Dia and Co December 2018 - Box Front

Dia & Co
2.5 overall rating
75 Ratings | 24 Reviews

Dia & Co. is a monthly plus size clothing subscription box that is personally curated for you by a Dia stylist. Upon enrolling with Dia, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes and dislikes. Every month my stylist selects five pieces that could be clothes or accessories to try out. If I like them, I have the option of buying them. There is a $20 per month service fee, but the fee can be applied to any purchases I opt to make. A 20% discount is applied if I choose to keep all five pieces too!

The items in my box are chosen personally for me dependent and reflective of my style and price preference, so the package you receive from Dia & Co. may be entirely different than mine!

Dia and Co December 2018 - Envelope Front

Here is that adorable Dia & Co envelope I look forward to seeing every month!

Dia and Co December 2018 - Letter Front

Also enclosed is this darling message from this month’s stylist, Lisa. She took note of my love of vintage style pieces. She gives great styling tips for each item too—which I love!

Dia and Co December 2018 - Invoice Front

The other form is an invoice that has a detailed list of the brand, name, color, size, and price of each item she selected for me along with the grand total after the styling fee and 25% off ( if I opt to keep all five items) is applied. My prices aren’t listed but the total would be $315. After the $20 styling fee and 25% is applied my balance for the entire box would be $221.25! The savings would be $93.75 if I did decide to keep everything! That isn’t too shabby! That would be like getting the Sabrina Collection dress, Daniel Rainn blouse, or Rafaella pants for free!

Well, Lisa nailed this one on the head! HOMERUN! As soon as I unboxed this, I gasped out loud! This pattern is everything a lover of vintage and retro could want. The dress is made of a slinky, stretchy black material that has this stunning 60s/70s era inspired floral pattern with orange, mustard yellow, mauve pink as the color palette outlined in white. I am obsessed! It fits incredibly well and has seductive slits on each side so you can show off your gams, babes! I styled this piece with a faux leather biker jacket and mustard yellow mules, but I am sure it can be winterized with pattern tights, booties, and a tan faux fur collared jacket. I can’t wait till it warms up a bit here so I can wear this dream dress! It will be my go to in spring through fall!

I asked for jumpsuits and my stylist, Lisa, delivered! This stretchy black jumpsuit has a deep v-neck and lace detail on the long sleeves. The fabric is so soft and comfortable--- I feel like I am wearing a loungewear item. I love black against reds and yellows, so I paired this look with the same mules and a black and red beaded necklace from one of my previous CHC Vintage Accessory boxes. This is a versatile piece that one can wear at the office or out to a club on the weekend with silver go-go boots and cascading rhinestone earrings.

I have received quite a few pieces from the Junarose brand through Dia & Co—my most recent piece aside from this being a fantastic poncho featured in my November review! Many of their collections have a retro meets modern vibe. This sweater is reminiscent of ones popular in the 80s when I was a kid that paid homage to similar styles from late 50s and early 60s. The sweater has a fantastic embroidered floral design. I love the contrast of the pastels against the deep blue-green. I paired this sweater with the plaid pants Lisa also picked out for me and wore my yellow mules to bring out the design on the sweater. I can also envision this looking great with mustard tights, black mini skirt, and oxfords for a cute casual daytime museum date!

I have been on the hunt for the perfect tapered plaid pant to live my best dream life as a chubby Ann Margret; so thanks, Lisa! The beauty of these pants is how incredibly stretchy and comfortable they are—I look like I am dressed up, but they are as easy to wear as a pair of Fabletics leggings! Wear these to work with a button blouse, cardigan, and heels at work or with a big, bulky sweater like this one I received in Trunk Club and flats for an ensemble cute enough for Kim McAfee in Bye, Bye Birdie!

Finally, we have another killer vintage-inspired piece. I love pussybow style tops and this rich maroon shade is perfect for fall and winter months. The top was a wee bit boxy on me, so I prefer it tucked in but wanted to include pics of how this piece looks both ways for you guys. I love it paired with this bright golden yellow skirt from Modcloth and olive booties, but I also love styling this with skinny legged dark denim jeans, a tan coat with fur collar detail, a large brimmed Stevie Nicks hat, and bone colored western booties for a chic, yet casual 70s era look.

Verdict: This is my first box of styles selected by Lisa and I am obsessed! The Sabrina Collective is my far and away favorite, but this entire box feels like it was hand-picked just for me. It feels so personalized to my tastes! I love that there are both pieces I can wear to hang out with friends on the weekend as well as my office job. Having such a thoughtful subscription box is great for a busy lady like me that is always on the go! This month’s box was a complete success!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Dia & Co curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This box has a $20 styling fee and includes free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $315. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount. The $20.00 styling fee for the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $221.25 for the whole box. Ultimately, that is a 30% off discount.

So do you get to keep everything for free? I know you listed prices but your invoice has zeros…
Great review and everything looks awesome on you.

I was actually wondering the same thing. The way they have the invoice printed is very odd. I would think for a review they would have listed the prices so they could have been included in the review process. It actually isn’t a strange question to ask and I don’t believe it was clear whether the clothes were free to keep or had to be returned. There is no reason for the ladies responded to be nasty and childish in their responses. It was a realistic question.

the box is provided to the reviewer at no cost for review, as stated at the beginning of the review.

Yes, but other clothing boxes reviewed the box is provided without the styling fee but they still have to buy the clothes, at least that is what I read on one of Haley’s reviews. I was just curious if this one did it different. Everything looks great on her so it would be totally lucky and awesome if she got to keep all the clothes for free.
