When you sign up, you take an in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and your pricing preferences. Your stylist hand picks items based on your preferences. Garments generally range from $50-$300.
Before your box ships, DAILYLOOK sends you a preview to your inbox, where you can remove up to 3 items per shipment and let them know why. If you do remove items, they'll select different ones to send you in that box, but you won't have the chance to preview them before they arrive. You also have the option of looking through their website and favoriting items that they will consider adding to your boxes. Their outfits are styled a variety of ways, and it's seriously so much fun to browse through them and make notes.
The fee for this service is $40, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $40 fee from the total. You can skip a month anytime.

DAILYLOOK March 2019 Review
I have reviewed a number of jewelry and lifestyle subscription boxes, but this is my first-ever clothing box:
Inside the shipping box, this signature blue box holds your clothes. When you take the lid off, you're greeted with an envelope.
Inside are a head's up about a discount you receive if you keep 2 or 3 items (designed with some of my favorite colors, I might add), a note from my stylist with instructions on what to do next, and a shipping label for any items I might want to return.
My stylist's name is Veronica, and she wrote me a note about why she chose to include some of the items in my box, as well as some styling suggestions. In my survey, I mentioned that I'm a new mother, and that I feel the rumblings of my personal style changing but that I'm not sure where it's going yet. So, some of the preferences I selected in my initial survey were a bit exploratory. I also mentioned that I'm breastfeeding, so tops and dresses with buttons, crop tops (to be worn with high-waisted pants and skirts and pulled up for nursing), and other types of creatively accessible garments are a must. I didn't say this outright, but I'll share with you that my goal in subscribing to DAILYLOOK isn't to overhaul my entire wardrobe—I still have a lot of pieces in my closet that I love and feel great wearing—it's more as a way of trying out styles someone else has selected with my preferences and needs in mind, to expose me to garments I might not have otherwise reached for myself. Depending on what I receive each month—how much I like it and how well it fits into my current selection—I expect to keep 1-3 pieces per month.
Under the clothes in my box, I found a packing slip that lists each item and the price it would cost to keep each. I received a total of 10 items this month. Along with it is a return shipping bag. You have five days to decide what you'd like to keep or return. Once I decided, I headed over to my online account to let DAILYLOOK know which items I'd be keeping vs. returning. It also gave me the opportunity to provide feedback on what I liked and disliked, with chances to rate the fit, style, quality, and more. For every item you choose to return, you must select at least one reason you didn't like it. Most of the items I returned were for quality—not so much that they were poor quality as they were made from synthetic fabrics, and I prefer natural fibers. But, I forgot to mention this in my survey so Veronica didn't know to style to that preference of mine! Once you've finalized your decisions and checked out, you have 7 days to return the items you're sending back using the provided shipping bag and pre-paid label.

Unexpected Waterfall Cardigan, Heather Grey - Cost to Keep: $88
The first item I pulled out of my box is this light heather grey cardigan. It's got ribbed sleeves and a drapey front. I styled it with an outfit of my own clothes that I might wear on an average day. One of my most-worn cardigans is a heather grey one and I don't feel like I need a second one, so I won't be keeping this sweater.
Savannah Front Knot Lightweight Jersey Knit, Heather Grey - Cost to Keep: $68
Another heather grey piece! Actually, I really like grey as a neutral and wear it often, so I was contented to see it well represented in my first box. Unfortunately, this top just didn't do it for me—its material wasn't great quality, and its length and knot detail accentuated my hips in a way I'm not exactly looking to do. It would probably have looked better with a sleek pair of skinnies, but it still didn't make the cut.
Off the Shoulder Puff Sleeve Top, Grey Multi - Cost to Keep: $54
I didn't think I'd like this grey woven top when I pulled it out of the box, but it's actually a really cool piece! I don't have a single off-shoulder garment in my wardrobe, so this was something new for me, but in a color that's in my wheelhouse. I absolutely love the pleated, puffed sleeve. In the end, it didn't fit me as flatteringly as I would have liked, so I opted to send it back—but only after much deliberation.
Gypsy Eyelet Midi Dress, Black - Cost to Keep: $117.50
This is the gem of the box, in my opinion, and a dress I adored from the moment I laid eyes on it! I love the simple, solid color (can't go wrong with black), the 100% cotton construction, the longer length, and the option to wear its neckline either up on my shoulders or off. The shirred bodice allows flexibility to breastfeed, too. I adore this piece and kept it. I felt it was a fair price—perhaps the best value of the box.
Statement Sleeve Sun Dress, Yellow - Cost to Keep: $53.50
This dress was something new for me, and I really didn't expect to like it, even though it ticked off the boxes of being a warm tone and having buttons down the front for nursing access. I was pleasantly surprised by it, but in the end, it simply didn't flatter my figure—it was a little too loose on the top, which explains why I didn't model it with its optional, adjustable straps removed. It was fun to try but I didn't keep it.
Marian Sweater Knit Long Cardigan, Black - Cost to Keep: $75
I'm so a fan of duster cardigans and I don't have a black one, so I was curious to see how this knit piece would feel on. I tossed it over the yellow dress because I do believe a long cardigan can go with anything at all, though given my current needs, I would likely wear it with jeans more often than with a dress. I strongly considered keeping this sweater, but didn't in the end, because its knit was a bit scratchy and artificial feeling, and because I don't particularly need a long, warm sweater going into spring.
J Brand Carolina Super High Rise Ankle Flare, Dark Blue - Cost to Keep: $117.50
Standing at a mere 5'3", I usually buy cropped jeans and they don't look cropped on me. That was the case for these cropped flares—they didn't have the effect of looking cropped, more like floods. I was expecting them to have a higher rise since they're called "super high rise," but they didn't fit me with a particularly high rise. I wanted these to work, but they weren't right for me.
Mystree Open Front Speckled Long Cardigan, Black Multi - Cost to Keep: $118
This sweater is cozy and thick—again, a piece that's hard to justify going into spring, but I might have felt differently had I received it a few months ago. I noticed Haley also got this sweater in last month's box!
Just Black Karly Mid Rise Cropped Skinny Jeans, Dark Blue - Cost to Keep: $88
Before I got the chance to try all of this month's clothes on, I spotted these jeans and had a good feeling about them. They looked nice 'n' short so I thought maybe the fit would truly be cropped on short little me! And, they kind of were, but barely. The denim is nice and dark, how I like it, and has a lot of stretch to it. I'm more of a break-your-jeans-in kind of gal, preferring a sturdier denim, but I know I'm in the minority there. Finally, I had another disagreement with the waistline rise claim—these are called mid-rise, but they seemed rather low to me. Maybe I'm just getting old, haha! Anyway, even though I liked the overall look of these jeans, between the rise, the stretch, and the not-quite-cropped cut on me, I decided to give them a pass.
Cindy Off Shoulder Tie Sleeves Top, Navy - Cost to Keep: $79
The final piece in my first DAILYLOOK box was this navy blue off-shoulder top. This is another one for the "pleasantly surprised" category, as it didn't look like much when I pulled it out of the box. I found the neckline to be flattering and the sleeve detail to be a fun touch. There's nothing really "wrong" with this top—I do like it—but as I held it up to several bottoms in my wardrobe, it just didn't feel like it fit in well enough to make the cut.
Verdict: Hooray for my first DAILYLOOK box! Like I said above, this was my first-ever clothing subscription box and after being curious about the process for years, I'm thrilled to finally be diving in. I felt heard and accommodated by my stylist, and as we continue to exchange communication through her styling me and my giving feedback, I'm sure her understanding of my style will only improve. This month, I decided to keep only one item: the black cotton eyelet dress. I can't wait to style it for spring! For my next box, I hope to see some more color (although grey is always welcome), some bottoms with a higher rise, and some more natural fabrics like cotton or linen, or blends.
