YENSA Tone Up Primer, 0.24 fl oz Deluxe Travel Size - Retail Value $15.00

This little tube is filled with a pale pink/tan formula that was a little thicker/heavier than some others I have tried. It did a great job of smoothing out some of my skins unwanted texture and evening out my skin tone. I liked that this stuff didn't have shimmer, but still somehow made my skin look brighter and more radiant. I feel like this is one of those primers that I could wear alone n the summer, which makes me wish it contained sunscreen because then it would be legit perfect for easy dewy summer skin! I don't mind using my fave sunscreen underneath though, because I liked this stuff enough to take that extra step.

DWNT Paris Eau De Teint Highlighter, 20 ml - Estimated Value $11.31 (Buy a full size 50 ml here for $28.27)

I feel like over the past few months I have found so many warmer highlighters that will work with my fair skin if I use them lightly. This bodes for great summer skin for me! This French formula is more golden than I would reach for on my own, but to my pleasant surprise it is super subtle when used lightly and it is very smooth when you blend it into your already set makeup. It will also make an excellent summer highlighter on bare skin. You can even use this pretty shade to highlight your legs for those sundresses! It leaves no oiliness really or any other texture behind and dries immediately upon rubbing it onto your skin.

I always tent to swatch heavy, so this does look orange. But I swear it works on my skin when I don't apply as much!

Nuria Rebalancing Cleanser, 6.8 fl oz - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $26.00

(This is a variant item. All subscribers will get this or the Nuria Purifying Cleanser)

I LOVE getting full-size facial cleansers in boxes. It is just one of those things that gets me really excited. This is likely because I double cleanse and I like having a large assortment of formulas to mix and match. This cleanser is actually created to be part of a double cleanse and is the balancing second step. Not a double cleanser? No worries, it also works awesome on its own! It has a beautiful mandarin scent and also mandarin extract, seaweed extract, rosehip oil, and rice water. It left my skin feeling very soft and calm. I also really dig the minimal packaging with really pretty color choices. It also comes with a little cap to use if you plan on traveling.

I love this brand because their products always smell nice and they seem to really get my minimal effort hair routine. This is a heavier leave in conditioner, so I actually used it on hair I had only shampooed and I skipped my traditional conditioner. I then slept on it wet because I do not own a hairdryer. When I woke up, my strands had this great natural wave that looked very beachy, and almost as if I had styled it! Winning! A little went a long way, even in my thick hair, so this sample will last me a little while.

GlossyBox March 2019 manna kadar mascara GlossyBox March 2019 manna kadar mascara open

Manna Kadar Beauty Bloom Volumizing Mascara, 10 ml - FULL SIZE Retail Value $29.00

(This might be a variant item.)

I don't seem to have a ton of luck with this brand. I know some people really love it, so it might just be me. The main selling point of this mascara is the wand, which I found to be really clumpy and messy. There was literally so much mascara on the base of the bristles each time I pulled it from the tube, I had to wipe them away or it would have been all over my eyelid/eye. It was almost like the tube stopper wasn't doing its job of removing the excess product before it left the tube. There were also so many lengthening fibers in the formula I found it offputting. After I removed the excess, this mascara did make my lashes look longer, but there was really no volume benefit, at least for me.

Verdict: GlossyBox scored some major points with that full-size cleanser this month! I really love it. I also am very happy with the highlighter, primer, and leave in conditioner. The mascara was a total bust for me, but I always appreciate when a full-size product is included in a box, even if it isn't for me. This month had a value of around $95.31, which is great for a $21 box. Generally speaking, this box tends to always deliver on value, even if there is a dud in it!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

For some reason my comments do not show. The link you have for the dwtn paris is the the “water of complexion” not the highlighter. There is a big difference in price as well! Correct me if I’m wrong! Hopefully *this* comment goes through.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the link you provided for the dwtn paris is to the “water of complexion” not highlighter. You can tell by the cap. Unsure if it will go thru but I am adding the link for the highlighter. There is a difference in price. But like I said, please, correct me if I’m wrong!

My previous comments never showed up. I’m not trying to beat a dead horse (they’ll probably all come through now and I’ll look like an obsessed weirdo), but the product flyer shows that the highlighter is $25. The item linked to above is incorrect and does have a lower value, but that is not the item received. Now, do I think it’s worth $25? Ummm, no.

Melissa

HIghlighter is $25, not $11 and some change.

Melissa

I’m really tired of my comments being filtered out for no apparent reason. Anyway, the brochure clearly states that the highlighter item is $25. The item linked to above is the wrong item.

Ok, several things.
1. How on earth did I get my Glossybox by the 8th of the month? It is usually one of the last boxes I get each month.
2. Apparently not many others have their boxes or they just aren’t swapping them because none of these items are on the swap site yet, and I really don’t feel like creating new listings. Ugh!
3. When the brochure tells us the values of the featured sizes, why are we not using those prices? For instance, the DWTN Paris *highlighter* says that is it featured size 20 ml/ featured value $25, but the review links to a 50 ml “eau de teint” which is not the same thing. The highlighter is 20 ml and is 22 Euros, which translates to $24.73 American dollars, so that is the value I am going to list it for.
4. For what it is worth, I got variation number 2, and it included the items as above *except* that I got the purifying cleanser, not the balancing cleanser.

Very happy I received the purifying cleanser because I don’t have acne prone skin. Makes up for the Mighty Patchs that I gave away last month. Ha!

I double cleanse and always run out of cleansers! I love trying new ones and I’ll run out to TJ Maxx and grab all the $4 K-beauty ones. 🙂 My box is supposed to come next week. This month there is only 2 versions and I’m getting #2.

Megan K.

Yes! Double cleanse life! I also tend to hoard likely the same K-beauty washes from TJs. The prices are so low its a no brainer.

Luna

I’m looking forward to this box. The only thing I’ll gift is the highlighter.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

It was a good one Luna! Which facewash are you getting?

Jessica

Ooooh, does the info mag say they’re going to do an LE box with Kiehls?? I would break my no buy for that.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

I think we would all be in trouble if they did an LE box. I adore Kiehls! More than likely, it is a featured product, but hey, crazier things have happened!

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I read it as a Kiehl’s product would be in next month’s box, but a Kiehl’s LE box would be cool!

Reply ButtonReply

Kellie

I read it that way also. I love Kiehls so I am really excited about this.

Nina

Ya I’m always happy with my Glossybox. The value is there and they do such a beautiful job with the packaging that I’ve held onto this sub

Megan K.

The packaging is perfection. It always feels really special and fancy.

Kris

Although in the past I had swore off ever subbing to this box due to horrible customer service, I am extremely tempted by the cleanser that’s included. Decisions…decisions….

Reply ButtonReply

LORI

Agreed! I thought I was so set on my favorite cleanser for the longest time, but I have come to find several I love even more through boxes (looking at you Farmacy and Boscia)!

Reply ButtonReply

Niikki

Farmacy is the best cleanser. So worth it. I didn’t realize how important cleansers were until I found that one

Megan K.

I am also a Boscia enthusiast! <3

TK

Me too…I love getting cleansers. I wish more boxes would include them instead of all the masks.

Megan K.

THIS^ I get mask boxes for masks. Give me all the weird cleansers!
