The first build contained 56 pieces and a detailed instruction insert explaining how to make a set of two bumper cars (colors vary). Since each car was only 28 pieces, these went together very quickly and only took a few minutes to assemble.

I can't lie, this bummed me out. At first, I double checked that I didn't miss a build – then read the card and saw that only the instructions were included. Since there are some special pieces that you may not have on hand included in this build, I do wish that this kit would have been included in the box. Offhand, I couldn't build the example – I would have to go purchase the pieces that I needed. I'm a grown woman and was disappointed, I imagine a kid would be even more upset!

HOOPS – Basketball Carnival Game

This was the largest and second build included this month, but still only included 70 pieces. It was a fun accessory to build and I liked the detail. I also like the little balls included so you could really play with this tiny arcade game if you like. Again though, it was pretty simple to assemble and only took me about 10 minutes.

Obviously, carnival games are more fun with flashing lights. This little LED light kit features 4 bulbs strung onto a small wire attached to a USB. They flicker in the same way that you typically see at carnivals – making the game look exciting! Obviously, it's difficult to capture the lighting movement in a still photo, so take my word, they are bright and will definitely draw attention to your carnival display.

Exclusive! Welcome to the Carnival $100 LEGO ® Minifigure

Each month an exclusive minifigure is included. This month, the carnival goer has an ice cream cone as big as his/her head!

Verdict: After a fantastic January box, I thought this was a little lackluster. I loved the theme and the items included, I just wish that we would have received the build kit for the carnival ticket booth. I think with that addition included this box would have felt like a better value.

It's difficult to calculate the exact value received due to the exclusive items. This box is $33 a month ($27 + $6 shipping) and I received 5 items. Considering them all equally it's like paying $6.60 per item. I think the value is OK, but my socks weren't knocked off this month. I do think that the theme would apply to a broad group of fun-loving builders though! I would have really loved to get the Ferris Wheel that I see listed on the website.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You’ll find the current available theme in their top banner of the website.

Hahahaha! Even without looking, I know how much the ferris wheel costs! We would ALL love that (well, those of us who are registered a detailed build). The roller coaster would be awesome, too!😁

Good review. While these builds are cute, I agree that other months have appeared more worth the value. Thanks for your review and opinion. I’m always on the fence with this box.
