My order on a “past box” deal from Feb 5 has not shipped yet.

Hope you receive your item. I tried to start a sub with this company and never received anything. I was given a tracking # and told to make a claim with USPS. (I question if USPS ever even received my box since the tracking never showed it was accepted by USPS) Unfortunately making a claim myself was impossible and I had to repeatedly demand my $ back multiple times. I would never buy anything from them again.

I just got a bracelet and ring from them and they’re so cheap looking! Glad I got a one time purchase so I learned my lesson not to continue with them.

I just ordered the December box in silver, I hope it doesn’t look cheap 🙁

I loved their December (gold) + fully admit i’m a jewelry snob! always torn w/buying costume but really loved it + will be pretty in silver – it is what made me consider other boxes actually – also, signed up for the new pura vida jewelry (more so for daughter) but was told all 925 silver, hope that’s correct!

if we all liked the same things then there would be none left for anyone else! xx

So basically if you just order off the 70% off site and you do not sign up for a subscription you will only be charged for what you bought today I just want to make sure that I am not charged for a monthly fee because I’m hearing sketchy things about this company so I do not want to be charged a subscription unless I like it can someone please clarify this for me thank you so much

If you’re purchasing separate items by choosing what you want, you don’t start a subscription.

The 70%+ discount is on the original retail price of each of the past box pieces. The original price of $50 they sell them for on their website is already discounted and NOT the retail price of each piece. Hope this clears it up for everyone 🙂 I am a current subscriber and I will definitely not renew ever again! Even with a discount on the cost of my annual subscription, I still ended up paying more for each past box than $20. And got every single box, whether I liked the item or not. So you’re actually much worse off subscribing, instead of waiting for a 70% off sale and buying only the pieces you like. And the 20% off for subscribers that they advertise doesn’t apply to these sales, only to regular price items. And those regular priced items can be bought on sale for a better discount than 20% off.

thanks for info! very helpful!

I don’t get a lot of subs but it seems in general being a loyal annual is never the best way for a lot of subs; it’s too bad as would happily be annual if best price and prefer to be loyal but rather keep my benjamin’s! lol!

must be all in marketing to get new people but perhaps if they did opposite these co’s would make more by keeping more annuals!

saw email and it’s very deceiving as it says annual subs get extra 20% off, ugh

And, if you post a comment about E&C on facebook, you’ll get $5. credited towards your order! That covers the shipping charge! I still have to pay tax, but it’s still a good deal, too. I’ve been coveting that braided bracelet since it showed up!

Where did you get this? Couldn’t find it anywhere.

Before you buy I have some past boxes for swap.

Melissa

Exactly! These sales are driving down the swap value of our items. I say that with kind of a LOL but also kind of seriously.

Selling the gold braiding bracelet?

Melissa

Hmmm, I guess it can work the other way, too. I don’t really wear bracelets, but they had a bangle I really liked. I kept talking myself out of it. I looked through the swap site but couldn’t find a suitable swap partner for me to obtain the item from. Then I thought, “Hey, even if I buy it for $20 and decide I’ll never wear it, I can just swap it!” So bracelet will be on its way to me soon. Yay!

Do the non-box items ever go on sale? Because I really want that Melissandre silver cuff! Other than that, this really isn’t my style of jewelry, and I never would have got involved with them to begin with if Glossybox hadn’t offered a free box for their subscribers one month. Now $100s of dollars later here I am with a swap box full of jewelry I’ll never wear and that isn’t getting as many swap requests as I had anticipated. I can be really dumb sometimes. 🙁

Kristie

I bought the December box- I have been wanting to try it ever since I seen the review on here. I really like the ring and bangle style, I picked gold.

do monthly boxes go up after from $35 as 70% off would be $10.50? thx!

Dawn

Prices are on the website. The prices are generally around $60 to $70 per piece. I bought the “clover” Lou necklace for $24 50 shipped. I would love other pieces, but I am broke

Judy

That’s the only one I bought too….. love it!! 🙂

R

I believe they sell the past boxes (not subscription) for $50, so you get 70% ($30) off from that price.

Christy

Ah, gotcha.

carol

I find this confusing, too. I don’t think that the discount is off the $35. cost of a sub box; the boxes are $50. on their site, which says that the boxes will be $20. each. But, 70% off $50. means they’d be $15.
Anyone have the answer to this? Thanks!

Christy

Yeah. Math is hard, but it seems like this deal is not actually 70% off.
