I cancelled last month and was worried I’d regret it. I would never say Boxycharm is terrible because you get a great deal on some amazing makeup, however their lack of not having a mobile app, poor customer service and disappointing charm room is what made me leave.

I loved Boxycharm when I first started building my collection, but as time went on I seen a lot of repeat brands that just were not of interest. I think in a year alone I got 3 pur pallets. At 55 I just felt perhaps there was a more mature box, all those nudes were very unflattering. Then suddenly they would go complete opposite to over the top vibrant. I am past the club stage. I switched to ipsy and much happier.

Boxy already announced on their IG that April will be a Coachella theme with Dr Brandt, Pur and Luxie so far….posted as of an hour ago on Reddit and IG…

If I were in the running for Mimi on the Drew Carey show, I would like this. I am sort of ticked that I will be getting this palette. Rethinking boxycharm…

Sally

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 mimi!!!! Love this comment.

I’m so glad I decided to unsubscribe before they charged me for April. I don’t mind the shades, but I have enough warm neutral palettes with a pop of color and Pur eyeshadows just kind of suck. The packaging on these palettes is cheap af and always reeks of glue. Colourpop has better packaging and a better eyeshadow formula, and they’re super affordable! Why can’t a company like Pur do the same or better, considering how much they charge? Or better yet, why can’t boxy put some Colourpop palettes in their boxes? That would have kept me subscribed.

Nicole

Yes! Colourpop! They all need to start putting Colourpop in these boxes. Some of the best affordable eyeshadow out there, they blow brands like Morphe and even higher end like Tarte out of the water!

Boxycharm palette wins over Ipsy palette this month for me. But Ipsy has the It cosmetics brush.

Here it is, the end of March and were just now getting our “first” spoiler for Aprils box… We got March’s first spoiler Jan 10th.
What is going on at Boxy? People still waiting on March’s box..

I think they weren’t doing spoilers as early since they had shipping issues and people were getting boxes later than usual. Probably not wanting to seem to be moving on to the next month when they hadn’t even figured kinks out for current one. At least that’s my guess. Usually we have spoilers waay earlier.

I agree with the posters commenting on the Pur shadow formula. It is difficult to blend and the color payoff is meh.

April

I’m so glad I cancelled after last month’s box. Their customer service is awful and the delivery delays were frustrating. I don’t want another Pur palette.

Every Pur palette I have is well pigmented and blendable. The only one I don’t care for is Soriree Diaries, because it’s boring with a side of boring. I kept it because occasionally I attend funerals. I’m in my 40’s and all of you whinging about clown makeup and unbearable colors are tiresome. If you can’t blend Pur eyeshadows then you need better makeup brushes because it’s not hard at all. If you’re working in a corporate environment and can’t make color work that’s still you failing at makeup. I worked in the corporate world for decades and worked color just fine. My guess though, is you haven’t even tried. You just want what you want and it’s good that you’re quitting the subscription because you won’t experiment. Go buy a MAC brown eyeshadow and be done with it, that’s all that will make you happy. Pur is not a cheap or low quality brand. They’re outside of what I usually budget for makeup, so if all your whining ruins me getting it in my boxy I will be pissed. Be daring. Try something new. For example, try not bitching about getting adventurous makeup for such a low price.

Geez, calm down. People are going to complain about stuff. It’s not that serious.

lol! I kind of love this comment 😀

I’m really on the fence about cancelling this one. Holding on for 2 more spoilers just to make sure.

This palette is gorgeous, it’s a neutral palette with 2 pops of colour, which could easily be used in an everyday look. Just blend the pink or purple on the lower lash line with a more neutral top lid and you’ve got a cute spring look.

Personally I’m excited for this palette, I’ve used PUR products since before joining Boxycharm a year ago, and their quality is really nice. The glitters are gorgeous! I’m most excited to try out that 24K Magic colour!

Reply ButtonReply

June

I would run the pink or purple over a black or brown liner on my top lashline and add a little pop of shimmer on the lid. Can’t wait!!

So I only used the it cosmetics face cream so far out of the March luxe box… I’m not impressed so I’m cancelling. Which is super hard to do I’ve been with boxy for over 3 years. but the past 5 months i have been only using one or two things so I have a bunch of unopened products that I just won’t use. Oh well

Reply ButtonReply

Lena

The last couple of Pur products we got in boxy weren’t actually that bad. The sculpture contour palette is one of my favorites and the Midnight Masquerade had nice pigment. So I’ll wait until I get this palette before judging it.

Anyone concerned about these colors, google or watch some YouTube videos about pink and purple eye looks. It’s on trend this season. The 80’s are making a comeback!!! For real…not being silly. I wouldn’t have been so daring as to wear these colors to work but we had an 80’s themed department meeting. I was shocked that I liked it! I honestly could wear it out (maybe not corporate everyday look though lol).

Also trending… bolder lips and more subdued eye looks OR pastels. Bring out those red lips!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Virginia

Cancelled. I’d rather spend the money on things I will wear and love.

Reply ButtonReply

Tonya

Just no, no, no. hate it.

Reply ButtonReply

Joanie

Ugh! Seriously?! Clown makeup.

Reply ButtonReply

Madi

If you take out the hot pink and purple it’s a very normal color story. I love having a pop of color to play with.

Reply ButtonReply

Chanise

There’s a pink and a purple, every other colour in the palette is a neutral shade…

Reply ButtonReply

Tanisha

There’s always someone boring who claims that there isn’t 38 shades of neutral.
God forbid people like color, Karen

Gina

Must be why hot pink eyeshadow is trending…..we like to look like clowns

Reply ButtonReply

Aj

The colors are pretty , i see a lot comments about being 40+ and to old for these colors ,I’m 40 going on 41 and I’ll defiantly wear these shades as long as the formula is good. If your happy wearing brown ,neutrals or whatever good for you wear whatever makes you happy ,but don’t ever think you can’t wear glitters and bright colors because of your age. Wear glitter in your 90s if you want . 😙

Reply ButtonReply

Linda

I heard that be yourself where would you want to wear it will look good on you hey it looks good

Reply ButtonReply

Theresa

I’m 52 and look forward to receiving this next month

Reply ButtonReply

shirley anthony

I agree with you 100% …I am 52 and I use every colour there is…With neutrals a little pop of colour goes a long way. There is no age limit to trying new things.

Reply ButtonReply

kristen

Im with you! Im 46, and I love a pop of color, or a pop of shimmer or glitter in my eye look! I still wear a red lip if I’m doing a neutral eye. I’ll be bright and colorful until the day I die. I work at a salon, and there are the most beautiful ladies who come in with their make-up done in their 70s, 80s, and 90s.. I think they are beautiful!, and they are usually the happy ones!

Reply ButtonReply

jodi

I agree with you. Do what makes you happy, not what someone else says you should do!

Reply ButtonReply

damse

I’m in my 40s, work in a corporate environment, and wear colorful makeup a lot. I love neutrals, too, but having a little sparkle brightens my day. It’s all in the application.

Reply ButtonReply

Kelli

Totally agree. I’m sure if you want to go for the clown look you could, but personally I could make a completely normal colorful eye look with this palette.

I’m 47, celebrating my 27th anniversary today, and I don’t think any age is too old for any eyeshadows. Shame on those who think certain makeup is for a certain age. Opinions are fine but don’t make a proclamation as if it is factual.

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

Happy Anniversary!!!

And I totally agree!!

Annalisa Schmad

Absolutely! I am 55 years old and only really discovered and started wearing makeup since about 6 months ago. I love it! I love taking the time every day to make myself look and feel good. If it’s glitter that does it for you, do it! There’s no age limit on feeling beautiful.

Reply ButtonReply

rhonda

Yes I agree, I get up extra early and make my face. It’s a lot of fun seeing the end result, and I use everything. #46

Dee

It’s like Boxy forgot other brands exist. At this point I am considering using the 21$ towards a product I would actually enjoy trying from other brands. I always end up using about one item (if that) from the box anyway.

Sherry Ledford

I’m canceling my subscription! Not because of the pur palette but because boxy has become a joke and after it taking almost all of March for me to get my March box I’m over it. What was the beauty quiz for? They sent everyone in 1 of the boxycharm groups the wrong shade cover fx palette!

Reply ButtonReply

Cecilie

I seem to in the minority here, because I think this palette is gorgeous! I unsubscribed from Boxy several months ago, and since then not a single spoiler has made me consider resubscribing. Until now. I like this!

Reply ButtonReply

Marisol Melero

I totally agree!

I am beyond exited! I too think its gorgeous!

I wont blame my age its just not me!! But am totally happy that others get a chance to vary. Would be a dream come true if there was an option!!

Reply ButtonReply

TheGlamorousGeek

I already have a palette that looks really similar to this: the Pat McGrath MTHRSHP La Vie En Rose palette. I might give this away, since I can create this with one or two palettes I already have and that I know are superior in quality.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

I have a few Juvias that have these colors- I think this will be gifted from me as well. That never bothers me though, because my daughter has birthday parties to go to and she has a reputation to uphold as giving the best gifts 😉 (basically every sub box palette, mascara and lippie I’ve ever gotten, haha) I probably have the worst reputation as the mom who gives out makeup!

Reply ButtonReply

Nichole

I’m glad to finally get some fun colors again. Some people are upset because it’s not something they would wear but that’s why I like boxycharm, I get a variety of things to try for a low price that I wouldn’t normally go out of my way to try. I will say that I’d like to see more than Pur pallets because they do them so often. Still, I’m excited to try this and have fun with it.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

I cancelled today not because of the colors but because PUR had the worst quality shadows I have ever tried.

A TON of people on reddit are saying they cancelled today because of this spoiler. Boxy actually closed the charm shop today (until April) probably to try and stop the cancellations. They threaten when you cancel that you could lose all your charms.

Anyway it isn’t the colors. It’s the formula.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenn

I wholly agree! It’s not the shades in the palette that bother me, it’s the quality of Pur products is general. They’re not good. I said this in another post, I think BoxyCharm uses this brand a lot because it’s easy to obtain, they probably have tons of product they need to get rid of because they don’t sell so much, and this is how boxy can get it for cheap.. I’ve actually purchased products from their website, and will never again..

Marty

Still a neutral palette with a purple and pink

Reply ButtonReply

SJ

^^^ THIS!!
In my last Boxy I got the Becca lipstick in Chocolate. I hated it! Until I tried it, and now I LOVE it!
And I also got the 12D morph palette (all the oranges). I hated that too! Until I tried it. I LOVE that one too! 🙂
It’s so much fun discovering things that I NEVER would have chosen, but have now been added to my absolute favorites list.

Kelly

I am excited to see it in person!
