Eat Train Cleanse February 2019 Review
Portable Drawstring Makeup Pouch – Retail Value $8.98
The first item I got in this month’s bag is this makeup bag. I have never seen one like this – it starts off pretty small and unfolds to a big mat.
It has two zippers for special items, such as jewelry or a card in case you don’t want to take your purse in with your gym bag.
The bag holds so much! I was able to put 3 of the other 4 items of my box in it, close it up and take it right along. This is seriously such a cool concept and great for a gym bag! Especially for touch up makeup, where I don’t need a whole lot so the bag stays on the small side. It is also super easy to unpack since I don’t really have to dig around anywhere.
SmartShake Pink Shaker Cup – Retail Value $10.00 (found here for $7.36)
When I initially saw this shaker, I thought this was a snackeez for adults.
It has a clip, perfect for attaching to a bike when I am ready to spin or take a ride out.
When taken apart, the cup consists of 6 pieces. Below I take the cup apart so I can show all the purposes of this cup.
This top part allows for a perfectly blended shake. This part is easily removable and easy to wash.
It sits perfectly on top of the cup, which holds about 12 ounces.
The bottom part of the cup has a removable separator that can hold dietary supplements or a snack such as berries. Or both! The insert will keep them separated. This part also twists off.
The final part of the bottle is a smaller cup for another snack. Personally, I think I will be using this cup for a breakfast parfait. Greek yogurt in the cup, granola and chia seeds (separated) in the middle cup, and berries at the bottom. The perfect cup for a morning snack, that I can wash out and use later in the day for my pre and post workout: water in the main cup, nuts in the middle cup and protein powder in the last cup.
Xtend Scivation Hydration Drink – Retail Value $4.44 (found here for $4.22)
I have never seen this drink before but when I exercised more often, I really wish I did. Recovery drinks are a super important step to any workout, and sometimes chugging down protein just doesn’t sound appealing, especially after a 2-hour work out consisting of spinning and stepping. This drink has no sugar and zero carbs and all the benefits of supporting muscle recovery. It wasn’t too sweet and was good room temperature or cold. This also comes in powder form, which can be found here.
Lineup Sports Aerobic Band – Retail Value $6.49
Aerobic bands are an amazing workout tool! You can use them for strength training or even incorporate them into yoga to help with some poses. The band I received in my box was a strong resistance band in a little plastic tube, perfect size for my gym bag without taking up space. I also appreciate the tube to keep it nice and folded.
Oh My Quad Towel
I loved this towel! It stood out when I opened the box and I kept my eye on it the whole time. Towels can be a gym item you do not want to forget. This one is perfect for spinning. It can hang perfectly over my handlebars while I spin my quads into shape. I especially love the blue print over the grey towel.
Verdict: I really liked this box. I have been out of the gym for some time now, since having my third baby and while I was pregnant, though I wish I didn’t walk out so easily. I loved spinning, yoga and step class and this box really made me want to get back into it and get my good habits going again. I absolutely think that Eat Train Cleanse would have kept me in the gym should I had subscribed when I hit it hard.
This box came with 5 items, 4 of which I was able to find values for which totaled $29.91. The box costs $39.99, so I am not totally convinced that the towel is worth $10.08, but if I had to guess it isn’t too far off. I do think the value is there with the curation of the box. I am curious to see future boxes to really determine if it continues to be worth the value.
