subscription box … seems like the perfect gift for “tea lovers”!

As always, i enjoyed your review Jessica.

I love their Chocolate tea. I’m Keto so I add a little whipping cream to this and it’s my hot chocolate this winter!
I just buy off their site when they are having sales. So many choices.
